1500HP Street Legal "SuperKart" is SCARY FAST! (WRECKED Audi R8 Brought Back to Life) Check out Scrap Life Garage channel here: / @scraplifegarage TRC Race Event Schedule: TX2K22 - March 16th - 20th - Houston Raceway Park
i love this so much you guys should keep the interior as it is, obviously it’s your car and i can’t tell u what to do but i really love the “full interior “ inside most go kart builds take the interior out and this is really unique man
Mad respect. Gives me the urge to do this with my Subaru FXT wagon. Minus the V10 TT... out of my budget FOR SURE . :] But I do have the ej25 pulled... hmm, either way... awesome car!
Unreal!! Congratulations and thank you for bringing back this car to life. This something you literally would expect out of a wild video game lol The 5.2 TT V10 is like ever lasting music to anybody’s ears easily top 10 best sounding engines of all time.
The American definition of "street legal" is so broad, I'm left wondering wether it's even possible for a vehicle to be illegal on the road in the USA... 😅
Just look at California. I got about 8 fixit tickets awhile back on my Evo and threatened to go to a state inspector if I get pulled over again. I was going the speed limit and got pulled over for a 'modified sounding exhaust' and the CHP did a near full inspection on my car on the side of the road.
I met the owner, looked at the car and was on track with it in my 911 Turbo at Pocono. Super cool guy and wicked car in person. I can’t wait to see what it does turned all the way up.
@@scraplifegarage since you don’t have any hood the fire wall is dragging the car a lot lol wing wouldn’t make you lose a thing on what you’re already losing
At the speeds this car sees in roll racing, more drag would start to become noticeable up there. We have a plan for some front end parts to help with the firewall.
Would love to see them swap in a DCT (S-Tronic) from the 2015+ model. Probably ridiculously expensive but just an immediate upgrade IMO. Sweet ride for sure!
I build motorcycles. And when I build fenders I do it one of two ways depending on the style. I use either industrial trailer fenders or spun steel hoops. I cut the centers out of them and either ad or subtract metal to match the exact width of the tire. Those fenders look like they were made with spun steal hoops. That's why the top is rounded. In the pictures when they were in raw metal you can see the seem running down the center. So they were made the same way I do them. So if you have a good fabricator and sheet metal guy you are never limited to the widths they have in the bike catalogues. You can modify them and make them as wide as you want.
I bet when you get to power levels like this its REALLY easy to have an "accident". I've had a Vette with about half the power this car makes for a few years now and I've had several close calls. If it had TWICE the power, pretty much guarantee I woulda wadded it up by now.
Example of someone with the money to buy the car but unable to buy the skillz required to drive it!! Get ready with the New Tesla plaid, (SUPER FAST) they will be bouncing off everything!!
@@theglitch99 cant wait until all the salvage rebuild guys get their hands on some wrecked Tesla Plaids! I give it 6 months until there are some notable ones/rich rebuilds gets one
Kent narrows bridge!!!....my home town of Kent Island. That bridge has had some of the best meets ever and some of the most insane cars. A friend of mine John Klohk has brought alot of them there aswell
Also, the fact that it’s still running and driving just like it should is a testament to the build quality of both Audi and KC and the team at Underground 👍🏻👍🏻
@@scraplifegarage would you be interested in buying a clean, but gutted interior BMW E61 shell w/ the ZF 6HP21 trans & AWD system still installed? I am not considering selling it right now, but I am just wondering if building a wild newer-type German wagon would even be something that would get yall hyped. My best friend got the car after he bought a super rare factory manual E61 535xi & wanted to interior swap it. The OG owner blew the motor & after struggling to sell it whole he just parted out the mods & sold the car to my homie with every engine component that isnt the harness or the actual motor removed.
I might have worded that weirdly, but it has all of the chassis modules & wiring still. So there shouldnt be any annoying "holy fuck this dude on eBay wants $2k for the sunroof motor controller!?!?" type situations & it really is a good start to a 100% unique build. I either want to see it go to someone who is stoooked on building it & I know will do it, or I want to keep it garaged until I settle into my new job & can LS swap it.
You could get CCBs on any first gen R8. In fact, they are optional on the GT as well. They were only standard equipment in the plus and competition models. What’s interesting is my gt with all panels fully intact weighs less than 3300lbs.
Love it, but I would definitely cover those doors with anything before a rock shoots into the cabin. Trust...had a rock hit my door from the side, looked like someone was shooting at me..
Is it possible to put a 02 Acura rsx base model vtech engine in the rear of any body frame to build my own car similar to this build but not out body.?.
I'm guna go saw zaw my moms Maxima right now. Its the same only different. Im sure yall will see me on TRC when its done, or on the news when my mom kills me for doing it.
@@scraplifegarage are you running a different ecu that doesn’t allow the stock launch control to work? Rtronic r8s have launch control most people just don’t know because it’s not a single button you have to do the steps I mentioned
Seeing how upset the car gets when he let's off the throttle makes me so worried for him... Especially if they take more weight out. Please don't neglect to tune your suspension and get bigger brakes.
That’s the R tronic for ya. It’s essentially a sequentially shifter manual. Exactly same trans as the gated manual cars. This one just does it for you. It’s far from quick. One of the downfalls of the car.
