Not gonna lie, I remember thinking they'd be no problem in Fallout 76 around launch, so I did the Enclave questline solo around level 12 and have fond memories of the cave full of Deathclaws and needing to hop on rocks so they'd run away and not hurt me.
Played vanilla NV today for like 7 hours straight. Had 3 crashes, and 2 frozen quick travel screens. Other then that I love it. I have only played FO4, but heard alot of good stuff with this one and it didn't disappoint. The ability to truly pick you path is amazing.
Same, comes from a guy who played fallout 4 16 times on ps4, 5 times on my first gaming laptop, 2 times on my new pc, then i sold my ps4 and got an xbox series s, started with skyrim, then suddenly saw new vegas on gamepass, played it for 1000 hours, with 11 different characters, then bought all dlcs and played 4 more times, graphics were old and bit of a let down at first, but i couldnt fucking believe what a cool character idea was to be as a courier, a true mmo rpg like feeling, completely anonymous character that you build up reputation with, and the brutality of the fighting system, where when i explode someone in fallout new vegas it feels more dark than fallout4, i never couldve taken fallout 4 brutality seriously cause it felt like a sarcastic game to me not saying it was bad, but anyway right now im playing new vegas with mods on my new 6600xt graphic and it feels like home
Weapon Hweel is one mod I've gotten to using lately, just adding a weapon selection wheel to the game that lets you switch weapons faster on the fly, really adds to the game. glad vids like these exist, thx juicehead
For all its bugs,we got this masterpiece on pretty short timetable. Cool that 10 years later that time constraint got us 10 years of fans and dedicated modders make our favorite game our more favorite game
I’m no fan of member berries, especially with the current state of the fallout franchise, but this game deserves a remake/remastering that includes cut content and more
I always add Wild Wasteland in console. It’s kinda absurd that such functional options like Trigger Discipline or Skilled have to be passed up to get WW
I'm about 200 plugins deep, and the only crashes I've had in the last year have been from a vanilla glitch with custom timescales (I play at 2) that can be fixed before entering DLC areas.
My friend, look up Viva New Vegas. I'm serious. I've played over 50 hours of NV with only 1 crash. And that's with other mods on top of the Viva New Vegas guide. It's so worth a new playthrough just to NOT have to deal with the buggy and crashy bullshizzle.
It can be difficult for the first time, but it's really routine, I am running it right now with around 100 mods plus Fallout 3 loaded in the engine on problematic hardware (This pc was used at some point for hardware mining) and I had literally 1 crash in a year
To compress all of these tips, for anyone in the future. The most important thing to do first, especially on windows 10/11 systems is to use the *4gb patcher*. Johnny Guitar, NVSE, Anti-Stutter, Ect. All were worthless to me, crashes ever 7 minutes. You *Have to* run that 4gb patcher.
This is why I love this channel. Some of these mods are so cool, and I would have otherwise had no idea they even existed if not for watching these showcase videos. Btw, I just checked Hitman's modpage and he's apparently been really busy. There are so many more full weapon animation sets since this video was made. He just released a new set today even.
1:53 is very accurate. I've only completed this game twice. Once on the xbox 360 years ago and Once a couple of weeks ago. once I got this game on PC two years ago I couldn't stop downloading an abundance of mods and making new characters because of it.
You're really missing out on all the weapon animation sets by not using nifs with patched iron sights. All of the animation mods you showed include custom ADS firing animations, but they aren't showing up in your game/footage because they require a particular parent node for the iron sight nodes on the weapon meshes. I think Hitman released a package including patched iron sights for all the base game weapons, but for people like me that have *a lot* of different mods that edit base game weapon meshes, you can also very easily patch your entire meshes folder with Zilav's "Sniff" tool. Sidenote for more advanced users: if you're using a combination of kNVSE animation sets and Asurah's animations (or you're a mod author that wants to offer native compatibility for both options), you can patch weapon nifs to use both Asurah's "SIGHTANIM" parent node and kNVSE's "ISControl" parent node. Add the ISControl parent first, then add the SIGHTANIM node as a parent to the ISControl node (in the end, it should go SIGHTANIM -> ISControl -> SightingNode). Both will work by doing it in this order, so you can swap which animations you're using on the fly without having to re-patch your nifs.
