Lol yes. I was once told I'm one foot in the grave, when in fact my life has never been better. Round them up and send to the ranch. Nail some sense into them.
Steroids is something produced by your kidney for growing muscles and other things like antiinflamatory effects, so yes excess of this will dommage your kidney and heart
It's really just teens reaching the developmental stage of being able to think for themselves, and they are confusing it with knowledge about the world.
@@bloblovlalalulu3422 exactly lol, some kids would say they're 1x yrs old and different from others, doing stoopid things with their young adult friends, but actually just got manipulated. And would tell that they understand what every adults dont.
This is especially prominent in the art community. On Instagram people follow art tip pages and sometimes they'll go over anatomy or stuff that involves gravity or lighting and sometimes people get offended saying "this is wrong it depends on the style" (when it will literally be teaching you volume of shapes and whatnot) or "sexism" because their body isn't shaped like that one example they had... Which is ironic because it's an example and there is someone (and many others) out there shaped like that... Like bruh why follow an art tip page if you don't want the advice...?
And now his 15 year old heart will be working to supply a body too big for it and overwork itself causing health problems he will deny and ignore because he doesn't know any better. He's shortening his life for vanity. But credit to him for being honest and sharing awareness of his actions, unfortunately the area of the brain responsible for decision making and won't be fully developed for another decade.
I really respect that Felix kept in mind the fact that the kid probably has some psychological issues and there's likely a deeper reason for his steroid usage as well as him mentioning his insecurities. I really enjoy this kind of video. If you wanna make more philosophy videos like the few you made before I would love it!
Agree, & when he was listing the reasons for the use, he left out a big reason & that's homosexuality. Don't care if he is or isn't but over exaggerated masculinity in boys & men is sometimes a psychological act where you walk away form a social encounter asking yourself who are they trying to convince they're a 'real man' , us or themselves?
It's very much an illness, just like bulimia or other eating/looks based disorders. Body building can easily be an addiction that goes so far it ends up killing you at a young age. The body simply isn't designed to withstand this punishment. Just listen to Hugh Jackman on why he needed to retire as Wolverine, staying in that shape was destroying his body.
And how true that line is. I'm turning 19 and my views from when I was 15 to now are pretty different, and still changing. This kid really doesn't understand how what he thinks is important is now will change later on.
How can you have a better world view when the world itself is telling you biceps and abbs will get you all the chicks. There is no point in that line😐 drugs or no drugs, the world view doesnt change
It’s honestly justified to feel bad for this kid, it’s the people around him who allows him the eating dissorder megarexia. Being body obsessed at 15 year old, is nothing special, but this case is definetively a dissorder.
Exactly - especially when he said it's like 15 year old girls trying to get really thin, even taking weight loss drugs, they're both so young and consider any side effects or long term damage worth it, because all they can think about is how they look now, not how they'll have to live for the rest of their lives. I really hope it doesn't damage his heart/lungs/kidneys or hormones long-term, because that sounds so hard to live with, especially if you do it to yourself.
Maybe he's a kid, but those 15 years were his whole life. It's easy to have perspective when looking back on life, but it's a lot harder to think about the far future. It's too abstract and distant. What matters for people the most is how they feel in the present
He talks about how he hates how he looks and admits he might never attain “the look” he wants even after all the steroids. It definitely sounds like the mentality of eating disorders
@@larvaecellophane8099 that and he's a kid and no where near finished with puberty. He's trying to look like people in their early to mid 30s and he's no where near there. Which why he's chasing goals he can't really reach without just getting older and that's sad.
I mean from what i've heard there's pretty high amounts of people in bodybuilding and fitness circles who have eating disorders so it wouldn't suprise me if he has one too.. The way he talks about it certainly sounds a bit alarming
I suffer from an ed and yes that sounds like a mentality of someone with an ed. I put my body through hell to lose weight, even though im already slightly underweight, and am aware that this look simply is not attainable, except if you are a naturally thin person, which idk what i am cause i went from slightly overweight due to daily overeating, to slightly underweight due to under eating, or even starving myself at some points. This mentality is horrible and is very hard to overcome. I suffered both mentally and phisically for simply being skinny. It may sound dumb, especially coming from a guy, but this happens.
