Off topic, but I personally would recommend you to study Hinduism and it's philosophies on your own if you're ever interested in it. Because there are alot of misconceptions about Hinduism online such as that hindus worship cow or consider cows to be god. Or that Hinduism is polytheistic religion, some even go as far as to say that caste based discrimination is part of Hinduism, when it isn't.

You know the funny thing I've noticed here? Every human goes through multiple philosophies that can be represented using a DFA (Deterministic Finite Automaton) diagram. This is like proof that we are in a simulation, meaning everything is pre-planned or constrained, so ultimately, nothing matters. Edit 1: But then, this thought itself should also be pre-planned, so we can never be sure if we are thinking in the right direction or not because there is no right direction. This realization led me to an advanced mode that strongly resonates with अद्वैत (Advaita). Yesterday was Father's Day and although my father is no longer in this world, but he was a great philosopher in his own way. He studied almost all religious books and philosophies and after all his hustle, he probably realized everything. However, he knew he couldn't explain it all to a child, so he might have named me in a way that one day I would delve deeply into the meaning of my name. Edit 2: And now, thinking about the above monologue, I realize I am acting like one of those "purana philosophy" guys. You've got my thoughts racing, bro. I feel like I have so much to talk to you about, or maybe nothing at all. It's hard to explain.

"we live in simulation" is based on action-reaction or "energy/matter is conserved" theory but as of now, we know that at subatomic level, things go randomly, nothing is fixed, we may be living in a simulation but that simulation is not linear, it randomly chooses outcomes which can't be predicted for sure. I don't know what I wrote here, but just wanted to turn your monologue into dialogue.

Buddhism definitely doesn't say it's only void (the video only says this for sake of having to give a long explanation) for the reason that you can still clearly observe that there are feelings/a world etc.; it's the middle/avoidance of extreme nothingness and extreme tangibility; nihilism/annihilationism and eternalismism. it's closer to avdaita in that regard but just that it implies that there's no permanent atman. It also presents deep meditation ("pure consciousness") as a state useful for insight in its jhaana model, either as general deep samaadhi or the "6th jhana / 2nd arupa jhana", but consciousness is also quite "existent yet intangible; observable yet not solid, not reliable" like any other feeling or thought. the stream of consciousness is like a sandy beach stretching down the shore, but when you look closely, it's made of millions of disconnected grains; clearly that's not a void and clearly it's not "full" in the sense of something worth holding on to.

@@Purwapada no, consciousness is "the clear light of the void". It is so that we don't misunderstand it as a "thing", so it is put as "no-thing", not "nothing". Yes, they say the atman doesn't exist, but that's because the idea at that time was that the atman was a thing, which changed with the coming of Advaita, especially with Shankara, and slowly the Buddhists lost the logical grounds, and then popularity.

Great meme! But I only have one complaint tho. You should've included Sikhi too. Well, to be fair, the philosophy of Sikhi isn't widely known, but here's my attempt at integrating it into a game strategy: “Immerse yourself in the game, recognizing it as nothing but the manifestation of God's will [Hukam] in multiplicity, and accept the storyline as God's will. In fact, even the game beyond, including all the NPCs, are Hukam.” Also, Sikhi places great emphasis on Shakti pujan, the worship of Shakti, so both the Maya [the code written to develop the game] and the Maayi [developer] are one. ੧ਓ.

It's just overview. We are just going with conventional categorisation. But remember many of these have converged at many places. Gita, one of the three pillar of vedanta has sankhya, yoga in it, too. All 6 darshana agree and keep veda as authority. So all converge in vedanta. Shri Krishna In gita says..all jnani are nishkam karm yogi. One cannot exist without karma(action). So jnana is also given to do right karma. So everything converge. Only difference that is seen is bcz all of these have emerged at different times, and with diff terminologies

The only thing they care about is "here and now" coupled with how to maximise pleasure in the "here and now".
