Another good tip for people that have the DLC is to get the sugar bowl suites apartment in Rimmen for 3k gold, (Vulkhel Guard in Auridon for people that don't have DLC), you can teleport (outside) to it for free and puts you right at a wayshrine. I do that sometimes if I need to do a lot of jumping around. Really you never have to pay for a wayshrine if you are willing to wait through an extra loading screen.

Pro tip: Traveling to guild or group members is always free. Even if they aren’t where you want to go, it’s a quick and free way to get to a wayshrine then you just port to where you need to go. Ever wonder how groups are getting to dolmens, harrowstorms, etc so fast? This is how. When you port to a group member you’ll auto port to the nearest shrine to them without the need to run to the wayshrine. A guild roster is also a great way to collect wayshrine locations you don’t have.

another thing not mentionned about the gear reconstruct feature: Deconstructing a gear piece that was reconstructed always refunds 25 transmute crystals. This leads into 2 possible ways to take advantage of this. 1. You can reconstruct a gear set to use during an update after collecting the whole set at the minimal cost. Then if that set becomes obsolete in a later patch, you can deconstruct it, get the transmutes back and reconstruct the next set you're going to use with the crystals you got back. 2. If you are close to the transmute crystal carrying capacity, you can use this to store 25 transmute crystals into single slot items. I currently have 20 random reconstructed gear pieces banked which are worth 500 transmute crystals total and I am sitting close to the cap at 919/1000 crystals. Therefore, I could spend crystals to gear up a new character, then deconstruct my gear pieces I have stored and get some crystals back. To be the most efficient though it needs to be used on a set you have fully collected and also not a mythic as you cannot deconstruct mythics (at least as far as I'm aware).

A neat wayshrine trick: if you're near the ocean and are too lazy to run to the nearest wayshrine you can just swim out (for about 8-10 seconds) and get killed by fish - then you get an option to respawn at the nearest wayshrine for free (works well for unlocking undiscovered wayshrines too). Same thing if you leap off a cliff and die.

It took me over 200 hours of playtime to realize that red weapon icon on the bottom of my screen meant my weapon had no charges left for the enchant to trigger. It was a Bow and Arrow icon, like duh I don't have a bow equipped.... And I wish I knew about stablemaster training from day 1 and also slowly researched all the traits for crafting instead of vendoring all that gear. When I hit CP 160 I should have been using a full set of "training" trait gear for easier open world/public dungeon farming. In a way it kinda feels good to learn something new each time I play rather than being swamped and quit the first week.

Thanks, I have played for a long time but still picked up a tip or two. I didn't realize I could leave a skill for an unequipped weapon up to get experience on it as well as my active weapon. I just automatically switched out and didn't consider the possibilities. Now I am going to get ALL my weapons leveled while doing overland content.

as always, the data presented by you and your team is spot on, even though the free travel between players on you friends list or within a guild was not mentioned brings about the memory of how we learned, as you did by trial and error, observation. or paying attention to in game chat, etc. I am still disappointed that those of us who have played since 2014 have done a lot of redoing to add to our equipment lists because we did not have the storage, or knowledge of the changes to be brought about in in future chapters. Ty Hack as usual well done. Over the years I learned a few tips that can help people. With the pvp events coming ,(for non pvp people) do a ton of quests before the event and turn in during the event. Also, during the pvp events of your doing the 1 a day quests you start in IC do a quest then hit L port to cryo do your quest turn it in hit L port to IC turn in the quest you did there then use the exit to port out. No need to navigate through the tunnels or die/run to wayshires. Last one I'll mention now 😊 is leveling mages guild. Forget the guild quests, start in your alliance zone and get all the books, sky shards, public dungeon skill points, you get bonus guild XP for finishing zones. By the time your done (3-5 hrs) not only will you have the mages guild done, you'll have 25-35 skill points and a good portion of the psijic quest line (wayshires needed ) unlocked. Ty Hack for the post. P.s. for IC best way to get all 6 quests done, pick them all up first, start in any zone and exit on the left or right side, but once you pick your path, you always head in that direction/ aka all left or all right.

id add in that bosses also have a small chance of dropping a named piece which is calculated on a different loot table percentage as a bonus drop so possible to get 2 drops from 1 boss, so glad someone has finally mentioned the ship/caravan route iv been telling people about in zone chat for years that nobody ever seems to know about, on a new character i travel to all 15 base game capitals and pick up the nearest skyshards and with just a 50% xp scroll u can quite easily get 5 or 6 levels worth of xp and roughly 6 skill points worth of skyshards as well as the points u get from leveling which can be very helpful for new players, the quick cast was something that took me almost 3 yrs to find out about lol but id add in the combat cues u scrolled past to get to it and maxing out their brightness and changing the colours to something hard to miss like passion pink or tourquoise, as much as i like being able to make a mythic again for 25 gems its a little annoying that u cannot break it down again to get those 25 gems back, i understand not being able to break the original mythic down but the reconstructed ones made entirely from gems should be allowed to be broken down imo, another great vid hack with some very useful tips that took me a few years to gather as well keep the vids coming theyre always much appreciated