It all falls under body dysmorphia. It's a pretty serious mental condition and I don't know where tf the parents are in this kids life but he needs help
@@ElbowJefe Pewds himself said he's not an expert of the subject. He's just simply stating his opinion in the situation. Not totally trashing the kid but giving out opinions out of genuine concern
We def need more bruh like Felix because there are much more issues including drug abuse for aesthetics. Love how you bring more people into the real society. Well-rounded channel, thoughtful dude.
"I want to die before 40" is all you need to hear to understand this kid. He's depressed and has no purpose or value in life. He has nothing he holds as a higher good than himself and he feels he himself is lackluster therefore he has no value to care for his actual wellbeing
@@m.zahiruddinmohhar6492 no. Its literally not our education system. Our world is burning down around us, thousands of us are dying every second. Dude is just depressed, he needs therapy or some type of goal lmfao.
the way he says he knows it's bad and wants to die young makes me rlly concerned. there has to be some underlying reason why he's doing all this. bro you need therapy not steroids :(
@Small Giant fitness =/= bodybuilding. And no, you are going to get side effects to your health. There's no way around it. It's like saying that there's a safe way to consume alcohol regularly. There's none.
I'm a recovering alcoholic and what it sounds like the 15 year old is doing is defending his addiction, by saying things like everyone who's concerned is a hater. I used to tell myself that I was funnier when drunk, which is quite common amongst alcoholics and addicts alike. Addiction doesn't care about age and will distort your thoughts regardless, while making you think they're your thoughts.
When I was 16 - 17 I got into body building, and really quick people were talking about steroids. I took the "lesser" route and went with pro-hormones, but those are bad for you as well. I'm 35 now, and I feel like a lot of the issues I currently have are due to prolonged use of pro-hormone cycles. This kid should stop NOW & never look back. Then again, at that age you don't think it'll matter anyway, so nothing we can say will stop him. He'll just be like the rest of us that didn't learn from others' mistakes.
Alcohol in extremely moderate amounts (like a glass of 🍷) is nothing and won't even damage your body. Steroids on the other hand can straight up kill you faster.
It depends entirely on dosage and specifics. Steroids just refer to drugs that mimic your androgens functions (e.g., testosterone). I took steroids when I was 12 on a prescription for some medical reason (I don't entirely remember why, it was a long time ago). Steroids are potentially very dangerous, but it depends on how often you use them, how much you use and for how long. The same is true for alchohol or any other substance for that matter. The difference is alchohol poses the danger of being chemically addictive, in a way that steroids are not.
@@DembaraLemoon When people talk about steroids they’re never talking about medically prescribed ones. Hormones are fine if you’re actually supposed to have them. Unless you’re an alcoholic, your liver can recover if you’re still young and take a break off alcohol. You can’t recover from hormones because they literally alter your body. If you self-medicate hormones or change gender, you WILL die early. You WILL be prone to disease. You cannot reverse it.
@@Alfreder28272 not entirely yet though. And there's the fact that the body isn't fully finished developing untill early 20s. So him taking roids that early has screwed up his body's/mind's development
My friend who's 15 will be 16 in december is 184 centimetres and got more muscle than him He trained for like 6 months and he was fat, hard work pays off
Well, he said the physique he WANTS is unattainable, not necessarily the one he already has. The one he has now is certainly obtainable naturally, but not the one he is going for.
As a 17yo into lifting, I've always kept my standard that steroids will NEVER be an option, and it's because of dudes like him that guys younger than me are goin for that road to darkness. Pewds you handled this better than I thought ngl
Shadowed in a doctors office. Young guy took them for 5 years as a teen and they completely destroyed his kidneys. Definately not worth the short term boost in muscle mass.
It’s common in the industry But you have to understand cycles. Me personally I don’t but I’m already gifted 😅 perks of being a fucking giant with SLIGHTLY high test. Though thankfully not super high because that shit fucks you up.
