150697 Eagles v Perth. 1997 saw the short lived version of the World Club Challenge as a tournament involving all the Super League teams against Australian opposition. The Eagles were in Europe Pool B along with Paris against Hunter Mariners and Perth Reds. They played the Australian teams home and away, winning only one of the four games - a memorable comeback against Perth Reds to win 26-22.
