Hey Aluxers, who's your fashion ICON? Most Expensive Shoes for Women: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j7DzJTMDTPE.html Most Extravagant Fashion Shows: www.alux.com/extravagant-fashion-shows/
If you would have done a better research you would have known that the colour of her Manolo Blahnik's was made especially for her skin tone. Seems like your editors just watched the 73 questions edition about her.
+Sabastian Wintour Not one single pair of her shoes I saw her in matched her skin tone at all.I also find it ridiculous that someone who has never changed her appearance could have ever made it in such a fashion forward existence. She seems like a sad,and lonely woman to me.
She was fired from Harpers Bazaar, she left from Harpers and Queen in London when she was passed over for the position of editor in chief. She then moved to the states and got a job at Hapers Bazaar where she was fired after about 9 months according to most sources for pushing the envelope too far for the 1970's US fashion magazine scene
In my personal opinion, she doesn't. She is a fashion icon and that's why you missed a really important fact about her. She was the inspiration for the film "The devil wears Prada"
Any fan or admirer of Anna must watch The September Issue and The First Monday of May. The first about her work in Vogue and her personal life. The second about her lead in the Met Gala. The woman showed up to work at 4 am after the Met Gala!!!. Her work ethic is outstanding. She's in her late 60's. I know a former designer for Oscar de la Renta. He said she's very professional and respectful in the work environment.
Her daughter even said that she is very punctual, goes to bed at 10 wakes up at 5, stay at the parties for 15 minutes only This woman is nerve of steel, no wonder everyonw in fashion world really respects her.
Anna if you see this please stop using fur. Please Stop promoting fur. If you saw on video how those animals are killed it is a horrific bloodbath. These are beings with hearts and minds. Move on to fake fur or no fur at all. You will gain more respect and possibly more sales. I promise.
I love Anna...so stylish and a great model to follow...love everything she does because such a role model for girls to follow...made her own way thru life to become a fashion icon...just a great article..thank you
The only reason I watched this because I recognized her from watching Tennis and she's always by the player's box. but I never realized that she was a fashion icon. you always learn something new everyday.
She is too old fashion... I just canceled my Vogue magazine after two years of looking into the same old models with the same face and clothes that make no sense but in a runway show. Every other page is trying to sell you a watch, a car, or a perfume. Very little in the Vogue magazine is actually about fashion design, tendency or style. Vogue needs a new editor with a fresher take and who embraces diversity in fashion.
Paula Olliver Who cares! Get a life. Now we have all these leftist, know-it-alls who would dictate what fashion should be, and they don't even know how to wash their own clothes.
Claire McNabb The general fashion industry criteria for presenting the collection of the designer, is about being tall (at least 5'11 and 6') thin and clean facial skin. It has nothing to do with the everyday woman.
Anna has admitted in an interview with James Corden that she has never even met Bob Marley. Unfortunately, it looks like one cannot trust those who say they know something you don't...
I admire anna wintour . However, i do believe vogue has always frequently featured the same type of woman: thin and white. It would be nice if vogue and designers realized that curvy women and women of color enjoy fashion as well.
The script is so poorly written I can’t even finish watching. Seriously, awful. It’s like a junior high kid’s book report that had a word count minimum. Truly, truly awful.
See my parents said that it is a flaw of mine that I always have an opinion on everything and that I would bicker with people whenever I had the chance to. Turns out my life hero loves people who are opinionated and can carry out casual debates 💜
Fashion Icon is an illusionary position, as is "fashion" in general. Nothing seen in vogue is made for everyday living, not even nightlife. I don't think she has a good eye. I think she is self-involved and full of herself in a world that has little to do with real life. People make up their own idea of fashion...fashion on this level is more like an attempt at making an artpiece. To be worn. Not bowed down to.
She recently admitted on The Late Late Show with James Corden, that she has actually in fact, never met Bob Marley...so she put that rumor to bed quickly.
I have seen Madonna drinking recently and smoke marijuana, which is a huge shame. While I have my disagreements with her, I have always respected her immense discipline towards fitness throughout her career.
I really like her, she takes a while to know, never met her but I totally get her lack of patience with idiots and in fashion there are a TON of them. She has faught to get to the top and as an icon cannot readilly be replaced. God Bless Anna Wintour xo
she needs to follow her fashion in the mag she reps. I can’t follow a fashion designer who dose not follow the vogue style it’s like seeing the 1980s. I have seen these don’t let my look go. And angry haters I don’t give a damn about her/him fo
The captions on this video are so badly placed within the frame! It's most notable in the section about shoes, when the caption blocked all of the shots of THE SHOES. Ditto with other sections, but this one was super annoying. Agree with all of the other comments about the script and research.
9:14 this is incorrect. Anna Wintour herself said that she never meet Bob Marley personally. Watch the RU-vid video - spill your guts or fill your guts - with James Corden and Anna Wintour and you will see her telling him that she never actually meet him
I'd noted that she wore the same shoe style with exception of boots. And yes, l love her style of dressing and do hope that one day she'll change her mind about wearing furs. But on the whole, l admire the Scorpio. 😊👠💄💋🕶
She quit school in 1956??? At age 7? Come on what a load of codswallop!! Really? If you mean expelled that's a different matter but i doubt any school would expel a 7yr old due to her skirt length!!!
I thought I would see and hear something new and interesting. NOT. Plus, a lot of redundancy, repeats of the same information back to back. Poor editing and composition.
Who cares about a fashion journalist. Designers? yes. Models? not really. But an editor? Never! Like all journalists she is supposed to report from the sideline, and as an editor you will have to do some managing and deal with the directors, but you are doing something wrong if you start behaving like a celebrity in your own right. You cannot operate as an independent reporter when you are also a player in the field. Bad journalism, but maybe it sells magazines.
I totally agree with one of the last comments about how she dresses isn't the greatest considering she the fashion editor of vogue?. Kinda of old ladyish?
