Koopa Troopa - Super mario odyssey again. In snow kingdom, there is a trace-walking minigame. I’m assuming from this that they don’t slip on ice. Bullies - There is a species of bullies in super mario 64 in snowman’s land that I don’t think slips on ice.

Here's a reasonable explanation for enemies on dash blocks: Do you really want an enemy suddenly flying at you at very fast speeds?

Another weird thing when it comes to Clear Pipes: you do not get hit at all if an enemy passes by you while you're travelling through it

When touching the axe, mario doesnt get hurt even though its an axe and mario jumps directly into it

That one with the Ice-physics doesnt count at all. In SMO Cappy just tells you to capture a goomba because they dont slip. So it kind of is a skill of those enemies :3

the fall damage one is kinda for a reason. This is a platformer, where levels aren't usally tall, more long. Plus, in SM64, it has fall damage because it's a 3D space, and if you could fall down, for example, a mountain without being hurt would be too op.

You get the idea. Yet you decided to ask why doesnt mario or anyone else get burnt when they're near the angry sun.

Goombas not sliding on ice makes perfect sense. They don't slide in Mario Odyssey either and you use them specifically because they don't slide.

Mario also can jump something like 5 times his height when small, but only about 3 times his height when larger. He also holds his breath for eternity, dies immediately on touching poison, and manages to get the energy to traverse great distances, running and jumping the whole time, with just a few mushrooms and flowers to sustain him.

When it comes to fall damage: Mario apparently reaches terminal velocity pretty quickly since he doesn't accelerate after a short time in the air. Ants can survive falling from buildings because their terminal velocity is so low and therefore the impact isn't too damaging. Apparently, the air in Mario games is thicker than our air, which would mean he doesn't take damage when landing

How does he not have a concussion? - I'm not 100% certain, but does giving a Thwomp a parachute affect how hard it hits something? A test could be to see how high both types of Thwomp send an item/Mario/enemy on a Seesaw. More of a Myth but interesting nonetheless. - Why does only Bowser have a Cat form? Goombas had one and they aren't in Mario Maker right?

Are Mario's fireballs linked to the camera? Also, Mario's fireballs can jump on the ground. Even underwater and on the snow/ice! WTF? Looks like Mario's fireballs are almost invincible!

Things that don't make sense, you can kill the sun with a shell, Mario punches Yoshi to get him to eat things, Yoshi can make a shell in to fire, or fly from some, Mario can spin jump on spikes or saws (in some games) and survive but a normal jump kills him. Oh and Mario can slide uphill as well.

I think the angry suns are, in the mario canon, separate from the actual sun, they're simply sun-like creatures (like how Pokeys aren't actual cacti, or how piranha plants aren't actual plants (note the bones in dry piranha plant), they're just creatures that evolved to look like cacti/plants)

Mario Odyssey clearly established that Goombas don't slip on ice

Remember in the SM Odyssey Cappy said that Goomba's feet dont slip after you captured the goomba in the Sand Kingdom

I think it’s safe to say that the angry sun is not the actual sun, considering it’s size and how it moves, but an enemy that was named that because of its resemblance to the sun.

It's the fact that the sun is tiny, swooping down to attack him, and that it's not the main source of light, doesn't bother him. The fact that Mario doesn't burn while next to it bothers him.

It would be cool if each 3D world villain with feet would get a short little dash animation with a prompt stop before resuming their normal behaviour. Just to show that there is some sort of interaction even if it's not on the same level as Mario