@@IbrahiemLegoFilms there's a mod now that automatically patches iron sights for animations that use ISControl, which all of Hitman's kNVSE animations use (in fact, I think Asurah's animations are the only ones that use SIGHTANIM instead). As long as you have that installed, no, you don't need to do anything else. I can't remember what it's called, but it should be easy to find. Edit: ISControl Enabler by Xilandro. If you're only interested in using kNVSE animations, that's all you need.
just got my first PC and I originally played NV when I was younger and always wanted to play it at its full like potential, and dude it’s literally so much better than I remembered, always loved this game
Thank you I love your mod list. I’m playing with my friends like on a stream on discord cause my friend hasn’t ever played new vegas and doesn’t want to play it but he watch
On the Service rifle, the bolt release lever is typically always on the left side. You can see that it belongs on the left, there’s no button on the left but there is something being smacked on the right 😂 but there’s a right side charging handle, not a rear charging handle like a typical AR
I just recently bought a pc with a not so great graphics card, so im excited to get fallout new Vegas and play it with all these mods that i recently haven't had available.
"If we're heavily modding the game we've done this intro many times, but getting to the end... Not so much." Oof that hurt me personally because I spent a whole night trying to get mods to work 😫
There is one thing to say. Juicehead is not using "Sniff". There is a tutorial on RU-vid made by Hitman I think. It's a program that connect the "Sightnode" of the guns, just by selecting the meshes folder. Follow the tutorial, and after a few minutes, you will understand how it works. This make the recoil more realistic, and not making the gun just going up while shooting, or making the rifles not so unmovable during the recoil animations. It just feels smoother. Check the video
Mike's mod conflicts with the Cyber Affair due to dialogue issues also unless you're ready to absolutely get destroyed in the first few minutes of your new playthrough you're gonna have to use cheats if you kill Joe Cobb in the saloon because the powder ganger hitsquad isn't leveled properly so yeah prepare to eat dynamite from Level 21 powder gangers as a Level 2 or 3 courier or use tgm and cheese that way thanks a lot dude
Never uninstalled it, yes the title requires that comment. I will however mod it for the first time after I finished my current playhtrough so interesting topic.
Recently started a TTW, NC, Frontier pmaythtu. Love it. Funny enough it's the most stable mod experience so far in terms of crashing. I always had problems with fo3 but with ttw idk it just works
Always love the videos Juice! I wish that there were mods that make the atmosphere a little better though (I don't mean enb or texture mods, I mean like just the overall feel of the game)
Like Fallout 3, Fallout NV lets you revise your character completely after the tutorial phase. I keep a save file on Doc's doorstep, and when I want to play a new character I just load that and revise it.
Theoretically, the F4NV project could be patched to VR, I don't think it'd be extremely hard. Most patches I've seen for VR involve record changes to compensate for the differences between versions. Not sure how generating LOD works for VR though, that's probably the biggest obstacle.
@@fairplayer916 VR's a bit foreign to me, but I imagine LOD's still the big hitch, and New Vegas' engine may not even be cut out for that, but it'd be worth checking on Nexus's forums about the topic. I don't even know how well my GTX1660 would handle VR, I suspect I'd want at least 8gb VRAM.
@@jamesmcmackin8773 the lod thing isnt an issue. Look at Vorpex or anything simular. I think the bigger issue would be making hands and guns work right. far as i know, other then vorpex and its compeditors, no ones has tried to make a VR port.
@@fairplayer916 It'd be interesting to look into, it's just too bad I'm obsessed with switching between first and third-person, it makes VR a tough sell for me.
Expect if you use windows 11 because some weird update destroy the pip boy and if you open it the game crashes no matter if you doesn’t have mods , or if you uninstall and install again the game crashes
At this point if you don't have all of the DLC for FNV you're doing yourself a disservice and are seriously limiting yourself on how many mods you can actually download. I mean, the DLC packs themselves go on sale on Steam all the time. Summer sale and holiday sale is probably when they're at their cheapest. No reason to not get them, at this point. Even without mods the stories in each DLC are great.
What I want is a mod that makes it so I can enter casinos without the game crashing every single fuckin time… and one that doesn’t have a risk of causing even more crashes.
