Hi Ed, Mate thank YOU!!!!! so much for this.... My son is 17 and I have been teaching him Personal Development since he was 10. He was sitting today on his own watch ing and listening notating..... He considers you his Mentor. You give so much to so Many thank you! God Bless you! 🙏🤗
So on track I am now 58 and became Head of Mentoring at our Entrepreneurial University I just got approved to create a Networking event throughout the semester for all our Business School students teaching Communication and getting them to practice it and build their brand I also lecture in Personal Finance Awesome as always Ed Mylett truth
Raising 4 children and now 11 grandchildren, you are a mentor, throughout your life you will see the wisdom you have passed down to them. The best thing is to see them grow and ultimately come to you and say Dad I understand now what you were telling us.
Great Video. I agree that the younger you start, ahead of the crowd you will be 1. Be willing to outwork others: Finding balance for success in part of my Learning - From perfectionism to Efficient 2. Be willing to work for nothing for access to a Mentor: I create content for free but need to do more - Still need to do more 3. Start a business early: Started as a Teacher and I started my first business at 50 and I am learning every day 4. Study the art of communication: I created my YT channel to get me to work on my English Communication Skills. 5. Build a brand and your network: I am building my YT channel and I need to know more people 6. Live below your means: I say: Respect your resources 7. Have emergency saving: Building peace of mind 8. Learn and study money: The more I learned, the more I realized I needed to become an entrepreneur. 9. Take advantage of your gifts: I work hard and I can teach - I am working on nurturing these gifts. 10. Become an expert on real estate: This needs to be worked on. GREAT Video to make me think Mr. Mylett. Alain Faber
This is PURE GOLD!!! I'm in my early 30's. I've got about half of these down. I have to work on the other half. Learning how to communicate has been an amazing journey for my podcast especially learning from John Maxwell.. I have read 5 of the books you recommended, now I have to get the other half. Thanks so much Ed!!!!
Wise thought process, Marilyn. I am in the same boat and John Maxwell, Ed Mylett and many similar leadership coaches has impacted my life. Proud to say have got mentors in important areas too…👏🏽👏🏽
Absolutely amazing! We preach everyone of these things to our kids basically every day. It’s so good to hear from you. We are on vacation but will be in the car for about an hour today and we will have our phones off and this particular message. Thank you so much.
The emphasis on mentorship is spot on. A little-known fact is that most successful mentors are also looking to learn from their mentees, creating a two-way street of growth that can accelerate success for both parties. Plus, surrounding yourself with a diverse network can provide unexpected opportunities and insights.
Ed, I'm a huge fan, I've been listening for years, literally hundreds of your podcasts. This is SOO useful, EXCELLENT advice to a younger self and just anyone at all! Huge thanks, you're a blessing in my life
Hey Ed, I listen to you carefully because I know you care. You lead by example, you are a great communicator, you are humble, you are what you teach. Not many can do that. I'm improving my life and you are playing an important role in this, the ton of information you share is priceless and I thank you for doing this in public.
Thank you for the immense value you provided in this episode! When you say to listen to those who are coming back from the path you wish to take, you are one of those people for your audience (or at least me)
Somehow I haven't been notified lately of your videos. So I am glad to be here!! As a public speaking professor I am thrilled you are discussing good communication!!
What wouldn't I do to work for you even for just one day! I would take notes of anything coming out of your mouth. Actually, I would bring a pocket size tape recorder because with your kind of life I doubt I'd have time to stop and take notes. I don't drink coffee but I'd even learn how to make yours exactly the way you like it.😊I think it would be a blast too.
Amazing Ed! I really identify with so much of your story! Today is the first time I’ve heard you mention you had an auto detailing business.Another connection with you ! Thank You !!
I worked my ass off my entire 20’s. I turn 30 in a week. All my hard work has resulted in me being in the exact same spot as when I started. Perhaps even worse than when I started. I feel like I’ve treaded water for a decade. I’m so stuck. If anyone has some advice or encouraging stories I’d greatly appreciate it
Step 1: Accept that you can change your circumstances Step 2: Accept that your income is a direct reflection of the value you bring to the marketplace. This means if you are an employee, you are not creating much value. Step 3: Everyone has a unique gift/talent for something. Identify yours and commit to developing several skills that complement your natural talent Step 4: Turn Step 3 in to a business - charge people for your services Step 5: Make sales and marketing part of Step 3 Step 6: Surround yourself (online if need be) with people doing the exact thing (or something very close to it) you are attempting to do. Preferably people who are having success. Step 7: Massive Action. "He Who Dares, Wins." "Fortune Favors The Bold."
@@nitrospice1222 Alex and Leila Hormozi have some truly amazing videos regarding fear of failure, facing challenges, learning, being broke while in your growth process etc. I strongly recommend you plug in to them. There is no woo-woo stuff from them - they give very solid, clear, logical, practical action-steps to succeed.
I went back to gain work experience after realising that my job at that time unable to give me the valuable experience in my area of expertise. Never regret that decision despite i was considered older when i go back to get my experience. People mocking me and look down on me but i know what i needed and wanted, swallowed that pain for 2 years and i left for higher paying job. Fast forward, i am currently working in a role that i have been wanting to do before. Now im 40 😊
