honey paste As an INTP, I hate vine, and I am definitely glad it is no more. Vine caters to stupid kids with short attention spans, and now Musically/Tik Tok is doing the exact same thing in its place. We need to demand more from our entertainment!
ENFP is actually the exact other way round for me. We love ideas and fiction in general. Movies can engage our emotions and develop ideas at the same time and we definitely love weird movies.
Definitely, I was about to say something similar. In my case I do like (and most of the time prefer) funny movies, but what is funny for me I realized is weird for a lot of my friends lol. I enjoy the most movies with a hidden meaning, with a plot twist, that can make you think and even overthink stuff lol, movies that make you develop ideas and if you add a funny or sarcastic character in it = perfect movie!
That's what i was thinking! If i have to watch a movie with friends, i would say anything but sad and tragic movies. Because in movies like terror, suspense, romance and bla bla bla my mind will always pop jokes into my head and the impulse to tell is unstoppable, but in sad movies though... it will too! And people will laugh and be mad at me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
INTJ -you got that one spot on, I love watching movies not only for the story- but to see how all the elements of sound, acting, and cinematography work together. It’s a way for me to let me Se just have fun while me Te picks apart the movie.
INTJ/INTP - I like complex stories with deep themes, but I also love documentaries. Man, ESTJ types are the best - someone who has standards and can enjoy the serious things.
I'm an INFJ, and I love movies and books with deep characters, character redemption, villains with a believable backstory, conflicting motives/actions, and imperfect heroes. Not to mention amazing storylines and great cinematography 😄. My fav movies are Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Prince of Persia, and Great Expectations (with Jeremy Irvine) Edit: I'm adding a few other favs! Gladiator, When Marnie Was There, Little Big Soldier (Da Bing Xiao Jiang in Mandarin) and My Mighty Princess (a Korean movie, I rewatch it often, which is rare for me).
Me too, good visuals+good plot+good actors+good message!) Also I HATE when the female protagonist is weak or clumsy, instead, I like the movies when she is independent and strong. (Divergent, The hunger games, Harry Potter❤, the fight club..) I also love bizarre movies, idk I just enjoy that kind of twisted humor I guess, but not much, just ocasionally.. (like Scary Movie) And musicals, I like musicals (Moulin rouge, mamma mia, glee...)
YAS! Anything that has an interesting character or narrative. Could be horror, romance, comedy, action, fantasy, scifi, etc. If I can believe those are real people with real conflict Im good. Despite having shit taste XD
As an INFP, I personally hate sad movies. I have found that most of my INFP friends and I enjoy movies that take you on an emotional journey that ends well, especially ones that spark our imagination or stray from the bounds of reality.
@@reveriedreamshade5669 same me too. Like when it is sad ending, i got thinking about it for days and sometimes even for week. Why must it be so sad, can't it be other way around? 😢
Ahhh awesome vid (INFP here) But dontcha think ENFPs would love the confusing plotlines? they're Ne doms so they're attracted to things presented to them as a puzzle to be deciphered
Exactly what I was thinkingggg as an ENFP I love psychological movies, sci fi movies, movies that make you think and challenge your mind or are far from actual reality
INFJ ~Lord of the Rings & Harry Potter No, but really I love deep spiritual and fantastical adventures on one day and then witty comedies the next. Then on some days when I want to explore the darker parts of human nature, I watch psychological thrillers. When I want to dive into the creativity of the human consciousness I watch anime and sci-fi. Lastly, when I want to escape the confines of human society I watch nature & science documentaries.
This is actually true. Lord of the Rings trilogy is my go to when I'm feeling stressed and all. Plus psychological films, thriller, scifi are my fave genres. INFJ here
@@meganford5772 I'm infj as well and actually hate romance movies. I find them very irritating. Maybe it's just saltiness about my own reality, lol. I love music and easily get emotionally attached to it, but I can't sit through a musical either.
