@@narwahlssb I need to make some Aussie car friends in that case. I have a Chinese go-kart-like-thing that uses the same (though, Chinese knock-off) 800cc, 3cyl engine AND 4 speed trans they used in the mighty boy. One of the previous owners was cruel to her and the engine is basically scrap; however, since the US doesn't really have any vehicles that use that engine, I'm SOL. I have an H22A out of a prelude I was going to put in it, but I think that's a waste of the motor and would like to one day acquire the one it was designed for. That's probably a hell of an import fee, I dunno, never really bought anything from another country that wasn't a small gadget from a website.

Back in the 80's I was offered a used Comuta Car, (the cheese wedge), for $400.00. It needed a new set of batteries, and when I checked into the cost of replacing them I found out it was basically a golf cart with an all-weather body, and the costs of a new set of barriers was $700.00 to $800.00. With the estimated battery life, and the estimated cost of charging them over their life lifetime, I found the per-mile operating cost of a Comuta car was about the same as a VW beetle. When I realized that, I passed on the Comuta Car. Now you see why it failed.

I absolutely love the design of the Pontiac Stinger. Looks totally rad.
@DocWolph
@DocWolph 5 лет назад
1. The Pontiac Stinger was a concept car built in a time with companies actually made functional concept cars. It is NOT to be confused for a production vehicle. It and several other GM Concepts were used in various TV Shows Like "Seaquest DSV" and movies like "Demolition Man", but those were reproductions or borrowed from GM none were made for sale. 2. The "Cheap door materials" was because the lower glass was deliberately removable. These were honestly expected to NOT make it to production at all. The Doors might not even have lower windows. 3. While GM/Pontiac said they were either seriously considering production of the vehicle, or it was just rumored, The Stinger was never brought to production. Therefor it did not have poor sales to tarnish its or Pontiac's reputation.

@MatthewTyreeKS
@MatthewTyreeKS 5 лет назад
I hate to burst your bubble, but, the Ford Probe was faster than the base 2.3L 4-cylinder Mustang is true, it was most certainly NOT faster than the Mustang 5.0 of that era. I owned a stock 1988 5.0L LX hatch, and could easily beat that front drive wannabe Mustang. And the Ford Probe was only available as a 4-cylinder, front wheel drive car. All the American cars they are showing on this video are concepts only, and never available for sale. I can't speak for the European cars.