I have 900 hours in to the game and I still learned new things from this video lol. Like what specific gear slots different open world bosses/events drop, how to travel to the other alliances' zones before finishing the main campaign in Coldharbour, quick cast ground abilities (this is huge for me), block casting. Oh, and ultimate generation - I thought I had to whack monsters constantly with light attacks to generate ult, not that it was a short-duration buff. For the skyshards I disagree though - leveling up all your professions, which is important, eats A LOT of skill points, you have to start gathering them at some point. Besides, a simple addon for them and you pick them up by "just playing the game".

You can use your guild mates to access zones without cost by selecting a guild mate in the zone and travel to player in the option list. it will take you to the wayshine closest to that player

What i like to do is go to all the weyshrines in each zone first, that way you can go virtually anywhere at anytime while still gaining exp, resources, and set pieces! Thanks for this vid!!! cheers

Utilising houses can be a big benefit too. I use our guild house to do master writs and then port to the Snugpod house in Grathwood. There are a few benefits to this one it costs nothing and if you have a bounty you can swim to the writ vendors to dodge the guards. It is even better now you can port to the outside of the house.

Another trick to travel to zones where you don't have wayshrines and you're not close to to the docks, join a guild or two first. Then if you want to travel to a zone without a wayshrine, you can search the roster for your guild and see if someone is in the zone where you want to go. If there is someone in your guild in the zone you want to travel to, you can choose to "Travel to Player" and it will take you right there.

Playing for a couple or three years now and had more than one TIL moment with this. Good job!

PC (K&M) has this annoying AOE double cast going on at 14:45. I am so glad I found a solution because casting catrops twice makes no sense and waits my stamina, not to mention hard to cancel ability (just doesn't exist like other games)

Great tips! I'm playing sorc one bar heavy build. I gotta say, this is op lol. The ultimate and especially gear tips are very important. You want to make sure you have two sets of the 5 piece set bonuses.

All the public dungeon bosses I have killed drop weapons for me. I use PD to complete my overland sets in each zone really quickly due to two 5 minute cooldown for farming bosses. Getting that last 10 set pieces takes about 30 minutes. The double XP event where one does Master Writs to gain tons of XP in a short time also works for skills lines, any skill line. No weapon required. Even the undaunted skill lines. This trick does not work on base skills to level 50 that have a different XP requirement, like the undaunted. All my base skills are at level 50, so I am now leveling all the different skills lines thank to the armory that allows me to quickly reset back to my main build. I use the "empty" armory slot to have my base green tree stars that I use for all builds along with all the crafting skills lines that I use on all builds. Makes respect faster due to not having to redo the same thing every time.

@5:40 Treasure chests and random drops still give any type of item in a set and does not respect the sticker books unlocks. I can attest to this quite well.

I am CP 1450 and just learned about "autorun" last week when I was messing with my key bindings. So convenient! I had never noticed it before 😂

I found a little trick lets you fast travel home and back to the same spot : go inside your owned room/home when you need to access your chest to store/take stuff and then (from inside) go to visit a room/home you don't own. When you exit that place you find yourself to the exact spot you left - "don't pass GO" (no Wayshrine), free to continue your quest !

Look i just got into eso and people everywhere were telling me to light attack weave, because it improves dps. How many people were talking about it generating ultimate? 0 maybe, but Cool. I'm glad I know that it generates ult now. That justifies it so much more in my head.

One additional tip briefly touched on is to equip skills, weapons, and armor that you want to improve then complete a quest. This includes completing writs. You're doing yourself a disfavor by having all the skills and equipment being used already maxed out when you finish a quest. Better to waste points on unused skills and only equip them when turning in quests. That way when you change your build all your skills will be maxed.

On alts it's actually very easy to get around if you just buy a cheap 3000 gold inn room in every city with you main character. Houses are account bound unlike wayshrines you unlock. And an added bonus is that teleporting to them is free of charge even from the wilds where you don't have easy access to a wayshrine. I can hear people say that 3000 gold is quite a lot but it's less than what you get for doing all the daily writs on one character so that shouldn't stop you. Even if you only have 1 level 50 doing the daily writs each day gets 150.000+ gold a month. Having 10 characters though adds a zero to that and gold no longer becomes an issue :)

There is an ocean in Grahtwood... It's in the city of Haven. There just isn't an ocean by Elden Root... However, there are wagons on the south side of the big tree in Elden Root... They take you to the coast... The best way to free travel to a new region is to pull up the Roster to your guild, which if you're not a member of 5 (five) you're doing it wrong... Then right-click and travel to, that player... This way, you don't annoy people (the lute player in Vulkhel Guard, for example...) just to "taxi" you places...

