pixel fails in hot climate no one comes close to the processing power that it holds though. i gotta give it that. but it becomes a little hot and it's done. what good is a bread if my n-words can't eat?
@@yourstrulytk12 I'm from Scotland, what is this heat you speak of 😂 in all seriousness what's the issue in the heat? I've heard iPhones suffer from that also.
Just switched from the iPhone to Pixel, and to be honest, I just love taking pictures on the Pixel. As mentioned in the video, it does the "the Pixel magic".
The S23 Ultra being the best overall (based on average of all categories) and close as 2nd in each categories is what amazes me. Imagine what the S24 Ultra can do and it's just a little over a month away.
Now that Video Boost is out on the Pixel 8 Pro, I'm sure the Pixel would have won a lot more video rounds. I just got the phone and got Video Boost a few days ago. It works wonders, especially for Night Sight video!
Finally somebody else said this. The whole comparison is pointless... Cannot tell from that angle if the other lenses are greasy too, but I'd assume so when the main lens is as well.
5:19 it's clean. they must have just touched it before stepping away. you would be able to tell if the Samsung was smudged as opposed to just differently processed
😂😂😂😂😂 It take one month to process and come back to you bro. So if something is trending then you make a video about it now, you will have to wait for weeks for google to process it for you and send it back. But wait, all that is it just to beat the iPhone?
I'm a Google Pixel fan! I love not just the Camera but also the AI for an overall true smart phone! I do agree that Google needs to step it up on video quality. But more people take pictures not videos. 👊🏼 Thanks for the video as always!
When we look at Samsung and iPhone pics..u can see arti facts...and a hallow sharpening...but pixel images don't have such things and are well balanced in terms of sharpening in most cases...
@6:59 Wow, clean your lenses! S23U main lens is absolutely covered in grease. I wouldn't be surprised if the others were as well, the light just doesn't happen to reflect well on them in this angle. This is the most basic thing you can do to improve image quality: take care of your gear.
I'v just moved on from my S10+ to the S23 Ultra. And i am very happy with it. This test showed that it most of the time is second in the line... The 10x zoom is only useful in perfect light conditions. The 200 MP mode gives you the chance to create immensely detail rich pictures, again only in perfect light conditions... I hope that Samsung can and will still improve their camera software over the next months. I think there is still room for that...
Me and my Xiaomi crew watching with respect the Master Brands battling it out but not bothered at all. However one can't stop wondering what the S24 Ultra will do as still among those 3 phones the S23 Ultra does more especially with the S-Pen, Dex Tech and multiview window. I personally don't see myself having a phone that doesn't have an IR Blaster. 😢 Xiaomi has spoilt me. The ability to control all electronic gadgets in my house with my phone is still intriguing here.
I am currently in the process of switching from Huawei P 20 pro to S23 ultra. It is very frustrating that you will have to say goodbye to the IR port available at any time. Air conditioners, televisions, both at home and in hotels and guests, I usually used my phone to interact with devices. I understand you
All three phones are incredible in camera. The differences are really minimal. In the zoom should be more categories from 2x up to 4.9x, s23 ultra win, from 5x to 9.9x the winner should be the pixel 8 pro, and above 10x is Samsung S23 Ultra. In the night shots things are different, because the 10x on the samsung has 4.9 apperture, so it will lose, because pixel and iphone have wider apperture on th 5x telephoto lens.
Differences are not at all minimal. This is simplistic. There are major differences in terms of colors, details, sharpening, texture, bokeh, dynamic range etc. And none of these cameras is exempt from major negatives (limited dynamic range, proportion distortion). To claim that from a zoom of 10x or more the winner is the Samsung S23 Ultra does not make sense, as illustrated not only in this video, but others. While it has a 10x optical zoom, the sensor is very small and low quality, so it requires really good lights to provide decent pictures. Samsung is believed to switch to a 5x zoom only with the S24 Ultra, but with a much better sensor. This tells it all.
If you look most zoomed pics of s23 ultra u can see artifacts and ai artworks...way too sharpening at the edges and way too noise reduction and smoothing out...
*I'm still getting a Pixel 8 Pro in a few days. As a phone overall, I've liked the Google's Pixel series more than Samsung's Galaxy lineup or Apple's iPhones. Every Pixel I've had has felt smoother and more fun to operate than any iPhone or Galaxy I've had also, so I can't not choose Pixel.*
@@smperl0c0 Are you gaming or something? I barely get passed below 45% on a daily; when it intelligently finishes charging to full at 7am til when I get home around 730pm with about 45% battery left. However, I don't really game; I just watch some youtube videos in 2k / read some emails / browse the internet and texting/calls. So I do use it quite often during the day and it's pretty impressive. Google Pixel 8 Pro btw.
@@smperl0c0exactly...heats up , and I don't know why she's lying bout the picture quality of pixel 😅😅😅😅, I had it for three had to return back to Google
you didn't face any network problem. In Bangladesh 200 dollar phone is getting better network than these pixel phones. s23, Iphone also has better network. But after pixel 6 series, it just f*ckin poor.
