The design of satellites with high resolution cameras was one of the most groundbreaking developments in recent times. No longer have we had to rely on maps that were drawn based on the observations of explorers, but now, every region of the earth has been photographed in incredible detail, and has allowed us to gain a far greater understanding on the planet we live on. Not only has this allowed us to see natural features like never before, but what were previously secret human ones too. Services like these have uncovered hundreds of sites that we wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise… so, from military bases, to religious compounds and mysterious symbols… let’s take a look at 15 secrets found in Google Maps.

There is also a Patio de los Naranjos in Seville where the amazing Giralda is (I've been there, all the way to the top!). Neither are blurred.
