Hey girl! A lot of these are really good tips, but one thing that is not accurate is you are NOT supposed to eat or DRINK 8 hours before the surgery - I know because I just got mine out yesterday, and I didn't know I wasn't supposed to drink water/tea/any liquids 8 hours before the surgery. My surgeon explained that if you have anything in your stomach and you start to get nauseous / throw up while you're under anesthesia, it could be really dangerous. So DO NOT eat or drink anything 8 hours before surgery y'all!

Hi there! I didn't have an IV but had local anesthesia. It basically felt like they were giving me a shot in my gums. Let me know if you have any other questions and don't worry - I was super nervous as well but it's a very common surgery so don't worry, you'll be fine!! 👍
I’m getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I am extremely scared because I have to get a iv for the first time. Also about what you said about the pain do you think that all Dodgers give the same medication because I have a really low pain tolerance and I think the pain would be too much for me.
You got this!! 🙏 I don't know if all surgeons prescribe the same medication but I have low pain tolerance too. If you experience pain, try distracting yourself with your favorite TV shows, movies, or music to keep your mind off the pain. You could always opt for the stronger medication if you're okay with the nausea side effects.
