Ah, ha - much kudos to you, Andrew, for even thinking you'd "give it a whirl with Ciara". Looks like "she" gave you a bit of a whirl ! But if anyone can repair, or get repaired, the tear damage it's you. Amazing to watch how easily high winds can rip a tent from its moorings. Lessons for us all. Glad to see you live to fight another day ! Take good care and cheers.

I got a tent like this one, but it's for two persons. The tent that I got you can leave the sticks together and also you don't have to take the outside tent off. It's easy to set up and to brake down.

You should have placed inside the store, in each corner a large stone or rock and if not weight, look for a place that offers some shelter to the wind, and then try to assemble it with the rods, with such a wind you must do that and with any brand of tent, the reinforcements do not work, it is a good tent, congratulations on your purchase. Ha ha we did the same in the breacons on sat night found a nice spot in some safe trees! Wasnt to windy would rate it third windest day in the hills. That 4 season tent is a bit snug for my liking😂 i took my berghaus grampian overkill for one but its bomber!

I think you made the correct call Andrew.. The Ferrino looks to be a cracking wee 1 p tent . same structure as my Asta gear Crescent 2 P. Hoping to get back to the UK and do a few wild camps late spring.. Great content as always.. ATB .

Debiste colocar en el interior de la tienda, en cada esquina una piedra o roca grande y sino peso, buscar un lugar que ofresca algun refugio al viento, y luego intentar armarla con las varillas, con semejante viento debes hacer eso y con cualquier marca de carpa, los refuerzos no hacen magia, es una buena carpa, felicitaciones por tu adquisición . Hi, i am sorry about your tent failure... As an old Ferrino Kalahari tent owner i have not also the best memories... It is way to expensive for the quality. This tent never kept me dry, always the floor was wet, Leaks from the zippers, not stable on the wind, even not alouminioum poles. My friends 80$ China tent from Aliexpress was better on rain and wind. After this tent i am using the MSR Elixir.. and i am more than happy... there is no comparsion between Ferrino and MSR quality.

What pegs do you recommend using for the lanshan in higher winds? Or did you just use the supplied pegs that come with it?

Feel your pain Andrew. I had a brand new tent destroyed by Hurricane Bawbag. Yet to do a feature on it. To be fair, hadn't paid much attention to forecast. I mean, in the Ochils, how bad can it get!? At least your poles are sound, should be just a heavy duty sewing job. My poles were unrecognisable and the flysheet and zip wrecked in the madness. At least we can look back and laugh at ourselves😂

I've camped in a storm on a hill (An Teallach), hardly slept all night - fell asleep through sheer exhaustion. Not an enjoyable experience.

It seems Ferrino Solo - good tent. But in windy conditions setup its terrible. Pockets for poles at inner tent are not best decision. It makes tent setup more complicate.

That tent looks awful, I'd be gutted if I'd spent more than £80 on that. It may have been ok if the inner had been pitched first and all 4 corner points had been attached. I set up my F10 MTN 2 in weather like that last week. Glad you managed to find it, lucky you were not too high up.
