That high note always gets me emotionally. All of them were great. Kyuhyun and Changmin managed to bring tears to my eyes, just as Jaejoong and Micky's past performance did.
I know Kyuhyun is a great vocalist but I’m still beyond impressed with his powerful performance. I agree that resonance is just wow! Kudos as well to Chen and esp Changmin. All three were great.
Honestly if anyone is going to perform this other than DB5K than Kyuhyun and Chen were a good choice. Kyuhyun is SM's (and probably) kpop's best male vocalist and Chen is also amazing.
I have watched this video some 1000 times over the last three years, crying over Kyu's vocals. It's today, in 2020 that I realised Changmin's shirt is open. @_@
Thank you so much to Chen and Kyu, this made me so happy like all five of the boys are back together to sing. This trio made their own magic onstage with the song and that’s more than I can ask for
I liked this better than the original. The original was more dramatic but was exhausting... while this one is more effortless but still a strong performance, even Changmin was better here compared to the original.
i think Kyu 's voice is more calm , stable, powerful and touching whereas changmin is also powerful and strong but is not stable and somehow the screaming is a bit noisy ...
looks like you did not watch Changmin's performance of Don't Don where he completely annihilated both Super Junior and TRAX, on his own, otherwise you would not have made this comment. Also Kyuhyun and Changmin have very different sounding voices to begin with but when it comes to high pitched notes I am pretty sure even a technically better vocalist like Kyuhyun can not compete with him.
@Ayesha Subhani lol looks like u didn't watch or listen to this video u r commenting on. just listen to 4:23 when they are both singing. u can barely hear changmin even tho he looks like he's clearly screaming his lungs out. can u honestly say that his voice didn't sound like some tinny feedback underneath kyuhyun's full resonant high note?
Same with me.. Kyuhyun n chen sing very3 well,, but the 5 touch me emotionally..since the first time i listen to this song until now....when they were still together :'(
Kyuhyun is probably my favourite voice ever, but nothing compares to db5k's performance of this song at Tokyo Dome. This performance wasn't bad, but it just felt... emptier? Emotionally. No doubt they are all great vocalists, just that the connection between them didn't feel like it was there.
Did Changmin write this? I read it somewhere. I know nothing about the mechanics of songs/music! I don't need 5 to conclude that this is the finest to give this song depth & beauty! It's always needed Changmin's highest range. Kyuhyun brought strong low even opera voice. Chen kind of defies description. My best reference for him is on the masked singer! Stunning. The 3 made the song feel emotional esp. with the harmonies! Changmin was definitely the anchor. *I love TVXQ C/Y. They are who I follow most. But* the 2 of them only, doesn't take this song there. It is beautiful! ❤💙❣
They are both great singers but Kyuhyun's voice is distinct... people could easily identify his voice even if he wasn't shown on the screen and even if he was singing other artists songs 🙂
This song is a really dear song to me. It feels weird to see Kyuhyun and Chen sing it, especially when they do not understand nor speak Japanese. You can feel the emotions coming from Changmin. Not because it's his song, it is also because he knows the language to really understand the words sung from his mouth and what those words implied. Kyuhyun and Chen have really lovely voices, but because it is truly one of my most favourite songs of all time, I can't help but feel like it wasn't enough. The emotions just didn't deliver like the lyrics indicated when those two sung it. It's one thing to sing really well, but another is to really convey it with particular ways to effectively deliver emotions coming from the lyrics. Changmin absolutely conveyed it very intensely. He completely understood the lyrical piece of this masterpiece.
But Kyuhyun speaks japanese since a long time ago and he can understand japanese pretty well too !! I think you don't know Kyuhyun if you doesn't know that he can speak pretty well that language and maybe you say that because Kyuhyun sing effortless almost all the time
aquí les faltó Jonhyun para ser perfectos!!.... ...Jonghyun here and the four most perfect voices in kpop ever would have been united... it can't happen now
Because Changmin's technique isn't as strong as the other 2. His voice gets strained, he needs to force out highnotes and the other two's resonance drowns out his voice. It's even clear in their posture and face/veins scrunching. You like the emotions of the original better. But this one is sung with better vocal ability. Even Changmin is doing better now than he did before.
If you talking about vocal techniques, actually these three did it better than the original. But if you are talking about emotions or preference, then yes, you might like the original better. Sometimes people might mistake straining with better vocals. Even Changmin here is better than in the original. His vocal i mean
@@boi8412 Haha Ok thanks for let me know . This was years ago whatever this is so rude to call him as a weakling, Ofcourse Kyuhyun is the best without doubt but Chen sang well too. Techniquely he is even upper in ranking than Changmin. Im not a vocal expert so I dont know who is the best or not. Actually I dont care who is the best at all I love all 3.Actually I got to know these legends after getting to know about Chen .And Im so happy because Chen was given the chance to perform with 2 legends and he is fan of both of them.Even both of them acknowledged him as a good vocalist . Anyway why do people want to rank vocalists other than enjoying the music .
Nope...just nope Better Tohoshinki re-arranged version. Didn't get the feeling here. It's like I'm longing to hear JYJ voice when I saw this version. Kyu & Chen are good singer but can't give the right feeling with this song😔 Yunho and Changmin version definitely better.
I love DBSK and they’ll always be my first love. this was a beautiful performance too. Of course nothing is ever going to replace the original DB5K but Changmin with Yunho alone would not be able to perform this song as well. Just my honest opinion. Yunho is my first bias but I don’t think he’d be vocally capable to pull off this song with Changmin alone. This is a challenging song and Chen and Kyuhyun are wonderful singers in their own.
I prefer this. The original was pitchy and they looked too exhausted because they weren't comfortable with it. This is vocally much more satisfying, even Changmin sang better here than before, although he's still forcing it. They picked Kyuhyun and Chen because they can actually hit & sustain these notes well, with impressive resonance.
