I can’t even express how grateful I am that I found your videos. Ive been a bartender for 10 years and I drive Uber and both of those things are very physically taxing in their own ways. I live in constant pain, so I decided to see if some simple yoga would help, and I found you! I’ve been doing these stretches every morning and one of your 10 minute stretches before bed for about a week now. My body has never felt this good in my entire adult life. I can’t even express how grateful I am for you and your videos. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to wake up and not be in excruciating pain, it kind of just became a part of my life that I accepted. I’m crying as i write this. Thank you so much for helping me on my journey of healing and growth, I just want to let you know that you are truly helping people. You are my favorite yoga instructor. I enjoy mixing it up sometimes to get some fresh faces but I come back every time and more appreciate the pace of your class. I love how organic and playful you make your movements to help the body relax and open up. It reminds me of some modern dance university classes I have taken. You also don't jump right in; you recognize that the body gets stiff and we need start off gently to move into a deeper stretch. I am so thankful you have made this channel!♥

I love that you give instructions to fluctuate between different poses and then let us “go at our own pace” for a bit. I really dislike having to go up/down or in/out on cue and try to catch up.

Beautiful video! Thank you so very much! I do have one question/suggestion. As a bigger girl with a large abdomen, I cannot figure out how to do child’s pose with my arms beside me. If I try that, I fall forward on to my head. Am I doing something wrong, or should I just keep my arms stretched out like I usually do?

Thank you so much for sharing time with me! Yoga is a practice that allows us to fit poses to our bodies rather than our bodies into these poses. What one may be able to do, one may not. Its the reality of the practice but also such a beautiful way to recognize that this practice is unique to us and something we can truly call “ours”. Your doing absolutely nothing wrong! Its just all about exploring and making certain poses accessible for each individual body. For what you are expressing. If it’s available, i would take the knees as wide as you comfortably can to allow space for your abdomen. You can also place a block under your forehead if the head does not touch the mat (this is a great option also if you have bigger breasts or sensitive breasts. The block will support the head so that there is no strain in the neck while also taking pressure off the breasts. You can also modify for a “supported childs pose using a bolster” (google should pop up some bolster set ups) theres no rules. In this modified bolster pose you can try and see if resting hands beside the feet feels ok. Or Reach the arms forward or if its feeling too intense you can place your hands under your cheek as if you were cradling yourself to sleep (i hope this makes sense) Hands beside the hips generally is just to rest them in a different position if reaching is a bit too intense. But can also just be done where you just rest your cheek on your hands. I hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️

I have been just stretching my arms in front of my head, so I am glad to see that as one of your suggestions. I will try the block under my head to see if that would help me be able to place my hands along my hips. I feel like that would be so much more relaxing. Thank you for answering.
