I think it's worth bearing in mind that in all of these "Through the Eyes of . . ." videos the presentation of each type is distorted by the perceptive framework of the type through whose eyes they are seen. I would guess that the ESFP, with her Se/Fi perspective, would hone in on precisely those aspects of the weak spots that make the INTP particularly prone to social awkwardness, the delay in processing immediate spatial, sensory, and internal emotional information, snarled up in the Fe Inferior desperation to not wreck the group vibe, that together can bring about that deer in the headlights response to sudden, unexpected, and most likely unwanted, attention. I'm an INTP who has learned to be at least somewhat socially adept. I am, for instance, comfortable singing in public because I've had some training and have been doing it most of my life. But the sudden attention directed my way of a crowd spurred on by an effervescent ESFP is exactly the kind of situation where, if I don't switch gears quickly enough into my quasi-ENTP performer/raconteur mode, I could come pretty close to resembling Kristen's delightful caricature, which comes painfully close to reminding me of what I like to believe is no longer my present but rather my past, younger, and decidedly clueless self.

Beautifully said! I, too, have a 'quasi entp mode' not for singing (please, no!), but for delivering sprightly training sessions or even some light jokey improv. It's doable, as long as you're on auto-pilot to an extent. Exhausting, though. And yes, it's got to be something you feel completely competent at! Otherwise ...

Damn you know us too well, unless you're one of us. I only sing when i'm home alone, no one knows that i can sing. I just talk when i do karaoke with my friends. One time I slipped up and my friend heard me and i just stood there and denied it. The most embarrassing moment of my life

My brother is an ISFJ. It's probably more common than you think. He definitely comes across as more logical than the many female ISFJs that I know, making him slightly more difficult to type. Also, his wife is an ESFP. 🙂

@@letfreedomring7330 Aw thats sweet thank you. I had an ISTJ male friend until he had to move. You guys are hilarious sometimes and really down to earth. Sharing the Si seemed to always make our convos easy and pleasant, even if we disagreed. It was an appreciative friendship. I wish I had some of the thinking abilities you have! The quiet confidence and ability to motivate themselves that ISTJ's have is very unique and attractive. :-)

ISFJs in general are supposedly the most common type, so even if most of them are women, male isfjs still aren't super rare. But it might feel like that because people too often assume women are feelers and men are thinkers.