I think there is a common misconception surrounding the ENFP personality. I know your videos are simply following the personalities' stereotypes but I still wanted to shed light on some of our traits. Although we are often portrayed as bubbly, shallow and not very smart on memes and videos such as these. That impression people get is founded solely on our gregarious and oftentimes enthusiastic persona. When in reality, the ENFP is considered the introverted extrovert among the extroverts. We need lots of time alone to focus on hobbies and ideas we are passionate about. We keep our emotions hidden from the public eye and we take life rather seriously even if it seems otherwise. Concealing our pain and discomfort with humor and jokes. We are wise people often preferring to ponder on life darkest topics even with strangers. I am always there to give sound advice to friends and I definitely do not behave like a hyper unicorn unless we are talking about subjects that I am interested in and surrounded with people that I trust (a very small circle by the way) I am not talking on behalf of all ENFPs out there but I complete abhor small talk and prefer watching complex, thought provoking thrillers over comedy. P.S. I really enjoy your videos though. You're funny.
@@setoshikuchiki8588 I think us sensors really don’t like reaching a conclusion in general since there’s too much considerations... I think this is why we say “I don’t know” because we are more cautious about making assumptions and are skeptical of ourselves, though I’d definitely say ISTJs are a lot more perfectionist in nature
@@Laura-Yu yeah. Also we say only what is true, while intuitives are too confident but wrong almost all the time(like my ENTP friend, for ex.)What is your type?
Sabila Syarafina hahahah you guys really are! My best friend is an ENFP and she’s the most skilled human being when it comes to movies (from remembering ever detail to guessing everything)
THIS IS SO TRUE! That's why I like those unpredicatable mind blowing movies! The defining moment for me if the movie is good is if I didn't predict the ending.
My mom and sister don't let me speak anymore when we're watching a movie (that they chose). I walk in 20 minutes in, explain how the plot will twist and who will end up with whom, then wander away, come back for the end, and they're mad at me. "No spoilers!!!" I haven't seen it before, I was only guessing.
Infp- I like animated movies, especially Tim Burton or Pixar And for other movies, I like dark comedies and satires the most, something quirky, intelligent, deep, and slightly crazy like me
Haha, I resonated most with the INTJ, but I’m INFJ. What’s your type? These are fun, and you’ve really captured the body language/speech patterns of the types too, which is pretty impressive.
INFJ here. Same. I actually thought about it before watching the whole thing and was a combination of the infj and intj ones: has to have deeper meanings that resonate with humanity as a whole, presented in a way that is artistic and weaves together different themes such as identity, perception, social justice, conflict.. etc. (very specific, I know lol)
I'm an enfp and I don't really like comedy :/ and I love weird movies too, and especially those that have lots of twists and turns and plot and characterization heavy ones. Love em fantasy movies too, anything that has good story-telling basically
ENFP. I like movies I can learn from, become a better person, emotional, funny, something that expands my thinking. The stereotypes I see for ENFP is when I was younger. Now I'm 30 and I'm definitely not the portrayed ENFP.
Bang on with the ENTJ. I really do need good story telling and especially what I call 'Immersion in the movie' or else if it is not immersive/engagive ,it's a waste of time considering how I specifically watch movies as a sort of disconnect from the world and to enter a new world. Bravo
When I was watching the video, I thought: as an INFP, this is slightly correct. Than I started to think about all the movies I liked from various genres and there was one over arcing theme. Growth as an individual. Thats when I thought: crap, nailed it.
As an INFP, I'm gonna spend 2 hours thinking about what I want to watch, MAYBE choose something and then pause it 2 minutes in because I want to sit and ponder life
I watched 30 minutes or so of Blade Runner and then I think again Nahh.. i probably should watch anime, death note or smth And then I go naaaah just wanna ponder life rn
Dude I’m an INFJ and I write screenplays. I was crying yesterday talking to someone about how films are meaningful and necessary etc. Actually crazy how you captured that verbatim.
