16 Hours in Emirates Premium Economy vs Business Class 

I reached out to Emirates for permission to film onboard so I can interact with the crew and film something different. The motivation for my vlog is to show you my experience and enjoy the trip together. It is not intended as a review because it is based on one single flight. In Q3, I will launch a flight rating platform where everyone can rate their flight. This way, we will have a more consistent number of responses that can represent it fairly.

The crew seem so lovely on this flight. What a joy. I'm sure the 24 week bonus really helped but it goes to show the difference when staff are genuinely motivated to work. Such lovely ladies & lovely smiles.

ANA actually does that. On my recent flight with ANA from Chicago to Tokyo and Tokyo to Singapore, they handed out the business class drinks menu after the meal service to Premium Economy guests and asked to choose the wine of their choice including champagne. Thats a great way to reduce the wastage of wines opened for welcome drinks and for meal service.

It seems the Premium Economy product offers a fantastic value to people who want to try, but perhaps can't afford the amazing first and business class experiences that Emirates is so famous for. This still looks really comfortable, and for the first time, the airline food actually looks like something I would really enjoy! Yay for Tillamook! Praying for your mother. I'm sorry for this difficult time, but I'm so glad thay you are prioritizing your time with her. I know that she loves and appreciates you, and is clearly proud of you. May your time with her be warm and meaningful .

I always enjoy watching you interact with the staff & giving us a look into not only the cabins but a lot of the things that goes on within the airlines. This is what sets you apart the other “airline” RU-vidrs. Wishing your mom health & happiness

It's always nice to watch an Emirates a380 airliner with good service and facilities onboard,That mojito drink was the best that any other airline could barely offer I guess, overall its a good airline to travel to international trip.

I flew Premium Economy (bulkhead seats no less!) on the Lufthansa A-380 from Miami to Frankfurt round-trip in 2016. It was the best flight and best aircraft I have ever flown. Excellent service, food and wine, ambiance, and room for Yoga exercise by the galley. Loved the tail camera view on take-off and landing :)

I always love when you fly Emirates they do customer service the right way and always seem to go above and beyond daily! Wow so happy for the employees getting a 24 week bonus, wow I would have fainted right there on the spot. Sam your mom does come first and don't worry about the need to produce flight videos there will always be time for them. I hope your heading back to LA soon to be with her. I lost both my parents 6 years ago 5 weeks apart it was so hard and since I am a only child I felt utterly devastated. So go be with your mom cherish this time with her, I know she must be so so very proud of the man you have become. Will keep your mom and you in my prayers

I’m ground staff for Qantas. We were close to canceling a flight so we moved passengers to other flights as much as we could. In the end it was only a delay and we ended up boarding only 64 people on a A380. Everyone in economy got business and premium economy meals lol

Sam, when I immigrated to Los Angeles,my mother was with me through thick and thin. I had the privilege of my mother living with me for 30 years until she pass away at age 96. I cared for her along with 2 hired caregivers who lived with us. I Absolutely miss my mom.

Love your family-oriented focus…you are so right, family comes first. All this other RU-vid activities are secondary. You only get one family and once they are gone from this earth, they are forever. I lost my mom about 1.5 years ago, but I treasure those precious moments we spent together along the way. I will see her again one day, that I know for sure.

Take care of your mother Sam . I lost my father in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. We could not visit him in hospital to restrictions. He was an immigrant to Canada and came here in 1970 to give us good life . Not a day has gone by since I lost him that I don’t think of him. . I have cried an ocean of tears . Cherish your mother. In the end we will leave all of our money, assets on this earth . But our memories will stay with us forever . 🙏

Emirates never ceases to surprise me

Sam, I completely understand your wanting to take care of your mother. As a very powerful RU-vidr in the aviation industry, I’m sure that airlines will waive change or cancellation fees for you, particularly if they know the reason why you need to be with your mother at this time. Unfortunately, airlines won’t extend that same courtesy to its regular passengers. I flew Singapore Airlines last September from Seattle to Bangkok for 2 months working on my house in Chiangmai. My brother died unexpectedly in mid October and I had to get home for the funeral. I did go to the Singapore app and they were far from selling out economy for the flight that I needed. Singapore Airlines knew my situation and still refused to show any compassion and charge me a couple of hundred dollars to change my economy ticket that had cost me $674 total. They wanted $1,650 to change, forcing me, at a time of extreme grief and stress, to look for a last minute one way airfare less expensive than what Singapore Airlines wanted. I ended up flying Qatar Airlines home in time barely for the funeral. I’ll never fly Singapore Airlines again.

Sam, I was touched by your dedication to your mother. My mother, who was a big part of my life, died peacefully a few months ago at age 92. Thanks for reviewing Business vs Premium Economy on Emirates. I have been wondering about this for a while since Business on Emirates has become more expensive. I have had the opportunity to travel for many airlines from different countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, India, most of the European and American airlines and I have come to the conclusion that the Latin American flight attendants are the friendly ones, they smile all the time and they are the prettiest. I don't want flight attendants from other countries to feel bad, but the way Latinas are makes them special, for some reason they are always winning beauty pageants, both Miss Universe and Miss World, they have a special beauty.

The premium economy seat can be reclined partially, but not fully reclined to flat bed in business class. The food served in premium economy is far better in economy. If airline can market their premium economy well, it will be the preferred choice for long haul travel.

I am now more convinced that Premium Economy is way more practical and doable than Business. Great that Emirates has launced Premium Economy which is on a different ball game. Wish your mum feels better.

I just lost my Dad he was sick for sometime but went suddenly. I had put my plans on hold to spend time with Dad and am glad I did. We don't ever know how long we have with loved ones. When someone we love falls ill we come to realise how insignificant many things in life are that we'd otherwise fuss over. I'm sure your viewers understand that family is more important at this time.

Sam when your Mother leaves earth what she has done for you will never leave you. I lost my Dad in 2008 at 81 and my Mom in 2016 at 86. I miss them daily. They loved me with unconditional love, as I loved them the same.

I must say that whether you are a famous or regular ones, the treatment of the cabin crews at Emirates are superb. I flew with my baby and they were so accommodating. I like everything from the food esp the baby/kiddie meals to extra services and freebies. What you paid for is totally worth it😍😘

I lost my mom in 2021 to cancer. I was her full time caretaker until then. Take as much time as you need as you can never get that back. It was always my dream to take her on a trip and that never happened sadly. Enjoy your time with Mama