Also most important point about anything above 4k is is the sensor good enough to take advantage of more pixels? Usually the answer is no in phones we already have way more pixels than details of actual picture in photos, that means more pixels equals just bigger photo, but same quality
Super nice and cool detailed comparison video, It's great to see all the features and specifications of different phones laid out so clearly. You really helped me make up my mind about which phone to buy. Although I was tempted by "C" the iPhone 5 (just kidding!) try fix "C", your review has convinced me to go for the Pixel 8 Pro. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Keep up the excellent work.👍
So 10x overrated? Maybe S24 Ultra they make the 5x super awesome? I have an iPhone 12, want to upgrade but thinking of waiting, thoughts? ATT offered my a FREE S23 or S23 Ultra for $150
Yes, except she messed up in basics. 6:59, S23U main lens is very dirty. This is probably the reason for the weird blue tint and it also makes the image softer. Very careless...
@singirishivaprathap honestly my brother,I like all 3,next year will be doing the same thing till never ending, just pick the one u like doesn't mean others r bad, love you bro
Xiaomi 12t pro king of value. Shitty camera.and audio, some compromise on build but it's very good at what's important. Got it second hand for 300€ and it's basically as fast as any current flagship for 1/5 of their price, and 120w charging is game changer
The perception of bias or lack of authenticity in some RU-vid reviews, particularly those focusing on iPhones, has been a topic of discussion. Some viewers believe that certain RU-vidrs may be receiving compensation or incentives to speak positively about Apple products, potentially influencing their objectivity. In contrast, there's a notable assertion among consumers and a substantial portion of the RU-vid community that the Google Pixel is the superior smartphone. This sentiment is often supported by awards and accolades given by both industry experts and users alike. Google Pixel phones have received recognition for their camera capabilities, user-friendly software, and overall performance. Furthermore, numerous polls and surveys have indicated a preference for the Google Pixel among smartphone users. Approximately 90% of surveyed RU-vidrs, according to some claims, reportedly endorse the Google Pixel as the best phone. This collective sentiment, if accurate, adds weight to the argument that the Pixel is widely regarded as a top-tier device within the tech community. It's essential for consumers to be aware of potential biases in reviews and consider a range of opinions and sources when making decisions about smartphone purchases. Ultimately, individual needs and preferences should guide choices in the rapidly evolving landscape of mobile technology.
it would be much more fair if you give points (3p for 1st, 2p for 2nd, 1p for 3rd). Samsung was sooo good in so many scenarios and really close to win :) I just think it would be more fair ;)
@@invisibleunicorn3337 Believe me, the first thing i do before taking a picture on my s23 ultra is to clean the lenses :D Somehow, when using the phone , my fingers are always over the cameras and they are always dirty, so now its more or less like a habit for me to clean em in the tshirt before actually using them.
What a difference, you can tell right away that this is a truly unbiased camera review of these phones. There are a lot of reviewers on RU-vid that unfortunately their iPhone fandom gets in the way of making realistic and honest camera reviews, always pointing out the iPhone's strengths while minimizing their weaknesses or in some cases pretending that they don't exist. It's clear that if it wasn't for so many video comparisons the Pixel would have taken this comparison. I can't wait for what Google's Video Boost will offer this coming Feature Drop in December.
@smperl0c0 it's not only about the weather. Movement is way more impactful on the quality of the video. For example , filming football game when you stand in the crowd is ideal use of 8k video capability, while moving and filming your kid while playing is where 4k 30/60fps will produce way better video quality.
iphone cinematic mode is fantastic.. incredibly stable and crisp.. I find screenshot off cinematic video coming off better than still photo taken from the main camera!
Cant be the best if you still can't take clear shots with little movement. The moment pets or little kids even move the slightest bit, it's horrible smudged shots
@@smperl0c0except you can. One ui 6.0 has the shutter speed option for action shots. This is just point and shoot which is not taking full capability of the camera.
i think she was fair in her judgement of Pixel 8 Pro during the night selfie video test at 4:43 when you look at the subject, but i noticed that the Pixel 8 Pro has overall much better dynamic range. the only reason it looks like a phone from "10 years ago" is because you can see much more detail in the low light sections such as her jacket and the whole background around which has a side effect of discolouration and noise. the same goes for the daylight selfies. the high contrast and dark subject are the result of amazing overall dynamic range. you can manually increase exposure/brightness on the selfie camera, i'm not sure if it would look quite like the iPhone or Samsung, but i'm sure it would be an improvement. it almost seems like it would be good for Pixel to have quickly accessible exposure "modes" where you can adjust between say a nice night time exposure range with less detail but better colours and noise, and a daytime exposure with slightly brighter subject exposure with the side effect of possibly some blowing out of super bright areas.
Loved this video! This will definitely help tons of people :) PS: You recorded one of the buses i take which was funny but it was even better knowing how my photos / videos would look on these phones at the exact place i would usually take them so another awesome reason to stay subscribed!
