Google still has a ways to go with their Tensor chip. But I'd wager most people who choose the Pixel 8 Pro don't choose it for crazy high CPU/GPU performance. I feel like they choose it more for the OS, features, and price. It's really great value for its price. And not only is it on sale right now, but I believe RU-vid Premium members also get an additional ~$100 off the Pixel 8/Pixel 8 Pro.

Yeah, i bought the P8P at Launch with the Pixel Watch 2 and i love it! Battery gets me through the Day easily. I love the Software and Camera. And for my everyday use and some little bit of Gaming when im waiting at the Doc or something like that, its very much enough!

Hold up, did you say the feel on the 8 Pro is not much different? Everyone has been madly addicted to that "satin" or "silk-like" frosted glass finish on the back compared to the glossy from last year. Weird you didn't mention that.

I use both, iPhone is my personal and that’s what I’ve been used to for 7 years in addition to having all the peripherals. P8P is my work phone as the google services is how my work place functions and communicates so everything is better for that imo, do also love all the features the P8P has. So they’re both great in their own ways, guess it’s just down to personal preference

Pixel a better phone hands down. Titanium is pointless and does not prevent scratches and its not solid titanium it's a paper thin thickness..

FYI - the pixel uses a logarithmic scale for brightness. That's why it deviates so much from the linear one used by many manufacturers.

I have both here, for me there is no alternative to the iPhone 15 Pro max. Unfortunately, the Google Pixel 8 Pro did not convince me. The bad battery alone is out of the question.

Great comparsion. It's a really tough decission got for two and a half years my first pixel (5)and it is still great sadly the battery gone worse and the secuirty Update runs out. Im a Person wo want to keep the phone as long enough. So repair Value and Updates is a high prior. I like the Google OS but sometimes it's really too much with the data that Google claim. Maybe graphene is a Option too.

I’ve got the 15 pro max and I honestly feel just ‘meh’ about it. I’ve only had 2 iPhones the 12 pro max and the 15, so I’m honestly looking to get a pixel at the end of the year!

I have a iPhone 13 mini and Pixel 8. I will actually be selling the Pixel 8. Using the interface there are a bunch of lags/stutters within apps that the iPhone is completely smooth in. Navigating the interface on both phones it is smooth but within apps for the pixel it is a different story.

MY 2023 list : 1. Huawei mate x5 foldable 1 tb simply brilliant it has absolutely everything devoid of nothing 2. My glorious incredible Samsung s23 ultra most fun phone ive ever owned 3. ONE PLUS OPEN good hinge 4. XIAOMI MIX FOLD 3 excellent design 5. PIXEL 8 PRO impressive AI 6. Iphone 15 pro max 1 tb great video and excellent clean implementation of their AI voice accessibility feature The Huawei mate x5 fold is phenomenal. It has micro SD card, every camera is incredible, 3 to 5 day battery, stylus pen works every screen , big front screen, emergency satellite crash etc it's amazing and I'm a big Samsung fan The iphone 15 pro max is my favorite iPhone but it can't compare to any of those androids with its limitations and many of those features like programmable side key and USB C Samsung has had for years

Start from @8:00 put .25X video speed and watch as iphone still has the most buttery smooth and snappy experience of all smartphones. The delay since your finger touches the screen until the app responds and starts to open it's still way less compared to pixel 8 pro (or any android). Scrolling is smoother in the iphone too. The iPhone is still unmatched in smoothness and responsiveness.

app by app difference, some apps respond faster to the touch on Android, another reason why optimizing and developing an app is much more seamless on iOS as tools are much more unified.