Man, that quote of "I've always been obsessed with how my body looks and [other people's perception of my body]" is textbook for someone who has anorexia or bulimia. Pewds is 100% correct that this is the male version of *unobtainable* body standards (it's not unobtainable but does take years upon years of consistent hard work and dedication). A low self-esteem seems so easy to get for kids coming up with social media, unfortunately... They look at people who've been working for those bodies for as long as they've been alive, without realizing how much it actually takes to get like that - then those same profiles advertise different substances which "helped them" get to those physiques (they did not.. they're nothing more than ads 95+% of the time). That his parents and the adults around him see no problem with this is really disgusting imo.
Its sad that hes so far into body dysmorphia that early in life. Lifting is so much more satisfying when you do it because you love it not what other people think of you.
It’s especially sad because body dysmorphia affects adolescents and teens more often than adults, and their underdeveloped brains cause them to do harmful things because of it :(
"I'm clearly not the average-minded 15 year old"...dude, literally every teenager thinks they're more mature/"grown up" than other teenagers. You're not. You're a child and your brain and body are nowhere near finished developing. This is 100% going to destroy him and it's really sad.
Felix character development was not something I anticipated, God bless you sir. You have a really good opportunity to help mitigate the psychological damage being inflicted on minors today.
Felix: social media shouldn’t be allowed to anyone under 18, I know I would be out of a job but… Felix, you’ll be fine, you’re forgetting that we’re 19
15, here there are definetely something/someone that influenced this kid from doing gear, most kids don't even think about doing it cause what's the point.
@@skinnyleaf6032 wdym like you disagree or he’s not Okay. Either way people let drugs and their own ego get the best of them. If he’s okay I wish him the best
I honestly feel bad for that kid. I really hope somebody helps him so he can get off that stuff and just love his body and just be healthy. It worries me for real.
@@frostbite3820 I think he has severe body issues, a.k.a muscle dysmorphia, which is a form of BDD. My guy clearly needs to get off the steroids and seek professional help
I feel like orthorexia isn't talked about enough, a lot of gym junkies have it. It never is noticed though coz people think it's "healthy". Sad when body image issues and EDs result to these extremes :(
Honestly for a while when I was depressed I was just going to go to the military and work until I die. I feel like this kid is kind of in the same headspace. Definitely needs someone to calm him down and have him go find a path in life
The outros about subscribing are getting shorter by the day. That clearly shows he isn't even bothered about the sub count and just doing what he enjoys.Good for him man.
It's sad to see a kid doing this to himself, especially at such a young age. Now I'm no saint by any means and have gone through the ringer with my own drug addiction, but I've overcome it and am now 29 years old and lead a pretty successful life coming from where I did. I started using young, and it makes me sad to see kids do exactly what I did because it will ruin their life no matter what drug it is or what their goal is. Drugs ruin lives, there is no if, ands, or buts about it. I hope that kid will get help so he can at least have a shot at living a somewhat normal life and actually develop how he is supposed to.
@@Valmordi thank you, that means a lot to me :) I am very lucky to be able to tell my story, and to still be alive today. Hopefully that kid will have a story of overcoming his addiction to tell as well when he is older.
What I don’t think this kid gets is that he isn’t physically developed. His muscles aren’t developed & his full strength as a man hasn’t even developed. It’s so sad to see that he’s probably comparing himself to grown men when he has, what, maybe two whole growth spurts to go? Where are his parents?
The entire video is just him trying to convince himself that even though he used cheat codes he still earned it. I'm big into lifting, but the reason I have never used roids is because right now I know every muscle I have is a result of what I put in. Coming in 5th place in a race feels better than coming in 1st because you cheated.
@@dvsavocs5290 by using steroids. Steroids help to build muscle faster, shorten recovery time between workout, boost performance. It is considered "cheating" especially in olympics/tournament because it clearly increase your overall performance. He didn’t enter any, but you can see he is taking pride in his body, the body that use steroids, not hardwork.
@@burntgyoza i didn't say how, I said in what. What is he competing in? If it's bodybuilding we all know they are on grams of gear, but why are you saying he is cheating if he is using gear to build a better physique? Where is the competition?
i honestly feel bad for the kid. im 19 and of a comparable size achieved naturally. it sucks that social media are turning into the direction of forcing ideas onto children
9:59 „maybe I’m overexaggerating…“ no you’re not. Boys getting addicted to steroids or overtraining themselves has often something to do with body dysmorphia. It’s also something you can control and be competitive with, while it not being as hard as life. Improvement is easily seen with numbers etc, so u know what you’re doing. As someone recovering from anorexia it’s the exact same thing. Steroids etc might not be as physically dangerous ( don’t know for sure, don’t know much about steroids) but the mental issues are the same.
