I realize the winner was kind of obvious this round of this vs that ( unless someone made a mistake) , but damn it was cool to see these beautiful machines. I imagine its a bit harder over seas to find them.
@@LeapFrog_Radio it's just who they happen to get now, they got sponsor obligations to get the content out, effectively the views ain't paying for shit with this amount of crew with these views.
That would just be unfair to whoever he's up against. Cleeter is a beast. I swear if he could get his hands on a rocket he would build a launch pad in the freedom factory.
They'd have to go to Florida for it with his schedule. And Cleetus won't do any no prep till the Dale truck is done. They tried with the Blazer and it was meh.
@@exothermal.sprocket The Snot Rocket is an amazing bit of kit. He’s now sold the chassis and is building a new car. The difference between low 6’s and 5’s is huge though, especially when done with a very restrictive rule set vs a very open rule book.
Cracks me up how many people are complaining about this episode. No one complains when their pro mod import lines up against a small tire x275 car at import vs domestic .. all of a sudden thats acceptable but as soon as its promod vs promod all of a sudden its unfair 😂
That Camaro was absolutely insane to watch. I've never seen anything other than funny cars move through the air with that kind of authority behind it. I wonder what kind of G forces the driver experiences on those launches, because it really surprised me how instantly that thing just _hooked_ and *_booked_* it. @Hoonigan: This was a great episode to watch, so thank you Hoonigan for this, just try to ignore/forgive the people that keep whining about the fairness of the matchups. @TheWhiners: Guys, they run this series to allow people to bring out their cool cars and show them doing cool car things. They can only work with the people that choose to apply and that are available on the days/times that these are being filmed. For an event like this, with those kinds of limitations, you're never going to get a series where 100% of the races are super duper close and perfect when there are factors that can't be accounted for like driver skill/knowledge, and when only working with people that applied and were available during the day(s) of this event. You guys think they had TWO ProMod cars/driver submissions? No, I am willing to bet these were the two highest HP cars that wanted to come out and so they paired them up because these against anything else would've been far less competitive than this was.
wow good to see andy again. I had a tour of his workshop in the late 90s when his son was knee high to a grasshopper. It was obvious then that drag racing was in his blood. Nice to hear hes the crew chief for his dads car now.
@@170turbo Bro has 3 different types of bottles, and none of it is NOS. Running 5's with enough fire suppression to put out fires on the way home hahaha
pretty sure half ur country isnt even up to 1800s technology or standards or living... idk what u can be proud about when half the country lives in a house made of mud
Absolutely brilliant, but only ever gonna be one winner. Between Andy & Luke Robinson, they’ve probably forgotten more than most people know about Pro Mod racing. Be sure to go and speak to the guys when their at the track, really nice people 💪👍
Of all the things I would have never guessed years ago that hoonigan would just become a heads up drag racing channel. It's decent content but more variety for the love of all that holy!
Why did you not at least ask 'want another hit'? Would have been really cool to see the Mazda have another shot at a launch, he clearly isnt used to prep an bogged badly etc. Not saying he could run a 5, just be great to see a clean run
That Camaro is so well made, like a precise clock. The other one is also incredible. At some point it's not only the hp that tells the difference but grip, transmission and so on. At equal power, that Camaro would still be almost impossible to beat.
@@kisse1987yeah I definitely get what you’re saying, but like I say, I think that was the idea behind it. But as mentioned, finding cars that are willing, available, different and yet same in terms of performance is difficult. Either way it was a great episode I think.
I can see Hoonigan is trying to recover after losing most of it's hosts. So far it's not looking bad. I liked the video shot in Japan with Albo and now this one in the UK. Keep it up.
Interesting how much it takes a 4-wheeled vehicle to register the exact same time as a turbo 1L superbike set up for drag (running street tire, no wheelie bar, turbo, no NOS, no crazy fuel mixes).
Real sportsmanship there. No weak haggling from being ahead. Just straight up racing and a hand shake and compliments (as are deserved) after the fact. Camaro won fairly and everyone is in objective agreement. Drama is for your mama!
That’s true, you can make those figures almost easily with a big cheque book, however the limiting factor in this setup is the rule book, and the MSA Promod championship that Andy races in limits over drive on the blower. If he could fit a screw blower over drive it to the moon the numbers would be insane.
🤯You know, it's 1 thing when you're watching from the couch these INSANE multi-thousand HP cars, but then seeing this with a little more context with guys reactions that you kinda get to know over the years. Then seeing a 8 second run look slow compared to the beast next to it.... Thank you for this. Breathless.
@villbuzeep2043 last time they was at the drag strip though they said it was a no prep surface? I miss the old hoonigan when it was way more than just this vs that bullshit.
Stupid matchup, do they want to make anyone believe that the 4 banger, as rad as it may be, would do a 5 second run? They even mention it at the end. Come on, you could do so much better.
