New tips: Wait for the yellow storm to start closing in, then pay attention to the map there will he purple triangle areas that will appear on the map, those are called Payloads, they are the containers with the rarest of loot tables available. 2. Leave Repair putty at one charge left, then proceed to dismantle them. It will refund you at least 1 chemical , sometimes even both. If you have a stack of it in your hands, simply drop them on the ground to separate them, then pick up the one with 1 charge left.

When I first started out, probably on my 2nd or 3rd drive, I used a flare to light up a building and got the achievement for distracting an anomaly with a flare. When I went outside the building the tourists were all huddled around the stair and I almost shit myself

Another thing about the Liberator. If there's multiple parts right beside each other like say a panel, door or wheel, hitting the right spot can cause multiple parts to dislodge from the abandoned vehicle you're taking it from.

As another player with 60 hours, I agree with most of these tips, there's loads of things I whish I knew when I started... I'd add the tip to enable "switch in 1 interaction" in the accessibility settings, so you don't have to go throughout the hassle to drop the part on the floor and then install the new one. Also the fact you can zoom in & teleport the car whenever you want

I almost turned that on but then I realised I liked having to do it more methodically. Made the repair and swapping process more rewarding in a way. I felt even more connected to the process.

Zoom by pressing wheel on mouse, car teleportation on short distance to unstuck or turn it from hood by T button but be carefull it eats up electricity fast@@AngryBoozer

If you deconstruct the plasma cutter (or any tool) you get most if not all of the parts back even if the tool is almost broken.

Wow! Right off the bat that's an amazing tip. Chemicals are the one thing I can never get enough of. At this point the dumpster just gives me tons of repair putty because it knows i dont have the means of making it myself 😂

that works early on but once you get to armored panels and such the crystals are harder to get than chemicals so the putty becomes much more useful@@magnulof

The dumpster has given me dumpster pearls that you need to combine with a bulb to get the most out of. Always worth a quick check before scraping your pearls. The liberator, if you shot between panels you can remove more than 1 panel at a time

@@smoadia85 I've had pearls and they ain't got that glow. You scan it, and it says the tool to use is a bulb. So you make a bulb, and use it on the pearl. It will give you the R2 prompt and you just press it. I've only come across 2 such pearls in the last couple of zones

@@ptaylor81 Probably irrelevant but you dont actually want to fix the pearls . Status is what determines the loot table you get . The best ones IMHO is burned out (gives plasma - or lead and march egg if large) ,Oxidized (for chemicals) , charged (gas cylinders) and Cracked (Pressurized Cartridges) . Cracked you can induce if you hit it with a hammer , oxidized by liberator (though it can fail ) and charged you need one of the Towers to hit it (cant in the garage)

The Thermal vacuum's light has a specific advantage: It makes a certain shy but light-seeking resource appear from its hiding place which otherwise is a pain to coerce out and collect

I had two quirks that were linked. One was when the hood closed the dome light could toggle on or off. The other was the hood would open when reversing. So I would back up, the hood pops open, start going forward, and the dome light comes on.

I tend to prefer to smash the vapor lights, glass and canisters stack more comfortably and can be used for a lot more things. But still is handy to have a few spare bulbs around.

Iv just started the game only been on my second run, seeing how many upgrades there are on the fabricator took me back but watching your video has given me an idea of what I may need first to help on my travels, I’m enjoying the game so far there’s something different around every corner! 4:30 ahh that’s why I heard tourists explode ridiculously far away! I shot at a shaggy scrambler (or whatever that glowing red, purple, and black blob of floating stuff is) to explode it, and the flare was yeeted away never to be used again, but later I heard tourists explode in the direction of the flare, and they went to go and look at the flare and got to close to it! There wasn’t any tourists near me when I shot at the scrambler so the flare has ridiculous range when it comes to distracting tourists

There is a spacific trasmuter you can't ignore in zone 3 You can trade scraps and it gives you LIM magnets. This is the only way to get this resource and necessary for end-game upgrades. For those all you need is scrap or a kentic plate

@smoadia85 You have to put a stack in there, and they all have a chance to be transmuted. All I did was take my stack of scrap, put it in the eye and it started spitting out magnets and *used* scrap that can be cycled again Just make sure it's the right one, it has a screw on the right side and a magnet one the left side of the panel.

Good tip. I didn’t realise that’s how you get LIM magnets until almost literally the end of the game. It was driving me crazy cus I kept driving past them assuming it was just another regular transmuter so I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where to get the magnets aside from getting lucky finding them in trucks.

@MrEL91N it took me a lot longer then I'd like to admit to realize how important these are. You need the upgraded impact hammer for a resource that let's you make end game stuff but the LIM magnets let you make that hammer.

These damn tourists. The first time I encountered them I really didn't take any notice of them. As I accidentally plowed into a horde of them, in turn setting off a massive chain reaction. However. It was only until I went up and scanned one, proceeded to go back into my trusty car, tinkering with my map. AS SOON AS I LOOKED UP THERE WAS ANOTHER HOARD SURROUNDING THE CAR AND ONE WAS AT MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW. PS. At the time I was wearing white pants. Now they're definitely brown 😂😂😂😂😂

Lucked out by getting a couple liberators far before ever unlocking the ability to craft them. I made it a point to seek out abandoned squires at that point, and was able to fully armor my car very early on.

