Mam, is there any age limits mam, for doing this activities. Because I having child in 2.4 years for therapy and 9old boy also both of them having this articulators movement issues.

Hello There is no age limit as oral motor therapy works even in adults.

How old is your child and what area is he having difficulty in? I can tell you specific techniques then

My child is 8 year old but still he don't able to chew....if I try to feed him soild food like dal rice he directly sollow...pls give guideance

To improve chewing in a child, the following things can help 1. To improve sensory awareness, a chewy tube can be used starting with the soft (yellow) and progressing to red and green. These can be given on molars to facilitate chewing. 2. Try to introduce the foods taken in semi solid form in solid form or a food of similar taste for easy adjustment. 3. Games with oral structures to strengthen muscles like blowing bubbles, holding water in mouth as long as possible, spoon hold between teeth and walking, drinking from cup holding between teeth not using hands, etc are useful. 4. Try to give him chewable items like salads, carrot, even chewing gum on both sides of mouth helps.

Thanks for reply ....I have started his speech therapy...in that they told me that mouth muscsles are weak so it take some time ...they also give him messages on face,jaw to make him To improved the movement for chewing...to drink water by glass....how to make child to do all mention excersies if he is not ready to do that...he resist to do that

I also try some mouth excersies infant of the mirror to make him understand how to open the mouth ,move the toung but he don't cooperate...
