Why do I go camping on the side of a mountain? This wild camping trip at Loch Lomond pretty much answers the question! Camping near the summit of this wee mountain in Scotland was amazing and the sunset, sunrise and starry skies (as well as a wee camp fire) were superb...

I really appreciate you doing a video on Cruach Tairbert. My dog was diagnosed with cancer last June and passed away at the end of September. This was one of the hills that we did together after his diagnosis, my vet ok'd me taking him on some final hills as long as they weren't too much for him. He had a great day and was running around like a puppy again. So this will always be a special hill to me. His last munro was Carn Dearg at Corrour. Thanks for sharing Murray I really appreciate it.

I would love too! Myself and my husband are just starting out walking, we climbed the Pap of Glencoe in November. I was so chuffed with myself as I have a fear of heights and it's the first mountain I've ever climbed. Absolutely love these videos, you're an inspiration Murray!

Fantastic Murray. Brilliant way of showing it doesn't have to be a big hill to still have a great experience. One thing that is way too low for me though is the temperature !! roll on the Spring !! Loving the astro shots, keep them coming.

I'm with you man. Summit camping is really the only way to enjoy a sunset and a sunrise at the same spot. I've spent many nights at the top of various peaks here in the French Alpes and will continue to do so. Your video was amazing.

Yes Murray photos and videos can't replicate the experience but are still great to watch. Problem for most people is that proper summit camping is hard work, carrying all your camping and camera gear. ATB.

Those photos and the piano music just makes me keep coming back to this video Murray. I can tell just how much you appreciate the hills here in Scotland. Out of the wild camping uploads this year, nothing beats this one yet. Fantastic video. What a spot for a camp. Your description of a post-apocalyptic landscape reminded me of the path up the Merrick a couple of years ago. The path had been obliterated by forestry felling. It was a trial, I'll tell you. Definitely not a joy.

Oh my god that sunset! Amazing! Loved the time-lapse too. Didn't know about the vikings using the pub and the train (every day's a school day) 😂 When I can't get outdoors your videos are my go-to. Definitely the closest you can get to the feeling of being there.

Epic Murray, what a lovely Sunrise, on the subject of cold feet, I use M&S lightweight merino wool socks and a set of medium sealskinz over them, when I'm fishing night sessions = toasty toes. Great vlog, ATB.

Hello again Murray, it was great to meet your recently but at the time I had to confess and apologise that I wasn't aware of your channel. Your such an enthusiastic chap I had to look you up and wow, the vlogs you produce really are first class, great locations, great photography, a little bit of gear, easy going manner and just the right balance of everything expertly presented. I subbed after watching my first vlog and I'm sure I will be looking back at others as a source of reference for future trips (next visit planned for April, destination unknown, but ill be heading high and hopefully having night or two out). Great vlog, great channel keep up the good work and maybe our paths will cross again. Gary and Buddy