As someone studying biochemistry in college, I am horrified. He is going to destroy his body starting at that young. His body is absolutely not going to develop right at all.
As someone not studying biochemistry in college, it was already clear to me that this 15 year old doing steroids was impeding on his development. Maybe you should switch courses lol
@@ktotheitothembex Are you being dumb on purpose? His point was that he knows more about the interplay between chemicals in our bodies and he therefore knows more about how steroids impedes these. He knows what's behind it, you just know that scientists say it's bad for you. Sorry for being aggressive but the arrogance in your comment is horrible
I feel so horrible about this kid. He has no idea what he’s putting himself through. I hope he gets what he’s looking for at least… even if it’s for a little bit
Being a 15 year old, and weightlifting daily I would never ever ever ever do steroids. I love lifting because it gives me something to do and if I’m every mad or sad or something I go and hit the gym and afterward I feel good about myself. Tip: don’t do steroids, but you can lift perfectly fine without them and you don’t feel dirty like your hiding something.
He is aware that he won't get any of those muscles like those famous people. But still, getting steroids in such young age is a mistake. Once you're in, never turn back.
Thing is, if he's trying to go for long term gains, it's best to start on PEDs when you reach the end of your genetic potential which is what a lot of people are learning to do now. What he said about having to work even if you're using PEDs is true, but starting your bodybuilding career on them is just setting yourself up for failure in the end, be it the side effects, or the gains. Btw all PEDs are not steroids.
As a dude who started drinking at 15 and doing coke at 17, if you’re definitely positive that you wanna do drugs in your early teens, steroids have to be the most goofiest shit you can do.
"I want to die young ... before 40 honestly." That might be the mots 15 year old thing I've ever heard. This whole video was hard to watch. Poor kid is full lost
this is defs the equivalent to females with body image issues. both are seeking an unattainable aesthetic and harming themselves drastically to try and achieve their goals. eating 7-8 times a day??? super hyperfixated on gaining muscle mass compared to women eating less to remove fat. not to mention "safe foods" low cal or easily puked up food for people wanting to lose weight through an ed and then men with their chicken and rice (and other food i assume but im not part of that culture so idk) theyre both eating disorders lol. also ofc men can have anorexia too and women can want to gain muscle, im not trying to erase that but its not super relative to this video
I mean he just wants to get those gains in somehow, taking it a bit to far tho. I do kind of understand why he's doing this, I'm the same age as him rn but no way I'm going to look like that since I don't use steroids and haven't matured enough. Anyways if you look on the bright side, he is getting pretty strong, don't know if he wants to go to the Olympics or something idk.
I'm a guy who had a form of anorexia for a while...it was related to recreational and prescribed drug use that was messing with my appetite, but it had nothing to do with body image. I solved it by quitting vaping and setting alarms so I don't forget to eat.
I’m 16, and I’m natural. I’ve been working out for maybe a year and just the results I’ve seen in that time makes me feel good and want to keep working harder.
I feel the same way, Just generally overtime I look more and more better and I enjoy putting in the work to gain muscle and other features that comes with it. Even if it takes a while I still currently look amazing and i'm glad that I spent a year doing what I did. Generally makes you feel better yk? Anyway much love from Cali
"I wanted to look good my whole life." - some 15 year old big bruh moment I bet he started thinking this way when his voice got deeper at age 14 or something
I feel like someone so young who’s so obsessed with being big must have some kind of underlying complex. It’s sad that some children feel like they have to live up to unrealistic standards set by adults
I can see where this kid is coming from I fight hard to attain the perfect slim thick hourglass figure you see everywhere switching between diets and feeling sorry. I think it’s societal pressure to be attractive and lack of being told you’re good enough I forgot to add: body dysmorphia
That is a thing with older guys above 40 where TRT or Testosterone Replacement Therapy is not about physical body building but when you get older you lose testosterone production naturally and some test enthanate can help rebalance things.