Same this is so true , I love talking about the cinematography, screen plays , message , acting and meaning in depth like how it affects the society and what and thinking about how the world thinks and feel about a certain genre and the way that genre was directed and screenplays and what people learn, feels, and understand from it .sometimes people I am very weird but some really appreciate it and love it tho .I am 14 year old INFJ .
INFP here. I like movies that are fun and creative but also have good plot and character design along with interweaving themes that produce a strong message-sorry I’ll shut up😂
INFP is very accurate. I don't care the plot of the movie as long as I can identify themes of courage, kindness, beauty, authenticity and other virtues that inspire me.
ENFPs love weird and unexpected brain-twisting movies! we are the most creative MBTI type that I know so far. AND tbh comedy which you say we like the most is the least genre I like. haha
ENFP HERE (: I definitely like funny movies, HOWEVER they are not my fav. I like the romantic movies, the tear jerkers, the ones that realllyyyyy make me think and question things are my favorite! Also was talking to some enfp friends about this and we all pretty much agree that something that makes us think and feel something after watchign it is the best!
You pretty much summed me up (INTJ), but my husband, who is a strong INTP, loves both documentaries and comedy horror/action/Chinese movies - and most importantly, coherent plot lines. If it's slow moving and doesn't reveal anything, it drives both of us nuts. Sometimes it can be stupid and still be fun (The Walking Dead). I'm not entirely certain you can break down movies by personality type, but I still LOVED this video. You're very talented. Plus, you make me laugh. No idea what your career choice is, but if it's comedy, you're on the right track. :)
As an intp I am interested in your assessment. I like to think about interweaving ideas. I like to analyze the philosophical arguments in art. It’s not about becoming more intelligent, it’s about considering a new concept. Huge action set pieces don’t hurt either. It has to be tasteful, but I can appreciate when it’s about having fun.
INFP here. I like a movie with a good story. I'm not fond of soap opera style dramas but I like a story I can get into. Action and comedy are also good.
INFP here: favorite movies include; LOTR (of course), V for Vendetta, Pride and Prejudice Favorite genres: fantasy/science fiction, historical, inspirational I'd say you nailed it lol
Lol, I was curious what you'd put at ESFP, but then I loled, because it was so on point, including delivery! That was 100%. Action movies, some comedies, if they're witty. Tarantino, Fincher, Wright, those kind of things.
INFJ: I think i would rather watch a dystopian fiction or space sci-fi so can rather go “humans should be better not to divide themselves into selfish groups” or be like “humans have the power to think about travelling between solar systems to look for another planet but how to f do they not have a solution for global warning and war!? Oh wait no one listens to the ones that do, this world” My INFJ feelings
Yes ENTJ! Smart & good story telling. (great acting & clearly defined characters is a given) Not any particular genre....all questions answered by the end. eg: Shawshank Redemption, Goodbye Girl, Lord of the Ring Trilogy, It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (Allister Sims version), LA Confidential....🎬
As an INFJ its hard for me to describe why I like a movie or not, I just feel it or I don't. I do have a general distaste for hyperbolic action and a general love for complex "grey" characters. Perhaps I enjoy movies with room for interpretation.
As an INFP, my favorite movie is The Princess Bride. I just love fantasy. But like I also like meaningful movies for when I wanna cry. Very different things
I'm INTP. Some of my favorite movies are Catch Me if You Can, Count of Monte Cristo, A Beautiful Mind, Captain Phillips, Castaway, Bourne series, etc etc. Anything awesome.
I fluctuate between INFJ and INTJ (I love both logic and emotion so I'm 50-50) and your video is ON POINT! :) Keep making these videos, they are great and fun to watch
@@raihankameel320 If you saw me in a heated debate where I'm crushing opponents with facts and logic and not caring about how they feel, I'm sure you would change your opinion. :) I definitely believe that a person doesn't have to be just one type. Especially because I can take a test now and score 49 in thinking and 51 in feeling and tomorrow I take it again and its vice versa.