* On the subject of traveling to new locations, use the "travel to player" function. You can find that in the guild roster menu, or your friend list. Alt click on any player in the list, and select "travel to player." You travel to whichever wayshrine is nearest to that player. That is a very fast method to unlock wayshrines, even wayshrines your character is not supposed to have visited yet. * On that same note, alt clicking any player in the list will also give the option to travel to that player's primary house. That is a fantastic shortcut to wherever that house is located. My primary house is a convenient shortcut to Riften. After that, run to the nearest wayshrine. This method is slower, but equally as effective in unlocking wayshrines. * Skyshards and lorebooks are best unlocked alongside the Psijic Order time rift quests. Do all three all at once. Doing them all together will save you SO MUCH TIME.

Block casting is something I never knew about... been playing off and on since launch.

Addition to the skill point part: Doing the Quest inside each dungeon awards 1 skill point. So if you see rude people trying to speedrun try to mention you are doing quest because you may have to do interactables or kill side mini bosses for the quest completion. ^This happens to be my main way to gain skill points after I’m 50 because I’m even more lazy and don’t like public dungeons lmao

One of the first things I would do is get into a guild. That way you can travel to player in every zone. So fast to open every zone.

If you are deep in a dungeon and want to get out without the return trip or spending gold, you can port to a party member. This is free and will take you to the nearest wayshrine to that character. Often this is overland outside somewhere. From there port to the city to sell/decon your new stuff. Your party members can in turn port to you in the city. Entire party can go from deep in a dungeon to the nearest city in about 30 seconds for free. It may also unlock the wayshrine you arrive at if you have the DLC.

Lol, wanted to do an ulti gen tutorial like since 2017, because NO creator (to my knowledge) has ever done it. Never really started tutorials but that would have been my #1 Episode.^^ Speaking of which, ulti gens also from blocking, succesfully dodging and crit healing in combat.

My in game experince, destruction staffs dont count as 2 pc for 5pc sets. Ive yet to get that on staffs not sure if its a bug or whatever

for the wayshrine stuff the other way to do it for free is utilizing the housing function since teleporting to your house is always free so if you pickup a house in a main city thats close to a portal you can always quickly jump to it then use the nearby waypointto zip to another waypoint.

Owned home tip: Unlike wayshrines that cost to teleport to, a owned home is free, doesn't matter either teleporting inside it or outside of it! This is good if you want to leave out of a delve/dungeon or somewhere in the wilderness quick.

1. Does it matter which attack I do to regenerate ultimate? light vs heavy? Or do they both regenerate the same amount of ultimate? 2. What resource does unarmed punching restore, if any?

As a player that has been in the game from launch, I can tell you that the 2-handed weapon bonus does not always register, and that is very frustrating when you need to count on that bonus to complete a gear set.

I dont get the part at 13:05, with the lvl 10 alliance pvp cyrodiil quest.. Whats the name of the quest, where do I accept it and can I only do it if I am alliance war lvl 10?

For quick travelling, I would add in there the acquisition of as many 'free' or 'low gold cost' homes as possible, because you can travel to them for free at any time.

Tip : make a macro that spams left mouse clicks, bind it to a key or mouse button, you have adquired semi auto attack you also get as bonus rewards: easy weaving, you dont destroy your mouse, your fingers, and your soul, one step closer to tab targeting.

