Oh, Joie, I love this video. I was having problems with "Junk" Journaling.... and this brought everything together for me!!. I love your videos and save them all!. I love that you gave tips which as a somewhat 'newbie', I certainly need. Thank you for another great video!!!
Joie, you take the form of junk journaling and turn it into the most creative, joyful, and whimsical form of art, moreso than anyone else in our Community! You inspire me with each delightful video. I'm learning so much and figuring out how to "have a play" as I have never done before. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Makes me happy to hear your voice and imagine im crafting along! Please know you are very missed and hoping you are getting better every day! Its nice that we all have so many wonderful videos to watch so thank you for them!
Really helpful advice and love the checklist! Currently experiencing health issues so like the idea of creating tags and ephemeral, short small projects for future junk journals! Your kind and calm manner draws me in and gives me hope for creativity! A while ago you got me and my daughter with mood boards! She went on to do several junk journals, thank you for sharing!
Loved this video Joie, THANK YOU for your inspiration and for sharing your wide knowledge. I also sooo enjoyed Friday's video with you, Barbara and Luisa. The three of you are the doyens of the junk journaling world in my eyes. I learn something each time I watch one of your videos. I hope we will be seeing a lot more of the 3 of you together and maybe some challenges between you three. As usual, Blessings and hugs Diana
Love the way you are putting everything together. You make it look so easy...I get overwhelmed and then I do not do anything...Have to try again...Enjoyed the podcast. Take care. x Blessings x Mariana UK xx

Joie: this was another super video on helpful hints for beginners. I took notes again. I enjoy your way of explaining. Thank you. Carol from California
Thank you Joie! How helpful this video is. I sometimes get stuck and don't know what to do to make a page cohesive, yet different, if that makes sense. This video has helped a lot.
That's a great run through. I've just spent a lovely couple of hours making envelopes and gluing book pages and embellishment together a la Joie de Fi - I could spend the rest of my life doing that! Thanks for the ideas and processes.
Love the ease of Digi prints. Love to mix and match. My many source of vintage books has been put on hold yet again. Not available until April of 2023. By then I should be in dire need of some pages!
I just love this video. You always give me so much inspiration and make everything so much easier to understand. I am getting things ready to start my first journal for myself. I want it to be simple but pretty. I will definitely be using your guidelines for it! Blessings to you!🥰
This was very helpful for me, with a lot of tips I can use in my own journaling. I especially like the idea of scanning my own work to use later....never thought of that! Thank you!
Joie, I love your tutorials! Your explanations are easy to understand and follow along. I just completed the journal previous to this video. Now I’m ready to add ephemera, spatters, labels, ink, etc. as I follow along with you in this video. Thank you so much for these wonderful videos and tutorials. Merilyn, native Californian
Do love your decorating style 😍 and you gave me a bit of inspiration for the junk journal January to😍 Thanks for sharing great tips 👏❤🙏 lots of love from arctic Norrway 🙌🌹🌼🌷🌻
Thanks very much Jenny!! And what a great place to live... From distant memory I visited on route along the Great Ocean Road.. thanks so much for visiting. Hope to see you soon!👍😁💜
I really enjoyed watching the podcast with you ,Luise and Barbara. I hope there are more to come . It was fun to watch. Thanks for all the inspiration in this journal. Great ideas and tips . Blessings to you.xx
Thank you Joie, this was so helpful. I am new to junk journalling, so I have been binge watching all your videos lol. Love your style 😍 You are a wonderful inspiration ❤
The only thing I would say is that if you are starting from scratch or are away from home you would need to buy quite alot of supplies to do these ideas which add up. I would love to see you create some pages where you use items that can be found in all homes such as magazines, newspapers, junk mail. A challenge to complete a junk journal for under a certain amount or with only basic supplies such as scissors glue etc. I mention this as I am away from home looking after my Mum so not working and feel others may be in similar circumstances. I find you inspirational BTW x
That's a very good suggestion Alison, whether we're away from home or crafting in a limited space / with a limited budget I guess the point is the same. Let me process this idea, and thanks for the prompt. Take care, and thanks for taking the time to share this 👍💜 Joie 🦋
Oh I really need to dig out my fountain pen, such a lovely addition! Such helpful tips that leave room for our individual interpretation and style. Love your layers and special pieces. That label page is so effective, great advice! Lol yes, odd but coffee does calm me 😄. I love architecture so those arches are really me 😍. Fantastic video from our queen of calm! Tfs 💖
Love it. I'm going to copy down the promps. I'm going to use the jour a. In your style for the junk journal ju.y. I'm behind so will need to try to catch up.
