Interesting that you have a gas stove. Conduction is much more efficient and uses the free energy from your solar panels. Also, our ancestors never had a drier. Clothes will dry naturally on a line or clothes rack, saving electricity and money! How much electricity do the smart plugs consume to stay internet-connected? Is it really saving electricity from the electronics that are plugged into it?
Climate Change is making weather events more extreme. India, China, Japan, US, and Australia need to do more to reduce use of fossil fuels. They must stop building and financing more coal fossil fuels power plants. Time to go all in on wind and solar energy and electric vehicles. Fossil fuels are a bad investment for people and the planet. Investors are divesting from fossil fuels. ESG investing is growing.

Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Donate to non profits fighting for a better future. Support and elect climate leaders. An energy efficient home is more comfortable and saves money in the long run. Added insulation, triple glaze windows, energy efficient doors, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, energy efficient appliances, LED lighting, solar panels combined with battery storage and a electric vehicle charger in the garage or car park. People are too focused on the short term costs and miss out on long term savings and comfort. Blower door testing and air sealing are under appreciated tools.Even if you have money to burn you should not waste it. Climate Change will impact everyone.
