Thank you, Kelli. I just discovered Zentangle and your 15 Minutes of Zen is perfect for someone who finds it impossible to sit and meditate "properly."
I’m so happy you are enjoying it! I seriously can only give myself about 15 minutes at a time for anything! When I learn to meditate “properly” I’ll start making longer videos! 😆
Thank you so much Kellie, I really really enjoyed watching you create this amazing and stunning piece of art work. I really really love ❤️ this one. It stands out far more than the others in colour too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I have been doing it for a long time...lots of practice. I participate in online classes with other artists and mine are never as good as theirs...but, it's still fun!
very pretty and easy to make although mine looks quite different from yours. If I want to color it in, what do you suggest I use? colored pencils? thanks so much
I've tried many kinds of pencil/graphite for shading these... and blending them always makes the entire tile just look gray. how in the world do you do it?? I'm even using a tortillion, and it just spreads the pencil everywhere
Kelli, I have a question. I’ve only taken one class, & have done quite a few on my own. Zentangle is supposed to be abstract…to not look like anything. So wouldn’t this be called Zentangle *Inspired*?
Yes! Individual tangles are not usually called “inspired” because many look like specific things. Zentangle inspired art (ZIA) is when an entire tile is made to look like something specific. I’m not sure if this is the best way to explain it….🤷♀️
I know, and I'm so sorry. I think the newer videos are a little better! I was trying to be "zen" and not loud, but I wasn't close enough to the microphone.