Sup. Some advice nobody asked for. You actually can't change types but it is easy to determine whether you are on the Te-Fi axis or Fe-Ti axis. Te-Fi (INTJ) axis values other people more than self and wants to use reason to change other people's thinking. They like to argue, teach others and find effieciency. Fe-Ti (INFJ) axis makes you want to make everybody feel comfortable and retain that logic side rather within. But this can get more complicated. Recent research shows about half the population has those middle functions switched. Fi-Te (INTJ) is a very introverted, private person focused on self and what they love. Ti-Fe (INFJ) is also extremely self-focused (still less than IxxPs tho) but rather on own reasons. That person likes to think and find patterns alone, very kind of hermit-y person. Of course, you're a Ni domintant so those patterns and organitation are a priority for both types.
@@veronikavarakova3927 Thanks. :) I just cant explain why each time I take the test, I get different results. It's always between INFJ and INTJ and it keeps switching, it's never clear. I dont know how but I have two sides of me. I'm complete introvert for sure, I'm intuitive and judging and this never changes but this F and T is giving me headache and I see myself in descriptions for both INTJ and INFJ. People who know me also say that sometimes I'm this and sometimes that. Anyway, doesnt matter. Tnx.
I’ve noticed that some of my SJ friends like to watch and rewatch movies as a tradition. One ISTJ friend reluctantly moved for work, but when she lived closer, she would host annual Halloween and Christmas movie nights with the same friends from high school. We’d generally watch the same holiday-themed movies each year.
INFP here. I much prefer watching movies that have a good story, or great story. With a cast of characters that bounce, and build off each other to such an extent that they make it better. So, nothing too flashy.
I'm an ENFP and this is exactly the opposite! I really like mind blowing movies, sci-fi unpredictable ones, weird and very different from your typical movie formula! I feel so triggered lol We are stereotyped as fluffy airheads but I assure we like deep stuffs!
INFP. I kinda like movies that are animated, psychological, historical, quite gory and dark, and a bit on the fantasy side. I mostly like it when its dark and some characters (especially the main) is pretty twisted or has a screw loose.
Nope, nope, ENFP and INTP wrong for sure. I'm an ENFP and I love weird stories, touching stories, smart etc. If it's a movie like Fast and Furious maybe not but that's about it. If you deepen your knowledge on ENFPs you will see that they're also quite wise and melancholic about certain things. And my INTP brother particularly loves comedies, the good ones though, not too predictable and fantasy/sci-fi. My ESTJ father also likes comedies a lot. Seriously I don't think types have such a specific and complex taste for movies.
You can't really predict someone's interests just from their personality type, just what they're more likely to like, so that does make sense. Not all INTPs like the same things. As far as I know, there are even those who dislike math and science.
@nepenthe from your previous comment i told myself: ah that's something my infj friend would definitely say. Then you say you are an infj haha I get annoyed quickly when someone tries to assume things about me, especially when people completely misunderstand my character. I don't assume things about personalities i didn't meet or don't understand, if i made a video about types i don't know, i would study them first or ask someone who actually knows. It's just mis-characterising completely and misleading to people who don't know the type, that is why i get annoyed. Not everyone is open minded enough to realise it's just a stereotype, even if it's weird to assume so, as people always forget enfp have extroverted intuition as a dominant function! It means we seek information a lot and wouldn't hesitate to discuss very deep subjects. Sorry for the ranting, but i had to let it out.
@nepenthe no, i totally get what you said, not offended, as i said i have a friend who reminds me of things like that haha. And yes, exactly as you said, most people generally catalog people a lot unfortunately and don't know about mbti or just know the surface of it. me and my infj friend discuss mbti a lot and try to guess people's types through the cognitive functions, not through the personality description, as we know many stereotypes derive from it and that within the types people still vary and are quite different. I guessed your type because of the way you talk, i can literally imagine the way you talk in my head, in my infj friend's voice haha, you guys always have that chill vibe when you talk, and the way you explained what you said... Arghh im going on too much. Anyway, she also told me that sentence a lot and always tries to calm me down in situations like this where i get triggered over things other people say or think, and i do the same for her, but she tries to avoid people like that. in fact she never understands why i even read the comments on anything at all. Sorry if my writing is incoherent or grammaticaly imprecise... I just woke up and English isn't my native tongue. Thanks for taking the time to read this. P.s- i realized i might have sounded a little conceited... I didn't mean to, i don't know if you know any enfps, but i believe its not a stereotype as much to say we like to speak first and then think when we are enthusiastic, probably because of NE. I am just oversensitive to things like this, hihi sorry if i offended you or something
i'm an infp and i love movies with a bit of everything that takes me on a whole journey and makes me forget i'm watching a movie in the first place, with unexpected twists and turns here and there.
