I was soooo invested as you stopped that day because of exhaustion (which I believe to be 100% the right call) I was also right there with you and totally excited (and maybe just a little bit worried for Muddy, hahahah) when you went through the rapids. I'm suprised to see you beating yourself up about having a rest , normally i allow a reset day ever week when on long trips and your certainly look like you had a bad sleep and a bad day when you woke up. a well deserved rest
May want to try to keep your lower arm straight (like an oar lock). Believe you’ll find your arms hurt less. Just a suggestion. Waiting for your next episode.
You are correct! I would love to get my stroke better for my next adventure. I went through phases of locking my arm more but in general I think it was all over the place 😂
@@JacobHarrell Also be sure to bring sun glasses and a bunji to keep you from losing them. UV light reflects off the water and will give your eyes sun burn. Experienced that the wrong way canoeing 150 miles (oh and the arm thing learned that there as well). Also remember you can stay under your boat on the shore during a hail storm. Doing what you are doing is an adventure that you will remember the rest of your life.
😂😅 poor muddy😳, when the little swell hit muddy sideways the look upon his little face was more like what the hell was that 😅😊. Jacob as for your comment about the canoe being one sided with the weight I burst out laughing, surely you have more room to manoeuvre now unless you had the replacement glass one installed in your never regions 😅😂🤪. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when you was talking to your boss about not being back ontime 🤣😂. Remember try not to sink HMS OBH your going to be needing it to reach your destination!!!
I decided not to have a replacement one but you are right! I never thought about the extra space, plus I imagine i'm slightly lighter now, more nimble 😅