This soft journal has covered a lot of ground with words to what and why. Many thanks. P.S. Enjoyed the Pod cast with you and Luise Heinzl and Barbara/49 dragonflies.
So fun to watch your creations. I’ve bound my pages but I’m frozen as to where to begin to decorate the pages😳. I think I’m going to have to make the flips and ephemera pieces while Im watching your videos. Hopefully in time I won’t be so frozen to start. The ideas just don’t come naturally to me.
This is really amazing and just what i needed as i only just starting to do my own journal following your style because in my country there is limited resources . Thanks.
I get so excited every time I see a new video from you 🤗 I love how you explain your techniques and show examples AND your so organized in your thoughts! Thanks for another great video…… waiting for the next one 😉
That's awesome Angie, and I'm actually sitting at my desk shaping up the next one, so definitely more to come. Your feedback is super helpful...and really appreciated!!🥰😁💜💜💜
Thank you Joie for sharing your ideas. Absolutely love the way you explain how to do. Also love your creations and I know I could not do the same! And your dedication just shines there and it is absolutely joyfull to watch and listen, you obviously love what you do! How long does it take from you to create anenvelope flipbook or a journal? Enjoy your week and have fun!
Do you mean an undecorated journal? Probably more than an hour but less than two if it's a simple single signature that I fold pages in and sew in. My envelope flip books can take longer. The time consuming part is the decoration which can take a lot longer!!❤️👍
@@joiedefi Thank you for your quick answer! I was thinking a full decorated journal...but as you said making a single signature journal takes less than an hour was a reliefing news... I`m not a hopelessly slow in creating only trying to do everything at once and having hard time choosing papers! Unfortunately can`t sit and create...must pick blueberries for the winter..and wild raspberries too. Free superfood from Finnish forests. Have a great week!
This was a fabulous video. I thank you for explaining the techniques. I have been too apprehensive about making a journal. I love making ephemera but a journal is scary to me. This is going to be so helpful. Have a blessed day Joie 🙂.
I learn something new in each video I watch of yours! I love your accent! The calm voting is so relaxing to me! I am so glad that I found your channel from Shabbydabbydodah! xx
I love this video!!! I need to follow prompts. I love the idea of including the prompt ideas inside the cover! I’m going to include the too list too. I have a huge stash of the pockets, envelopes, ephemera etc that I’ve created following your videos. Thank you! You are my muse!!!! I’ve joined your FB page too. Where can I get the prompts?
Hello!! 😁 Look up #junkjournaljuly on Instagram. The pages that are posted have that tag and the prompt should be tagged with that too. Also try the Instagram page of @ megjournals!! Great to meet you, let's have some fun!!😁👍❤️
Hi Dee!! The stamp is Stampers Anonymous..so it actually is a Tim Holtz design. I believe it comes in a set. I found it on eBay second hand. 😁💜 I found the set online .. it's called "Going Somewhere"❤️
Great video as always this was very helpful with everything you explained I did take a screen shot so I can always go back & use these helpful ideals in my journals. Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️❣️
Hi Joie, Was this fun to watch, yes! I love every bit of this journal and your explanations (using your list of page ideas and the prompts) are wonderful, clear, and somehow you make sense of each item on your pages. I have incorporated many many of your ideas into my journals such as using folded papers that must be unfurled by the reader.I'm sorry that I've forgotten the name, but I recently bought on Amazon a small packet of black and white people itching to be painted in watercolor. I thought you would love them as I watched today's video. They are about 4" tall and 1" at the widest along with a few even smaller children. They are just the cutest little people and are very well done. If you like, you can look at them on Amazon under "Paper Doll Ephemera Collage Kit 45 pcs By CATaireen Junk Journal Supplies Vintage Picture Cards." As you likely know, Joie, if you were to try putting in as your search "Paper Dolls", you likely won't find them that way. I tried it today, and nothing like these little people showed up (only children's paper dolls). Try looking under "CATaireen Junk Journal Vintage Supplies" or similar, but by using CATaireen, the brand name. I'm not sure it'll work, but I certainly hope it will because I just know you would love them to add to your journals and/or collages. That is what I'm going to do. Let me know what you think. Thank you for sharing your hard, yet fun, work with all of us. XOXOJane
