this is the difference between a guy who has a shop that built a car, and a guy who built his car, the guy literally knows everything and makes the video substantially better. so much respect! best build biology yet
You guys should get a small dB meter to see how loud cars are, cuz the audio in the video is the same for most cars, we cant appreciate loudness so you might as well show us
That's a really great idea, wouldn't cost much for a reasonably accurate meter either. They could keep a record of the like top 3, or even top 10, loudest cars to ever to come to the shop for bragging rights too. They could even do it as a separate mini series where they just test how loud cars are from different distances, from the front and rear, etc and call it scumbag sound off or something.
I know a lot of people say how they leave porn for this fire content but I'm not even kidding when that notification popped up I went for it almost as hard as Hert's hood went for the space station.
So crazy that you guys happen to do a build biology on a car that was made the same year I was born; on my birthday! Glad to kick it off with an episode of my favorite show!
I get everyone not wanting an Ls in a mustang, but in reality it just makes sense. If you want to go fast, and don’t want to be having blocks made for you and throwing crazy money into it an LS makes more sense than any other engine
fun fact if the bolt/washer holding ur shift linkage together on ur honda ever disappears. the cap for ur washer fluid bottle is almost the perfect size to replace it, scavenge another 10 mm bolt from elsewhere and u can limp it home by slidin ur linkage back on, followed by the washer fluid cap after u punch/stab a hole big enough for it to fit then hand tighten the bolt and away u go
Dear Ford, Whether you are broken down on the side of the road and need a tow, or you just wanna be faster at the strip, we have your back! Love, Chevrolet
Crazy build and dude was so knowledgable about every single thing and inch of his car! Kinda felt bad the hoonigan guy would just reply with a generic ‘SIICK’ to most everything lol. Also as an E46 M3 owner I have to love that color, kinda surprised I didn’t recognize it as LSB right away!
Im not the biggest fan of mustangs but damn did this machine blow my mind! Guy was very well spoken which didn't make for a dull moment! Thanks Hoonigan team and editors!
That guy's plate sure reflects a lot comments here. So many assmad LS haters. There are solid reasons why so many people go with them. If you can't see why, I feel sorry for you...
Lehuu Zaher it’s not that we are pissed at all engine swaps it’s that it’s a “Chevy” (gm) engine in a ford car.. they are rivals.. it’s just a passion thing. It has always been a war between ford and Chevy guys for the best car and when you mix rivals it’s just wrong in the minds of those who care..
Truth Lives Here But the thing is, no one is saying you have to do an LS swap, or that that’s the only way to make a Ford fast. If you want to be a purist with YOUR car, by all means, do so. But don’t get all wadded up if you see a guy doing what he wants with HIS car. I used to sweat shit like that with stance kids. Now? I’m like, “Fuck it”. It’s their stupid car, that rides like shit, looks shit, and is dangerous.
Lehuu Zaher I would actually disagree on that no one is saying it’s how you make your ford fast I mean there are tons that will argue engine performance all day, honestly I’m not pissed at anything really it’s just the fact they are rivals and the guy is swapping those particular brands that makes it weird for me. Like if he put a Ferrari engine or something in it it wouldn’t be so bad since they aren’t really rival brands. It’s like putting a Volkswagen in a bmw it’s just like why??
Truth Lives Here but also, why not? Fuck it, ya know? Hot rodding or tuning shouldn’t have limits. If you have the means and the desire to do something, go for it. Like as boring and as many times as it’s been done, I want an LS swapped 350/370z so bad. For awhile, I was trying to convince my brother to stuff a B series Integra GSR engine into his mk2 cabrio. I also really want a GS300 with a built 2JZ, because that’s what should be in there. I like being able to do whatever to a car you want to, but I also dig staying true to a brand and a legacy. I just really dig cars, period.
I love people who find the type of car they drove in high school and live the dreams we all had when we were younger, doing everything to your car you dreamed of doing in high school, and getting it to live up to the potential you always knew it had, and creating a your car the way YOU always wanted it. It Inspires me when people show us that it doesn't have to be a dream...
This is the future. Just make the car fast and have fun. We dont get paid to rep the car brand. so i say do what makes you happy. Merc with a Rotary!!!
was thinking on how cool the guy made it look, while stock as possible. then when video starts turned out was the point. in my opinion it somehow makes it extra cool.
I really enjoy the fact the The Hoons are willing to delve into ALL cars (Domestic & Import)...even if it's something that they aren't very familiar with, they ask lots of questions & make sure we all learn something Bravo hoons
Nice build and people hate it,like it got 2 turbo ,supercharge with boost bottle and is street legal. Like LS is one of the best air consumption engine in the world. Best drag engine are the one that breath air in by gallon not liters. These why k20,4g6 and LS are so common swap in drag racing. More air+more fuel =more HP per cylinder.
That's one of the cleanest home built, well used drag cars! Also, he's one of the best communicators talking about his car y'all have had on the channel. I'm not much for drag racing, but I'd watch him.
Car guy: I got the chassis and suspension dialed in, and my favorite part is the computer that runs the engine and keeps it from blowing up. Thanks to lots of work on all the details, the car runs fast and doesn't break. RU-vid comments: waah a Ford with an LS.
Just comming from a boostedboii video, where everything is done and build just to survive the day to this, where something is build to last a nuke, and still go fast as f... Both worlds so close together but yet so far away :P
Watching this build biology just gave me another level of appreciation of Koegniseggs. This guy comes in with a mustang pulling 1200hp BUT, he needs a Chevy engine(just add to throw that in), huge wet sump oil pan and an ICE BOX.
same to me, i got tasered but kept walking and asked the officer whether his accupack was low on boost or What, then gave a friendly tip to go to RDBLA and get a upgraded accupack lol.i am 6.7 feet and enjoying life still
BMW color, Chevy engine, but I like. I'm more of an import guy but I like all cars but there's just something sacrilegious about a LS motor in a Stang.
I agree, I'm a die hard Chevy and mopar guy but have always loved Ford muscle too. When they don't have that signature Ford sound though I'm not really impressed regardless of power. The sound of a big block Ford with high compression and a monster cam is one of the best sounding motors ever imo besides a true hemi and a built 427 side oiler might even edge out the hemi for me as #1.
Dope to see the roll cage steep below the car itself. Really differs from the classic drift cars we see on yard party. Gives me a dukes of hazard vibe👌🏻🤠
Holy sh!t the melted rubber all over the rear bumper is f’ing epic! Haha never seen that on a car before. Also how dope is it that his wife is just as into cars as he is, very cool!
That was great. I'm not a big fan of drag racing, but hearing about all of what goes into a drag car is fascinating. I'm especially interested in the use of ice. That's crazy.
That is a beautiful build, it would be cool to see a well sorted car like that be Coyote powered but the LSx was probably cheaper and definitely easier to package in that bay. I wish LS swaps weren't so common but that engine has made its mark in history for sure.
