Lion VS Springbok
All looks calm on the horizon as a couple of springboks seem to be enjoying the view from above, but what they’re really looking at, is a lioness killing a young springbok in front of them. There you go…the big cat, finally gets up with its tiny prey trying to wiggle itself out of the feline’s mouth, but to no avail. When a couple of lions try sneaking up on a herd of springboks, a young springbok approaches the kill zone without realizing it, but it’s fast enough to turn around and put on the burners when the big cat runs to try and grab it. These lions are on the prowl, and when one of them sneaks up on a springbok, the lion manages to tackle it like the best of them, and her sisters, including a huge male lion quickly join the hunt and the springbok will quickly be turned into minced meat. Well, it looks like the lion wants the entire carcass for himself, so he picks it up and walks away. I guess it’s good to be the king! A lion knows that it must outrun the plodding gazelle every morning or starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun rises, you'd better be running. Gazelles rely on their speed to dodge predators. In brief bursts, gazelles can sprint up to 60 miles per hour and maintain speeds of 30 to 40 miles per hour. "Pronking" is a bounding leap in which gazelles stiffly spring into the air with all four feet. The lions will succeed at times and fail at others. Although lions are swift, catching up to gazelles is difficult if they are aware of the chase. However, it's a different story if the gazelle walks right into a trap like the one in this video does. Then, it’s “easy peasy”.
Bobcat VS Groundhog
A bobcat attacks a groundhog in a residential backyard, but when the owner of the house approaches the scene, the feline grabs his prey and takes off with it. These small cats, even though they are wild, are easily spooked by humans. The bobcat in this video is quite big, but the groundhog stands his ground when he is attacked by the feline. The groundhog even stands up to look bigger, and it works because the cat lies down and stops attacking as if it has gained a new respect for the brave groundhog. Guess what? The bobcat decides to leave the groundhog alone and walks away. Wow, what an unexpected ending this was, but I must admit that I’m happy for the brave groundhog. On the side of a road, a bobcat attacks and kills an inoffensive groundhog. Groundhogs are feisty, but they are no match for bobcats. Even though these felines are small, they possess a certain “oomph” about them, which allows them to hunt larger prey, such as deer, so you can just imagine how easy it must be for these cats to hunt and kill a groundhog. A bobcat attacks a groundhog in the grass, giving the animal several slaps on the head, as the groundhog slowly retreats before the cat attacks it. Later, however, we see the bobcat and the groundhog next to each other as if they just signed a peace treaty and become friends.