Some of these are actually explained in the game, especially if you actually pay attention during the tutorial (which new players need to do at least once) and read the tips whenever you level up or unlock something new. During the combat portion of the tutorial, it does explain that heavy attacks restore resources, though it does not clarify that some restore magicka and some restore stamina. When you unlock your first Ultimate (I can't recall if it happens when one first becomes available to get with a skill point or when you actually get it with a skill point), it will give you a popup saying how to get Ultimate. I believe it also sometimes appears as a tip on the loading screens. When you unlock your first Wayshrine, it will tell you that the cost increases the more you use them. It is a bit misleading from what I remember, as I recall when I first started playing that I got worried about how expensive it would be to use and having to run around so much, but I may have been a bit stupid when reading what it said at the time. I vaguely recall there actually being a tip when you level up about set bonuses that mentions how it works for two handed weapons, as I know a few level up rewards are gear with set bonuses (no proper set to reconstruct though). I might be misremembering this one. The game also does a decent job of indirectly teaching newer players with things, but it does require following the main story a bit and doing zone quests. The first main story quest forces you to pick a lock (other tutorials have an area with a lock to pick but they aren't usually mandatory), teaches you about map hazards, and gives you a very watered down version of a Dolmen when you save The Prophet. Then the starter zones it drops you off in (Kenarthi's Roost, Bleakrock Isle followed by Bal Foyen, Stros M'Kai followed by Betnikh) do a decent job of teaching players to explore, with the zone stories more or less taking you to all of the Skyshards, Wayshrines, and even Points of Interest, having some that are nearly impossible to miss and some that don't require much, if any, real searching. Ebonheart Pact does this the best in my opinion, Aldmeri Dominion the worst, but they all do a decent job at it. And if you do quests, especially the Alliance zone stories, the quest markers will point out the various methods of travelling to a new zone, whether you want to run there or take a boat or carriage. Anyway, onto other actual tips: There is a free player home you can get in every starting zone, including the Chapter DLCs. You can get one per character, but they are saved on your account. This is very useful for saving gold, as you can warp to the outside of any owned player home for free, and they are set to your account, not your character. This can make for a great escape option if you need to get out of somewhere quickly while low on funds, when saving your gold for something (like better player homes)... Or for a ssfe place to hide from Guards. The most useful for this, in my opinion, is the Sugar Bowl Suite in Northern Elsweyr, as it is just outside of a Wayshrine for more open free travel, and if you're careful, you can fairly easily reach the Wayshrine without encountering guards, or even potentially reach the Outlaw's Refuge without encountering a guard, if you want to clear your bounty at a Fence to keep your stolen goods and work on an achievement instead of waiting for the bounty to just go away. If you don't have the appropriate chapter DLC, Mara's Kiss in Auridon is the next best for this in my opinion. Work on training your horse immediately! You will get a Crown Riding Lesson free as you level, but there's still 179 you need to get, and you can only do one each day unless you get more Crown Riding Lessons elsewhere (daily rewards, ideally, there's better things to spend Crowns on). Do not buy pack space until after level 12. At level 12, you will be gifted with a pack space upgrade, but only if you have not bought one yourself. If you have, it will only be a tip telling you that you can buy more. Save your gold, get the first one free. This also happens with bank space at level 16, but since bank space is saved across accounts, its only free the first time a you get a character to that level. The pack space is a gift for that character, as it is tied to the character and not the account. The PVP tutorial quests will give you enough Alliance Skill levels to get Continuous Attack, a passive that will grant you a constant speed buff when riding your horse. Also, the PVP tutorials will give you 9,000 AP, which brings you to Rank 3 or level 3 in those skills, not level 2. Any AP earned through Daily Rewards will also level those skill trees. You can actually level 7 different skill lines at once. I don't know why you would want to, but on top of every skill earning experience for that line, the weapon that is equipped will earn experience too. If you give yourself the first skills for One Hand With Shield, Two Hand, and Dual Wield as well as the first skills for two class abilities and the uktimate for the third, while wielding a bow, you will level all seven skill trees at once. You will, however, only have two skills to consistently use during combat, and there is no need to level 4 weapon skill lines at once.

Does the skills on my back bar get the XP when handing quests in, or is it just the front bar?

How do you know if your current character has received a skill point or not from a dungeon? Other characters have already gone through all the dungeons and received the achievements.

yeah, they never updated the tutorial after One Tramrail update, the way shrine thing use to not be an issue because you could only play in the faction area of your chosen faction, now you can go anyplace anytime

10:27 You missed a 3 skill lines you can level up at that same time. Armor lines. By wearing 2 armor pieces of light, medium and heavy at the same time will level them up all three at the same time. It's nice to have all 3 capped before you hit 50 as it allows you to create different playstyles at the Armory Station. For instance, you want a sneaky build to go do... well sneaky things like stealing and assassinating people ? Create a build at the armory station and put your skill points in medium armor. You want a tank build ? Go create a build and spec you points in heavy armor. You want to be a caster or a healer ? Do the same but put you points in to light armor... That's why it's great to level up all 3 armor lines at once while levelling up, it really sucks and is time consuming having to do it once you reach 50.

I've collected every piece of oblivion set except the chest. So I think that them giving you pieces you have not collected is bogus or it's not working correctly. I've gotten 8 pairs of boots though.😅

Don’t forget if you switch over from one set piece weapon you loose the perverse set bonus well 2 stacks of it

Why no mention of animation cancelling? It used to be a must for optimal play and especially pvp.
