I totally agree with you, I put the Pats on my 2601 as well. Something I see on very few 2601s is the factory bucket level indicator. We must be on the same page but I had to modify mine a little. Near the bucket where the indicator rod bolts to the pin bracket I had to drill a hole higher in the flat part of the rod to get the bent section of rod where it should be. Otherwise it was too long. My directions are about as clear as mud but hopefully it makes sense.
How's she goin'? Methods that make it easier to attach implements are well worth every cent they cost. I can remember fighting and wrestling with snowblowers in the freezing cold trying to get the lift arms on the 3 point pins!!! I ended up with a 'Land Pride' style quick hitch. It's very easy to attach the snow blower now!!! LOL I'm sure the Pat's style will work out very well for you!!! Thanks for posting. Very nice video and well edited!! Take care!!!
Thanks for another great video. After contemplating both the Pats and the Land Pride quick hitch I decided to go with the Pats like you did. I haven’t received it yet but I am wondering if I will need to get a pto extension for the tiller.
Hey Ken, thanks for watching and commenting! I also have a tiller, and purchased a PTO extension for it and the chipper, but as it turns out I did not need to install it. I am not saying you won't have to, but I did not find it necessary. Cheers!
Very nice. I definitely see the value in that setup. Any issue with your PTO length? I had th add an PTO extension after I added the harbor freight quick hitch.
Hi Ed, thanks for watching. I did buy an extension for the PTO, but for the chipper I didn’t need it. I will put it on for the tiller though. Have a great weekend!
How you doing my friend?! NEW subscriber here! 👋 Thank you for doing a video on this. I have never seen how a QA setup worked. I don't have a 3pt tractor now, but when I get one . . . it'll all make better sense. I'm looking forward to following along and seeing more footage from your solar farm. My Wife and I are going to be doing solar on our homestead. I don't have any of that content up YET! If you get an opportunity . . . check out our channel. Right now I'm just catching people up to my line of work, but I'd appreciate the support. Have a great week, and stay safe out there! - Samuel
Hi Samuel, Yup, I have subscribed to your channel, you have lots of interesting stuff there! I plan on doing a 7 year review of our solar array this summer some time, but you know how it is... So busy! Welcome aboard and Cheers!
