Yes, your choices are wise. For me, I read Bible scripture out loud to my son to hear and he will repeat each part out loud following me. We have done this every night for 13 years. It has taught him to carefully listen to the word of God, to be familiar with it, and to easily speak it as if it were natural language to him, and of course, to memorize it. He is now almost 16 years old and when he is ready for bed, he still always calls me to do reading.
I say not to glory or be prideful. It’s already a challenge for me to stay humble. It is still all for the glory of God. Thank you and please keep praising the Lord in your life and through your channel.
I love this video, especially about not comparing your home or your family to others (I too have struggled with this in the past but am getting better), not always entertaining your children, and not doing things by your own strength but inviting God into the everyday moments for help 🙏🏼🙌🏼 thank you for all your videos, very inspiring! 💗
First time watching this video. It's very inspiring. We all need God in our lives. Always ask him to help you, for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Always pray.🙏❤️
Hi there, well, I'm not a woman, nor am I a father, but as a man I want to really thank you very much for sharing this video and for talking about how you spend Sundays and what thoughts you have regarding not working too hard on Sundays and also thanks for sharing your thoughts on protecting children from bad influence though TV or screens in general. Also, I find it very good of you that you don't have a TV that you don't let a TV act as a babysitter. Also, that you don't entertain your kids all the time yourself but let them find out how to entertain themselves, I find that very good. Again, thank you so much for sharing this video! May God bless you very much and may you have a very great rest of the day today, Simon
@@stephanie-algra Please don't give up raising the next generation for Christ and please be encouraged with Galatians 6:9: "And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will also reap IF we don't faint/IF we don't give up" Blessings, Simon
I like these plans. I also don't work on Sabbath but mine is Saturday. I try to not complain or even compare. Social media is hard on us, so I'm making a plan to make my home the way I want it instead of waiting for my dream home. And better garden and chickens. Right in the city 😅
Yes social media has made it so hard for this generation. That's part of the reason why I deleted IG for over a year. It can be a hard space sometimes..
No one has a perfect family, home, job, husband, wife, etc., We are all flawed human beings. Only God is Perfect. I am so thankful that thru Him when get to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him, a d brings Him Glory( if we bend to His will, not ours).
True. You got your own life. Your own marriage to focus on . Your own house to clean. The more yuu online the more you become dissatisfied with your life. Yes bot by your own strength
I agree with EVERYTHING you said! New subscriber here! As a Mama bear I don’t post my children on social media, nor will I allow them to have a cell until the age of 16 and even then it will be a dumb phone. I’m a SAHM and I homeschool. They do not need a phone unless working a high-school job.
Hi!! Subscribed when you said you don't compare your home to others!! So good to remember, be grateful for what we have!! So often people only show one or two perfect rooms of their homes as well. We can't always see the full picture. Being home with my kids means so much more to me than the perfect home. Love all the others as well. We don't watch the news or even have cable, we are very selective about what we watch and read with out kids as well.
Wow!! I'm huge with 80/20!! Love that you mentioned this!! My in-laws brought doninos pizzas last night! We have salad and no soda with it, but the 80/20 rule is so great!! Gives us grace.
@@stephanie-algrayes I love to use real maple syrup or honey at home, but when we go out we let ourselves have a treat on occasion, it's hard not to with kids. ❤
I think the suggestions that you make in this video are very helpful. #1. We should seek God's wisdom and instruction in all that we do. I also firmly agree that we should not try to live up to other people's standards, but aim to please God and tune in to Him so that our focus is where it needs to be. Sometimes we miss things in our own homes/family because we are not tuned in to what God is telling us. I definitely like the comment you made about letting them be creative. I love to cook and sew and I was trying to teach it to my children. I found myself stifling their creativity, but when I started letting them do things on their own, their creativity blossomed. (Obviously with cooking I still had to be a bit more involved for safety sake, but God showed me how to back off and let them explore. It is a blessing to see what He has put in them and is drawing out to His glory. Thank you for this gentle reminder to let Go and let God. 😊
Thank you for your kind comment! You are so right about stifling their creativity sometimes, I have been guilty of that😉 but when you let them be creative, so many beautiful things come out of it🧡 Thanks for being here 😊
Good job, mama! It is very encouraging to see a young mom making Godly decisions for her family and parenting intentionally. Praying God’s continued grace, wisdom, and strength for you as you navigate being the wife and mother your people need - pointing them to Jesus.
I recently came across your channel. I was blown away by your intelligence. For being so young, you are very learned about being a Godly homemaker. I look forward to exploring your channel more.
I am an older homemaker, circa Titus 2 😉. Believe me when I tell you, comparison is the thief of joy. Treasure what the Lord has given *you*, the time, the people, skills He's given you and thank Him for what He's taken away. There's a reason for all of it.
As a mom of adults. I so agree, I never had kids sit in front of the TV, I never did things I know they knew how to do…. It is raising up strong people.
Hi Stephanie! I didn't realize that you live in the Netherlands! May I ask: how do you manage to homeschool the children when it's legally not an option in this country? (We live in NL too, that's why I'm asking😊)
If it wasn’t legal, we wouldn’t do it (or share about it online, haha)😉 It’s definitely legal, but you need to know how and when😊 I’d recommend going to the Facebook group: ‘thuisonderwijs voor geïnteresseerden’ for any questions.
@@VlancingGeniestop being a troll. Scripture says not to esteem one day above another in the New Testament. She is simply advocating for you to have a day of rest.
Dearest Stephanie...I have a message for you, from god... Do not go anywhere for guidance...except to god... Not to Atomic Habits, or any other book...and not even to the bible, but to god...directly. Sometimes he will send you to someone, or to a book...in order to find the answer...and sometimes he will just tell you, directly... Our beloved Abba wants all of his children to come to him first, with all of their questions, their problems, and for guidance...❤
Hey Stephanie :) do you have an email to contact you with personal questions? I dont have any social media. If you don't do that through email, please forgive me for my question! I was just wondering. Kind regards.
Of course! I use a few actually. Mostly NIV for my daily reading and with the kids, because it’s easy to read. I also have an NKJV and an ESV journal Bible that I use a few times a week. And then and Amplified Bible for more context on some verses if I want to.
I do actually read it too. But find it more difficult to understand for day to day reading. So that’s why I usually gravitate towards the NKJV, but I agree that the KJV is the most true to the original text😊
It is so hard finding women who read the KJV. Im trying to find more on here and everyone reads the other versions. Do you have a place to which we can have discussions? If you do that.
if you decide to be a homemaker why? you say you cook , why do you cook and not your husband? I noticed christian women say they are homemaker but they each one is diferent and is not from the Bible is really a waste of time,
I often have trouble from homemakers women don't answer my question, they often say what they want to say, and is not related . @@stephanie-algra I am having the same experience again with your video