Hand vacuum is only needed things that are stuck, like eggs or light parts on those reflector checkpoint thingies, the rest easy to pick up by hand.

time is a resource in this game though. Consider scrapping a whole car, and rather than picking stuff up, you leave it on the ground, then go around again and suck everything up. If you end up looting more stuff with the time you have, it's worth it.

@@oEQjetMy counter argument is: if you constantly use it it breaks fast and you need to build it repeatedly, which costs quite a lot. You can pick up things (if you can see not dark) in less then 2 seconds.

You can use the anchor radar to find lost anchors as well. For instance, during a storm you dropped anchor and the wind blows it away. Wait till the storm passes and use the radar to find your lost spoil

Great tips I hadn't worked out how to get thermo sap. I managed to find some unstable Anda tiny bit of corrupted energy in the outer zone when I went to a storm area. It was really bad. I died but kept the energy.

Corrupted energy can be found in the mid zone but is very rare.

That transmuter you were looking at was turning steel sheets, not armored panels; you should be able to craft those from the car as long as you have some metal, and have unlocked the blueprint. Plastic is useless, but if it was something you were desperately short of it could be handy.

For healing purposes I found it useful to just eat food item directly out of the container I find them in. Cans are ubiquitous so pichking them all up fill your inventory quickly. Luckily, you can perform almost all inventory functions without actually moving an item out of its container.

Abductors are not triggered by light. They are triggered by objects in general.

Light help and you are correct but its also not needed. Try leaving unlit flares or scrap around your car when they are near it will work just the same.@@Mylesperhour20

Great video, I was wondering if you could help me with this: I'm still early in the game and at one point a satelite or space shuttle crashes into the road. I can't interact with it, it seems like, but it has a purple icon on the map. What is it and can I do anything with it?

If you look on the side sort of near the part where it connects with the ground there is a panel you can interact with. Inside is a bunch of rare items.

Failrace managed to carry multiple bumpers at once, probably via hotbar? Fisk realized Anchors only spawn Anomalies in it’s direct vicinity / where u are walking towards, thus you pick up anchor, far enough from your car, run the wrong direction, once it stopped spawning stuff u can safely run to ur vehicle and badabeng badaboom! Easy Klim! U can also throw a basketball at the exploding dummies! (Booom!) And yes, as the storm is closing in u get a high chance of an airdrop / missile pod / filled with items, perhaps from a plane / spaceship or whatsoever idk?

When I first found a couple of Liberators I wasted most of the charges by spraying 3 goblets per panel/door I wanted to remove, which also really dropped their HP. Then I realised I only needed one gobet.

I had a quirk that when I turned the wheel left the car reversed direction. It was terrible and I had to head back to the garage early from a run to fix it.

Wow that’s the worst one I’ve heard. None of mine ever really got too terrible. Lots of radio turning on and off or headlights dimming. But nothing really debilitating like yours.

So you say, ThermoSap Crystal is rare? cant you blow up a whole street full of Tourists to get loads of it? Or do explosions destroy loot?

In my case only 2 out of every 10 tourists dropped crystals, so that's a lot of flares for so little crystals. (Plus chain explosions knock away loot and make them harder to find)

Not every tourist drops a crystal. Probably around a 10% chance and if they do drop one there’s always a chance it can be blown a mile away because of all the explosions from the tourists

My basketball got eaten by the big shop Vacuum, and then vanished while I was on a mission. Probably should have retrieved it, but it can't be stored in cabinets so I thought the Vac was handy.

Just got to a location right next to you, go in like 100 yards and abandon mission. Then go back, find your ghost. Put something into the storage and take it back out and you'll get an achievement

Little Spoiler: (To get the best engine on the game for free) At the end on the game or the campaing at least, when you are on the weird place and find again your car there will be at the back some electric tourists, if you explode them they will to like a domino-like chain and at the top the last one will explode and will throw the best engine on the game, free engine! :D i was shock when i found that, i just exploded the tourist because i love to do that specially if theres a bunch to see them all explode in chan xD

It just goes off when the storm is closing in. Slow bounces for yellow storm then it goes crazy for red storm

I dunno WHAT I did, but I somehow ended up having what I call the "Immortal Flare Gun", it has one round left to shoot before it disintegrates but that one round has somehow become infinite, so now I have a flare gun with infinite ammo which I use to bully the creepy Tourists when they stalk me. All I remember is that I was switching between various tools and ended up with the infinite ammo, maybe I shot the very last round and switched the tool before the flare gun could disintegrate after its last shot, I'm not sure but it would be awesome if someone could recreate it and say why and how it happened.

You can throw anything really, not just flares. Just be sure to use full power and hit them at the top. (I cant mention what to throw them at because that gets my comment automatically deleted by RU-vid. This is attempt number 3) Also, unstable energy can be found in the outer zone, just go to a area that has a storm raging on it on the route planner. That does mean you'll have very little time to get it, but it can be done (careful though as it takes a lot of energy to warp out of zones like that, so breng plenty before going in). This might also be the case for getting corrupted energy in the mid zone but i haven't tried that yet.

I'm pretty sure the default tinker station shows you which guesses you got correct. The upgrade let's you spend energy to get hints.

Nope, the default one shows you how many guesses you got correct not specifying which ones. The upgrade shows you which ones you got correct and also lets you use anchor points to investigate

very helpfull tips, didn't knew or noticed that Tourist drop resources specially sap, also friendly dumpster one for me was very friendly and gave me fuel tank upgrade for seats rack hows that some bro move
