This is such a masterpiece. I was so invested in the series through the whole thing. My favorite episode was Merge Sort Out-of-Place. It was so heartfelt, especially when they all said "uaiuuuaaaiiiuuuuuuaaaaaaiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiii" at the same time. I started to tear up! Thank you w0rthy for this absolute blessing of a series ❤
4:20 : I like this one because at that moment the random selecting noise is starting the get more stable and pitched higher and higher like in those movies with a rising tension for the hero to do something that saves everyone in the last seconds.
It creates an array B with all 0 and with length n=maxA (with A being the array that must be sorted). Then it goes through the given array A and each time it finds a number k in it, it adds 1 to the number in kth position in B and removes k from A. When A is empty, it goes through B and for each position k it appends k to A as many times as the value in kth position in B. This may not make much sense (sorry😅), I'll try with an example: A[5,1,6,8,6] B[0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0] (each 0 corresponds to the numbers 1 to 8). It starts going through A, finds 5 and the number in fifth position in B becomes 1, finds 1 and the number in first position in B becomes 1, finds 6 and the number in sixth position in B becomes 1, finds 8 and the number in eighth position in B becomes 1, finds 6 and the number in sixth position in B becomes 2 (keep in mind that for each step it eliminates the number form A) At this point A is empty and B=[1,0,0,0,1,2,0,1], so it goes through B: finds a 1 in position 1 and appends one "1" to A, finds 0 in position 2 3 and 4 and so it doesn't append anything to A, finds 1 in position 5 and appends one 5 to A, then it appends two 6 to A, and so on until it arrives to the end of B. At this point A is sorted. I'm sorry if this wasn't clear, I ain't so talented 😅
Imagine 5 year old building lego house, and when he finishes his dad comes in the room, hits lego house with bat and says "now build same house in different way"
This remember me we had to do this in art school. The teacher was like "ok you have one hour to make a drawing of a revolver cow-boy on a fire extinguisher horse" and then one hour after "alright, stop your drawing, same subject but draw it differently"
@@ChickenFinger50 The thing is, I don't think anybody cares. Imagine telling someone off because they corrected an honest mistake that someone else made just to get worthless internet points from people who agree with your opinion. Couldn't be me, ngl.
Whenever you're sorting data in Excel or looking for the most viewed vids in a youtube search, just remember your computer is using an algorithm just like these.
@@brendethedev2858 This is a bit late, but you could do one step better and run the actual program found here: github.com/w0rthy/ArrayVisualizer/releases

Don't let that get you down. Not everyone is going to appreciate the sounds you have to make to sort things, but those are the sounds it takes to get the job done.
These videos are always satisfying but its just a shame nobody has the courage to give us the hundred part thousand hour bogo sort timelapse we deserve.
