This video is part 6 in my Learn Blender (with me) series.
In this video, we'll look at a creating an MP4 video file right inside of Blender. In the previous part, part 5, of this series, I used a separate video editor to create the MP4 file. This this I will be using only Blender!
Hopefully, this will get you started making 3d animations!
And of course once you get comfortable with the basics, you can then let your imagination take over and think about making SLIGHTLY more complicated animations using just the cube (checkered or not). With each new small animation project, try to add maybe another motion or maybe try animating the scale or color of the cube. Maybe try moving the camera. With each successful animation, your Blender skills will grow stronger and more confident.
In future videos, I plan to show some of the projects I've worked on as I continue my Blender journey.
You can find all of the parts of this series in my Learn Blender playlist: • Learn Blender

Thank you Matt. It’s so refreshing to find a woodworker explaining the basics of Blender for a novice.

You're welcome. I'm glad you found the videos informative. Could you answer a question for me? Were you able to follow along my videos using your copy of Blender and recreate what I did in the videos? I hope so because that was my intention. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

Yes I was - I'm only up to part 6, but so far so good. I'm using version 3.6.0 on a Mac, not Windows and it seems to work fine. Looking forward to continuing the Blender journey.@@ImaginethenMake

Thanks for your reply. I'm glad to hear that you are finding my videos useful. Blender is an amazing program capable of producing so many different types of projects. I started learning Blender to learn how to quickly draw up a woodworking project idea, especially if the project had moving parts! When I started learning how to use Blender, I already had a project idea that I wanted to draw AND animate. After much learning (all documented in my Blender video series), I was able to create the project idea I was originally thinking about. AND I was able to animate it an see it move.....from ANY angle! The project I'm talking about is the folding table design shown VERY briefly in Part 1 at about 8:40. Take another look if you missed it. Thanks again for your reply and for watching. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me another comment and I'll try to help.