As an Apple user, I was expecting the iPhone to win no matter what, because Apple has this way about it.. but I give a lot of credit to the Pixel. The Pixel is known for being a CAMERA phone anyways, so putting it up against the iPhone, i knew it was going to put up a good fight. It’s clear to me the iPhone did best overall though and I’m happy to be an iPhone user.
I face none of that.. Got the pixel 8... No heating so far... Warm every phone gets today coz of the crazy processing... I had the iPhone 14 pro and same thing.. But cameras are better on the pixel than the 14 pro.. You should maybe give it to the service centre once to check for any issues...
I still think the proper way to compare cameras is going for manual settings. If you check videos comparing mirrorless cameras, nobody do it on auto...
In my opinion, the iPhone 15 PRO MAX And Pixel 8 pro are equally the same when it comes to photo, but the galaxy S23 ultra sense it came out sooner than both the iPhone and pixel. I think it still needs some more work on photo quality.
Look at 6:59, her S23U lenses are absolutely covered in grease. Makes this whole comparison mean nothing, jeez... Basic things, you got to take care of your gear if you want the best results.
You make any selfie camera the best 😊 i am switching over to the samsung s24 ultra in January after 10 years of iOS its a big jump but at least samsung try changing things up. I can’t remember the last big thing Apple changed the Dynamic Island and shutter button haven’t proved big changes i think their just fancy wrapping paper.
Taking portraits in 5 times zoom won't be as easy if you aren't a youtuber. You'll have to go way further back and you won't have a tripod to stabilize. So for portraits it must go to samsung
IMHO you get your money's worth based on the feature you want. If you are a zoom user who wants 10x to 100x zoom. Then the S23 Ultra really is the most preferred. As well as the 8K video feature. Also there should be a moon shot comparison also. One of the best features done by Samsung is the Camera Assistant App which allows you to customize a lot. But still it depends on the user.
Great revue Haileigh, your a whizz at these things. You look so much better with your hair off your face and cheeks as happened in some of these pictures. It makes you look even prettier in my opinion. Have a Merry Christmas little buddy.
I’m not sure cinematic video should’ve been its own category. I never use the feature and doubt the average users uses it either. Now that I’ve had this iPhone 15 pro max for more than a month I kinda wish I had bought the Pixel tbh. I’m not happy with the pics I’m getting in some scenarios.
@@fakedazzleful the pics on my iPhone come out alarmingly dark sometimes and other times they’re perfectly adequate. I owned a previous pixel and imperfections aside, the pics were almost always amazing.
I've had my pixel 8 Pro since it dropped and I must say I am really enjoying this phone much better than my Pixel 6 and 7 Thanks for the video keep up the good work I really enjoy your content
you did lots of video tests for the iphone to win, because you don't want to get angry with apple or with apple fans. But with a smartphone, the majority of people mainly take photos. The use of video with a smartphone is anecdotal. if you want to film, you take a dedicated device.
Quero aqui parabenizar por essa incrível avaliação de smartphones tops do mercado, bastante robusto seu teste, levando em consideração aspectos reais do usuário.
iPhone 15 pro max camera over processes the image causing the image to be grainy, dark and also making you look red in skin tone as if you are sick 🤒 which is actually worse compared to iPhone 14 pro/max. I had to return the iPhone 15 pro max because of this particular issue.
Yeah who didn't expect this? You're a good creator Hayles but you're too biased when it comes to these comparisons. You forced the iPhone to win by give 3 points for video. Like why is Cinematic video and pro video separate categories, you may as well have done slow mo and hyperlapse whilse you're at it. Also it video, you completely disregarded the blown highlights in iPhone's video.
As a Pixel 8 Pro user it was pleasing to see it smashed it overall for stills and as I love landscape photography it’s the perfect phone for me 💪Obviously if you want the best video iPhone is the king 👑 I’ve never liked Samsungs colour science but will be interesting to see where they go with the s24 ultra. Great vlog as always Hayls ❤
S23U is the best option for photography enthusiasts though. It offers full manual controls with expert RAW, the best editing capabilities with s-pen on Lightroom for Galaxy and on top of that it's the only phone to finally complete the shutter speed, aperture and ISO triangle with the help of digital ND, mimicking the option to close down aperture (at least in terms of light gathering). If that all wasn't enough, you can take the editing experience to large display in desktop mode with mouse and keyboard. All of them are fine on auto, but manual + RAW is just whole another level.
@@Lynn-zw7drmy 7pro works fine but my 4a also has become a bit buggy after last update it received this month. Every time the data warning flash message shows up from the carrier it hangs there in picture and picture mode and doesn't allow me to do anything. I have the restart it when that happens..
No, it was because she messed up in basics of photography and did not clean the lenses. Look at 6:59, the main lens is absolutely covered in grease. 🤦♂ Would not be surprised if the others were as well, hard to tell from the angle when light doesn't shine on them.
Pixel pictures and videos are very good, but besides these things, other features of Pixel are the best. I've been using pixel for one year and now bought a pixel 8, it will be just like your best friend - amazing feature ❤