I'm new to the mbti thing, and find that I don't ever really identify with any one in particular. How can you narrow down what you are? The tests online always say something different and I have a hard time choosing answers because the disagree to agree scale of answer choices makes it hard to choose especially when I feel both on a lot of the questions.
ENTP is pretty much spot on. You know what show I can learn from? You know what show is witty? You know what show is funny? All at the same time? Monty Python. You know what I’m a fan of? Monty Python
1:23 also movies with good world-building, to show how well thought out the movies are, so that the characters and properties in the story don't feel like they are just randomly thrown in together because it seemed like a good idea. Relations between characters should be explained or presented in some way so that the audience can see and experience the character development by seeing how everyone's attitude towards each other has either changed or kept the same at the end of the movie. This links to the tone of the movie at the end, if there is character development and the main problem being solved we as the viewers may feel some accomplishment and vice versa.
I'm an ENFP and I *LOVE* brain-twisting sci-fi movies! I'm a big fan of originality and love when people take traditional concepts and twist them in a way you wouldn't have thought possible (think of movies like Inception, In Time, Edge of Tomorrow, etc). So no, fine sir, you have the ENFP one wrong.
The_Lucid_Dreamer_07 Greetings! Yes, the movie inception is incredible, though I didn’t get to watch it all the way through. I really want to re-watch it sometime! And I noticed your name says lucid dreaming in it. I actually wrote a science fiction/fantasy novel that revolves around the theme of dreams. If you would like to check it out I could send you the link. By the way, what is your Myers-Briggs type?
@@the_lucid_dreamer_0755 Yes I need to finish it :D here's the link to my novels - www.amazon.com/s?i=digital-text&rh=p_27%3AAbraham+M.+Luckey&s=relevancerank&text=Abraham+M.+Luckey&ref=dp_byline_sr_ebooks_1
I'm intp and when I was 15, I watched back to the future and I loved it. Well honestly, I think most people who watched it would like the movie... But actually I don't know what 'kind' of movies I like. I kinda liked the most of the movies that I watch no matter what kind of it was...
ENFP 🖐️ Big fan of Fast&Furious series, Marvel movies, Inception, Now you see me. Something that has a good intro, a bit of action, a climax and a simple but meaningful ending. I love it when a movie makes me think who the bad guy is, what would someone do, how the ending will be.
I'm an INFP but I am so picky with movies- maybe because I'm a film geek so I don't really care for the morals, I just really love the other side of things, like witty writing, creative transitions, I like movies that leave me in awe when I finish. But I truly love good movies that have a good message behind it, I mean, you make movies to deliver a story, or a message, right?
As an ENFP the funny ones are the ones I try to ignore because they tend to be so obvious and the plot is soo flat. Give me anything that's weird, twisted, and makes you ask yourself about life and time. If not, just give me a documentary... I'll only take comedy if I'm feeling down but it has to be a certain type of comedy; as always: depending on my depression level. :3
ENTP - I play a game with these videos to see if that's how I'd respond as my most ENTP self. You nailed this one. Can't we get someone around here to keep score?
Well I don’t I believe people can become possessed through horror movies. I feel like they are giving the demons permission to come in and possess the person
@1:16 is me. Yes, I like movies that are creative while getting a few specific messages across. Movies are made to enlighten and reveal ideas we haven't addressed before or should focus on.
