@Corb13 Technically Allen Iverson is listed at 6 feet, but most people say he's shorter than that. If Iverson counts, he's my favorite. If Iverson doesn't count, then I'll go with Spud Webb. Just the image of Spud is very nostalgic for me, because those 80s dunk contests were some of the first things I ever watched as a Basketball fan.
Thanks for helping me get back into loving basketball again. Since the Sonics and Kevin Durant got stolen from me and life itself I’m back with a huge collection of jerseys cards rings and giving the Portland trailblazers my backing as a fan. Thanks for helping me get back to loving my favorite game
Man, I can only imagine. I still can't believe we haven't brought the Sonics back. Feels like this thing we've been talking about for decades now. Glad to have you on board!
@@fortynights1513 love so many of there players but I hate the franchise it was literally stolen by liar that just wanted to have his own home team and starbucyfir ever selling them
I just watched the whole video. I am glad someone else noticed that Jokic was performing great to the point of a third MVP and Embiid's behavior won him the award.
@@metalmaster7789 I love how we all universally decided Giannis is done winning awards and chose to forget about him like he wasn't 2nd in league ppg and 1st in rpg giving you a 1stl and 1blk a game on the team with the best record in the NBA
@@jonnyarnett I would honestly forfeit , Larry was an amazing passer , decent ball handler , a good rebounder , decent defender and practically is the best trashtalker ever . It wouldn't even be fair 😭
@@BabayaGuns Bird was an amazing defender, not just a decent one. 14th all time in DREBs per game, 40th in Steals per game. Led the league in Defensive win shares 4 times and was runners up 2 times. Has a career better defensive rating than Kawhi Leonard.
I wanted to thank you for your more frequent upload schedule. Your hard work, integrity, dedication, and commitment to quality content are all deeply respected and appreciated!
"And for that, I'm happy to oblige." - Johnny And I'm happy that you will continue to oblige for as long as you want, brother. You're my favorite NBA RU-vidr on this platform because you actually discuss both the current game and the history. Most NBA RU-vidrs stick with current topics because they are chasing the clicks and while you do discuss current topics, you always seem to bring NBA history into it to give depth to your videos and I love it. As much as I love basketball, football is my favorite sport and I just wish there was someone doing football videos in a similar manner (the closest is UrinatingTree when he does retrospectives on the past but those aren't as frequent). Anyway, congratulations on 150K and you're on your way to 200K!!
Your channel is super underrated. Your channel creates of the best basketball media I've ever seen. I wish you nothing but the best of luck in the future.
@@217ShowOffBoii no.. he is a guy you need ONE OF on every team, but 5 of them is not enough.... for example, one of his massive advantages is the alley oops he throws and dimes to fast cutters... but now he is the "fast cutter" or alley oop catcher... obviously NOT going to fly and so that means we've lost an important part of his game your suggestion is wrong
Hey man congrats on 150k! 🎉 and I honestly agree with you with the most annoying thing now is all those player debates. it annoys me by how a single opinion can cause people to extreme lengths and discrediting absolute legends
Basketball RU-vidrs like you are literally the best, you guys mean so much to people like me who are obsessed with basketball lol, can’t live without your content! 😜
Thank you for this. You are my absolute favourite nba youtuber. Couldn't agree more with what is wrong with nba community. The emotional projection, the nastiness and name calling is just so bad. There us nothing wrong with a healthy debate but with all the bad stuff it's just sad.
Being a bodybuilder, I love that you’re addressing and acknowledging the fact that a LOT of pro athletes, specifically NBA players, use ⚙️. I’m not even against it. I also don’t know if LeBron is “guilty,” but he does/did have some signs of use, especially of peptides and testosterone (I believe TRT is allowed for players that are injured in the NBA I could be wrong about this)
I have a suggestion for the video! Ive always wanted somebody to rank the top 10 most entertaining teams in nba history! (examples like the lob city clips, Showtime, the 00s suns. You can also do teams that displayed great basketball in general)
Congratulations Jonny you deserve it your research editing scripts are all upper echelon but not only that you put aside your bias and present the facts and data in a engaging and thoughtful way as not to bore or confuse us and that’s a great accomplishment
The Maurice Stokes video was amazing...I've been an avid nba fans for 31 years, I almost never get surprised (did not learn that much from last dance for ex, for how dedicated I've been following closely everything) and yet I did not know the details of that amazing, heartwarming story. It should be the script of an oscar nominated movie. I thought it would be this one for your "best work", yet it was not. It's a great indicator of the great quality of your vids. Can't wait to watch again the Mamba one. Much love and respect from France.
CONGRATS!!! Btw, I have already said that but you may be the best youtuber I have ever watched at being objective and supporting your takes based on facts with the least possible amount of controversy for anyone who might disagree. I also love the way you respect any narrative remotely close to reasonable and even the ones beyond unreasonable, you argue against them in the most respectful way! There aren't many who don't let bias control them in their videos and that's why I respect you more than anyone does, even though I may not support the same team with you or admire players you did. But at the end of the day, that's why I like ya, because you don't care about me being different, as long as I support my arguments without insulting anyone.
Welcome aboard!! I'm a big believer in peak Chuck. 92 Olympics with the best players in the world, and Sir Charles was probably the MVP of the Dream Team with how he played. Some folks just don't get it.
@@jonnyarnett Happy to be on board brudda! Outside of Duncan ofc, I’ll take Chuck over any other PF any day of the week! Dude was the size of a guard, yet giving the business to all the PFs and Cs! In the golden era of big men! And yes, Chuck was definitely the MVP in that Dream Team. Everyone on that team said so themselves. And to top it all off, dude is funny as hell! How could anyone not love that guy! Haha!
Oh man, extending the 3 would either make corner threes impossible (have the arc go out of bounds) or have everyone hunting it more than ever as the highest value shot on the court. That would be a lot of fun to watch. The Dame image really, REALLY hurts as a Blazermaniac on July 2, 2023.😢 I’m only like halfway through, but this video is incredible right now.
Congratulations, Jonny!! I am very happy for you and appreciate your content. I learn a lot about NBA history from your videos. Hope you are doing well. Happy Friday and God bless!
Your videos always contain such interesting information! Congrats on 150k! Happy to see your channel doing so well! And you are spot on about NBA fans being toxic. Say anything bad/good about certain players and immediate get blasted and labeled a "LeBronsexual" or "Jordansexual" or whatever.
Congratulations Jonny you deserve it your research editing scripts are all upper echelon but not only that you put aside your bias and present the facts and data in a engaging and thoughtful way as not to bore or confuse us and that’s a great accomplishment can’t wait to see how big this channel gets 🎉
I learned a lot from you with this video and thought we had a ton in common like being laker fans of a certain era and kobe being our all time player, total respect for eras we never even saw and having a partner who's nerdy like us for video games and certain lores
