The zombie sounds around 11:30 were most likely made to copy AW's system where when you bleed out your character becomes a zombie.

The Margwa’s mouth can all be open on Bo3 LAST gen as well as running zombies on round 2 also meaning that some cut content is actually still on bo3 LAST GEN.

I actually thought that the shadow of evil crew were slowly goin to turn to zombies the further you got in the rounds. Especially after having Richthofen take the summoning key then leaving them basically alone. I also remember reading about it on the cod wiki too. That you can also hear them do zombie sounds randomly and them not knowing they are doin it. Also they didn’t say nothing if they heard someone do zombie sounds.

10:50 This was probably going to be used for a cut "Turned" mode, which would explain why in the server browser on PC there is a column for "Gamemode", all of which just say "Classic" normally, as they probably intended on adding multiple gamemodes like bo2.

The cut apothicon servant cocoon easter egg wasn't for the upgrade, it was for a second apothicon servant on multiplayer. There's a reddit post with the full restoration available. It was likely cut due to the visual effects of the weapon possibly leading to crashes and the fact that two ASs would have been far too op.

The shadows of evil max ammo custom icons were a thing for sure, they've all been replaced by The Giant themed icons and have been like that ever since they patched it out. The PS3/360 Version of Black Ops 3 still uses the SOE icons when you play it.

I find it really interesting that most of the cut content is from Shadows and Revelations, looks like they either knew exactly what they wanted for the Giant, DE, GK, and ZnS or there just isn't any info on the cut content from those maps. Also, amazing video, I love these cut content videos so much, its so interesting seeing what ideas they had for zombies early in development versus what we get in the final product.

the zombie voice lines are some rly funny voice acting if you're into that sorta thing, i could imagine some of those grunts (especially from rose) may have been mixed in along with other zombie grunts to form the zombie audio as it is

8:18 they removed it because it was Copyrighted artwork they used. This happens often, someone at Treyarch wasn’t paying attention to what image they snagged off Google.

8:15 Yup I found it. Originally it was in the game but was changed around February - March 2017. Idk the full reason why some people say it was a bug that they never cared to fix other say its becuase it was just a picture off google Edit: Did some more digging and from what I can tell its a bug that happened while fixing another bug with one of the HUD's

The "Robot Gun" sounds like it was probably just used as a place holder name for the weapon the civil protector was gonna use, probably explains the use of the KN-44 mag, i think the pink texture was just a place holder as well, assuming they thought it was too much to give it its own gun so they probably just gave it the KN-44 for that reason.

Always interesting seeing what they decide to can or repurpose vs what winds up making it to final release. Love these videos!

Watching videos about my favorite games that I grew up playing even though I think I know everything about these games especially zombies and dark souls makes me feel like even if it’s just for a few moments I am back where nothing mattered and I’m just happy to be learning about one of my favorite things that has always brought me joy. Life has been a battle recently my friend and I’m grateful for the smallest things that I have even if it’s just a 10 minute video about zombies or a round 20 in a public lobby I feel like a kid and it gives me a short yet relieving break from all the pain and mental issues that I’ve been through. Thanks Krazyrabbit great video. (Kind of venting but clicking on any zombies content after a long night at work just made me want to express my appreciation for the little things, we all grew up with this game haha sometimes it just makes me think) :)

I LOVE BO3 MAN

My favorite fact about this is how some of these original in the game, then was later removed. Like in bloodborne, the doll was able to hum a melody, however was later removed for some reason. You can glitch in the latest patch version, however thats whole separate can of worms. On a more relative note, with the block ops three mod tools, we can (almost easily) recreate some of cut content back in the game.

The Cthulhu max ammo icon might have been / might still be on last gen, I remember it too and I played bo3 on PS3 at first

I’m pretty sure that Margwa fact is the other way round. At launch only one head could be open at once but at some point during the DLC season they changed it so multiple mouths open at the same time.

Those SOE characters making zombie sounds is probably what was supposed to be playing during Beast mode. I'm glad they got removed because... man that would get old fast.

Great video! Here's a couple small things that I remember Gobble gum cost going from 500 to 0 was pretty late into shadows I think? But maybe still counts as cut content Similar to the wave gun color scheme, the KT-4 had an alternate color scheme in one of the zetsubou trailers where it was yellow Factions for BO4 And of course, launch BO2 had lots of ambitious content that never saw the light of day

I think they should of add a few more attachments for the weapons it's a shame that weapons like the RPK and AK74 we can't add our own custom attachments.

I love how the let it ride tokens are just coins from Mario. Im guessing those images were fan made but its still funny

10:55 i think they were going to use those sound files for "zombie blood" power up but they cut it out.

I can vividly remember the original shadows of evil power up icon, since I had to reinstall bo3 and I played zombies before I updated the game like a year ago. The zombies originally used to stun you, kind of like in the Nightmares campaign.

I find it more curious how even closer to zero-time for BOI Resurrection, in the live action trailer, they seem to even use the old Wave Gun colors in the live segments(red and green), and in the gameplay footage they have the current color scheme (red and blue). Of course, the live segments could've been filmed earlier in production, but its still a nice demonstration of older concepts in later development periods.

Some of this content would have been really cool! Imagine killing zombies with bees lol 🐝

That max ammo thing, it isn’t a Mandela affect I remember it, I used to play the classic version of bo3 for the longest time until one day my cousin updated my game and now it’s the clock ⏰ instead of the alien 👽 thing

1:17 Heres my thoughts on what the cut gobblegums couldve done: Firestarter When you run, fire would appear that would follow you burning the zombies with limited uses like 2, 3, 4,.it would burn you too. Melee Master Knife faster with more damage or couldve gave you a instant kill for 2 full rounds Toxic Vindicator Wouldve spawned gas near you that would damage the zombies for 50 seconds with the gas getting weaker and weaker Center of Attention Would've gave you a distraction item 2 activations Brainiac im not sure on what this couldve done. We can theorize though

The Razorback was supposed to be in Der Eisendrache, can be seen in the trailer, but was cut for whatever reason.

With the alternate endings theory I think it has something to do with the glowing lanterns around the map in revelations. I can't prove it but around the time the map came out there were a few shadow man dialogs you could trigger, but I can't find them now. The dr monty ones are still around though so maybe that had something to do with it.

According to a couple a videos and “Reddit” there was a cut perk called 50/50 in black ops 3. However the only known concept art of it was a picture that was released a couple of months before bo3 was released.

If you look up Zetsubou no Shima's concept art the spawn looks very different on art station. I would love to know the original concept for Zetsubou. Also the Ps4 theme for Zetsubou looks different. Maybe Zetsubou could of had a better layout and would of executed the jungle theme better. We do know they had to redo the map because they had to change the systems.

Not sure if you included it in a previous cut content vid or not but ZNS was supposed to have a side EE to get an anywhere but here gobblegum instead of having to bring it in to get the cog. On last gen DE I believe the ragnaroks last way longer than they do on current gen before being depleted

That max ammoa symbol is still ised in the 360 version. The 360 version is like the xbox one/ps4 day o e version with slight changes like how the gobble gum machine is everywhere instead of moving like the box, besides that the 360 is basically day 1 bo3 on Xbox one/ps4.

Yes Rabbit you’re right with Max Ammo did have new animation and they changed around the time Der Eisendrache came they changed to The Giant and kept it like. Just like they changed gobble gum moving spots
