@@Kinsanth_ That needs to be qualified. When driving alone, at night, in the country, a welcome distraction such as upbeat music can help stave off highway hypnosis which can be extremely dangerous.
You know, one day, I smelled fish and when I listened to your advice, you were right! It was a malfunction! Thank you, you gave me advice that turned out to be useful! P.S I love your videos!

There is an issue with tip #3. DO NOT get as close to the floor as possible. TVs and other electronics as well as other things found in most homes are made of plastic which when burned releases Carbon Monoxide which is also not the same as regular smoke. Carbon Monoxide is heavier than air so it settles near the floor. Generally the safest place to be is roughly around doorknob height which in most cases will put you between the burning smoke overhead and the toxic cloud below.

I love your videos. But when it comes to a tornado you should go to the most interior room of your house! Not the bath tubs. They're not made out of cast iron any more, so they cannot protect you.

@@pmallenpl1890 The issue is that if the current shifts while you're trying to swim parallel, you'll make it worse and make yourself more tired. I live near the coast and they just announced this year that is the best way. I'm glad you survived.
I was visited by a bear cub while hiking and the big bear was not happy. I raised my arms over my head, moved away from the cub as it kept coming near me, and started singing. The cub went back to the big bear and they left. I went back to my car taking a different route since the bears left the way I had come originally. I will remember to go around in circles if I am ever chased. I still hike but never alone anymore and I always talk or sing.
Me and my mom got stuck in a current once. She said she couldn’t touch the ground and she look worried. I was only like 5 years old and I had a life jacket on so that was good. All I remember is she told me to swim parallel like in the video and use all your strength. About 5 mins later we made it!
#14 if your hair suddenly sticks up. Get low & move to a lower area. Just moving still standing can get you hit by lightning, you must first get low, duck down before moving, the objective is to be lower than the surrounding objects or area that is conducting.
Actually not all venomous snakes have round pupils, and visa versa. An animal that has slit pupils is just nocturnal, and an example of this would be cats. They aren't venomous but they are most active at later hours of the day.
Working construction and always having dozens of containers of bottled water in the back pickup in the hottest days in the South I've never once heard anybody ever remotely mention a water bottle catching on fire
I've watched a half-filled clear plastic water bottle (mine) set the vegetation on fire in Spain. There are sticky bushes called "jarra" which burn like petrol and the fire can spread very quickly. I managed to stamp it out but if it had got going I might not have been able to outrun it.
Really? I've heard about this and there was a news story about it where the refraction of light through a bottle set the seat on fire. Also are your windows tinted? Are the bottles in the bed, on the floor or on the seat? I think there is a RU-vid video of this happening too.
@@carissaleonard3418 An empty bottle won't do it, there has to be some water in it to act as a lens and focus the sun's rays. The focal point is very close to the bottle, so it would probably be the seat cover or some flammable material underneath the bottle. I would guess that tinted windows would reduce the possibility of it happening. A lot depends on the position of the bottle and the angle of the sun. A rare occurrence but not impossible, especially in a hot country.
DO NOT GET IN THE TUB! They are often made from ceramic now and will cut you if broken by debris. (This used to be true when all bath tubs were cast iron )
What if venemous snakes are surfing a tsunami during a tornado and you're house is on fire but you can't ask for help because all humans have been abducted by aliens?
Wow...the snake one. Everyone please disregard it. The majority of New World venomous snakes are vipers (the coral snake being the main exception)and do have the slitted pupils/pronounced head & body demarcation mentioned in this video. (IIrc, the vast majority of venomous snakes in Europe fall into that category too.) However, some the deadliest snakes on the planet by any measure (in Africa, Australia, India, & Asia)include both vipers AND elapids. Elapids, ie. cobras, mambas, browns, taipans, etc. have round pupils, and not the pronounced head/body demarcation of a viper. But no matter where you are, it's probably best to abide by that VERY wise old adage "The most dangerous snake is the one that just bit you." Even the bite of a non-venomous constrictor can cause a nasty infection.
