As a south korean some of the contents are true and some are not. I'm a normal citizen who was born and raised in Seoul and haven't heard of some concepts he mentioned. It's a shame.. I've enjoyed this channel and now I'm wondering if all those videos i've watched on this channel are real. ..
Kong Lee those channels such as the talko, bright side etc. Give sometimes half explained information or it’s fake and they lie about it. It’s sad because they’re using South Korea for views especially BTS. Or about the plastic surgeries and beauty standards.
Kong Lee which subjects were unfamiliar to you? I’m very curious now! I want to know what is true and what isn’t🙈 Btw I think it’s so cool you are from South Korea! I would love to go there some day!!
Whoever made this video should study before posting something that everyone can watch. The "love motel" is a japanese idea, and the rooms you're showing are japanese !!!! (you can also clearly see that it's written in japanese😑)
There are many wrong information in here. First, with the sweet potato picture in the left, that is a normal potato not a sweet potato. In Korea we don't do the thing in the stick with sweet potatoes. We do fry them, but not in a shape of that. Also, with the honey butter chip. That is potato made not sweet potato. And, you can see honey butter chip every where in korea. It used to be very popular, but not today. Second, with men makeup, not all men wear makeup for daily basis, and they don't use it for job interviews often. And they don't do it for pressure either. It is just the effect from korean boy band groups. (kpop) Third, "yonae" means dating. Not "for love" or something else. And, there is not word "chungmae" in korea, so I really don't get the video. I have no intent in snipping the video, I am just telling the truth as a south korean.
Priya Singh I would say yes? I really dont get about what means developed, but all the info in the video is correct except for the ones that I corrected.
Me before knowing kpop(in class social lesson) : I don't know why I should learn about korea After knowing kpop:"knowing every thing about korea" If you are related like
The funny thing is that it's not even Hangul! That is Katakana. Even the women's photos are Japanese. If you want to make a video please prepare it carefully. Japan and Korea are very different
LOL when did you go to Korea??? honey butter chip was popular a few years ago, the reason South Koreans don't get enough sleep is because of the ridiculous amount of studying they do and also the "love motel" in #2 is in japan as you can see japanese
"Honey Butter Chip" isn't popular at all anymore. It was like, years ago. You should do your research better. P.S. I stopped watching after that as I could see how ridiculous the whole video would be.
Oh you are a korean? Just to say I am from India and I love korea......you must be lucky your a Korean......✌✌India and korea are my fav countries......i have never met a korean before!!Honey butter chips are out of season? Then what is in the season😂..... I am just curious......Goryeo,what does it mean?
I'm a fan of Bright Side but this irks me a bit. It's clear they did not have a native or even a Korean American help edit or put this together. The pronunciations were far off, the clips of the love motels were in Japanese, and about half are more on this list were stereotypes of specific niches in Korea.
wrapped around Min Yoongi's middle finger yeah..i m army too .. but we have to spread positivity .. we r trying to spread army's everywhere.. bts had taken a special place in our heart so when any army hear south korea they became so excited.. so this is normal
Say that to 32 million army’s kyra Kim BTS is one of the best and no.1 kpop groups in South Korea. They won’t three awards on artist of the year straight which gave them popularity They went through many tragedy’s and problems that YOU probably never gone through before just to be who they are now. The sacrifices they made are nothing compared to your question So next time you think about asking about kpop on whatever video, Think TWICE.
Eee! I see Korean people watching this video! Although there were some mistakes in this video, such as the shops closing at 11pm in large malls - that's not true. Plus, we don't call Korea 고려, We call it 한국, or 대한민국 - as mentioned in the other comments. As a South Korean, I can see that more than 50% of the information in this video is... wrong, I guess. And deciding not to get married - now more and more people are choosing not to get married. I hope this video gets edited and reuploaded so that people don't get any more misunderstandings.
you got so many facts wrong and stereotypical. restaurant closing at 9? what? What about the hwishik (company dinners) that last until 5am? Honey butter chips are sold out? haha nope, nobody cares anymore. People are shopping at night? Maybe you ar reffering to Dongdaemun market - no young Koreans don't even shop there much. and many others
I lived in Seoul for several years. This is pretty accurate, with a few exceptions: Intro: Korea has not been referred to locally as 고려 ("Koryo") for over six hundred years. Most locals would refer to it as 한국 ("Hanguk"), or 대한민국 ("Dae Han Min Guk") if speaking formally. #14: The honey butter chip craze was a passing fad that died years ago, and the sweet potato thing is overexaggerated. #13: There are plenty of bars and restaurants that usually stay open way past 11, at least in Seoul and Busan. #6: Couple outfits are a thing, but PDA is actually frowned upon in Korea. Kissing in public will get you nasty looks. #5: Arranged marriages are incredibly rare in modern Korea and usually will only happen if you're in either a chaebol family or a cult.
14. I've tried honey butter chips. It is the best chip I've ever tried. 12. Valentine-White Day culture happens in Japan too. 11. Some South Korean guys have lipbalm and compact powder in their pockets. Sometimes a lipstick too. And I forgot that this is really a Bright Side's video since the pace is surprisingly fast, meme-less, and to the point.