I wish android did updates like apple. With very minimal fixes. It’s why iOS runs so dang smooth. They aren’t loading it down with features that’s will require additional updates to tweak those features. I still prefer android, but my 15 pro max runs so smooth android should be worried. I’m using android since it came out, I totally disagree with apple policy and prices. I just bought my first apple product (14plus )before 4 months and I have no complains so far. After I saw the prices on android products are similar to apple prices I choose apple for a change. Also not forget to mention that my wife’s IPhone 6s is still operating nice and smooth even this very moment . So I thought is a matter of durability apple products have since I don’t have an android device old as 6s to compare coz all are broken. I still missing some stuff from android of course but you can’t have everything

I recently got iPhone 15 pro max my last phone was s23 ultra . I miss the ease of android operating system however Apple does have some advantages. 1) it’s way more durable than s23 ultra due to curve screen I believe 2) Face ID is awesome ) 3) battery is way better lasts longer 4) ultra watch my main reason to get iPhone . 5) better security Apple does not cater to government agencies like other companies 6) Samsung is following Apple , if they going to do that might as well buy Apple . They removed all ports got rid of sd card 7) MagSafe is ideal for me for accessories and charging. My second phone is z fold 5 . May trade it for fold 6 or s24 ultra since Samsung is giving discounts for pre order

Funny I had the exact opposite on the battery. The dynamic island and always on display took away from the 13pm battery, that battery lasted two days the 14pm was cooked after 10 hours my s23u last into the next day.

Theres no comparison between the cameras if photography is important. Pixel 8 Pro is way ahead of the iPhone. Android 14 is extremely well polished too and iOS really doesn't compare..i do give the iPhone the nod for build quality. Apple really has build quality down to perfection. The displays are both great and interchangable. Apple definitely gets the nod on video taking capabilities.

Nearly Nobody uses pixels , why would 3rd party app developers optimise their apps for tensor? Snapdragon and apple will stay on top , the only one that can bring some competition to Snapdragon soon is mediatek And for exynos , more people use exynos so one more reason for devepers to prefer exynos than tensor

If Google allowed features like 5G, call screening, and other phone features not available in unofficial stores in countries like the Philippines, I would definitely buy this phone because it's excellent. But it doesn't. It's only great when you're in an official country to fully use the phone's features, so the best options are still Samsung and Apple.

15 Pro Max all the way, had a Pixel 6 Pro last year and it was absolutely trash, lost all faith in Pixels at least until they move away from Exynos modems. Exynos modems had like 18 zero-day vulnerabilities discovered earlier this year, with four of them being remote access. That gimmicky temperature sensor ever get FDA approved btw? 😅

@@s....... Not what I'm seeing, poor battery life and overheating for tasks, the thing is half the people will experience a good phone and the other half will experience a bad phone. I don't want to spend $1000+ for a phone that has a 50% chance of not working great, seems like Google needs to work on their quality control. Tbf, I guess 50% is better than the 70% chance of a crap phone that the Pixel 6 series had.

iPhone OS is made for elderly lazy conservative people,I find it outdated and such a waste of time just doing simple tasks. Android 14 and pixel 8 pro are way ahead in a lot of aspects. Apple fanboys will not agree but who cares

Pixel still has a long way to do. Everytime i see iPhone vs Pixel or Galaxy vs Pixel, you see Google needs to improve scrolling experience. I'm waiting for long term reviews about Pixel, and compare with S24 Ultra. For customers, Google HAVE to bring an amazing Tensor in 2025 with Power efficiency. And they need to change something about visor and scratches 😅.

They just say it is the s23 ultra because it released earlier. It is a great phone, but the 15 pro max beats it in every aspect, except the os which is a matter of personal preference.

The Galaxy takes better photos, have more zoom range, has faster modem, better battery life, S pen, better display, has Dex, and its Android- which alone makes it a waaaaaay better bang for buck than ios. People say S23 ultra is the phone of the year because IT IS the phone of the year. Your dumb phone (iphone) is 40% made by Samsung. They stuck with 48MP main sensor coz otherwise they have to use Samsung's sensor, and they will use Samsung's higher megapixel sensor coz Sony is yet to master one and call it a feature 😂 @@shreyass2447

I was an android user since a long time, I decided to switch to an iPhone 15 pro max 2 months ago. This iOS is just horrible, it’s ruined all the experience , all I want today is to sell it, I feel like I did a big jump 10 years ago in the past with this iOS. Keybord and its dictionnary is always lost, navigation on Instagram is wtf, notification system is the worst notification system i’ve never had, Apple Maps navigation is horrific, close apps one by one ???!!!, wtf l’m shocked how this iPhone’s can be so successfull

Pixel is an experiment to Google it's just another project. If Google were serious they'd use a customized top of the line Qualcomm chip for their Pixel line.
