This is one of my favorites. John Miles has since died and I hope he was on hand to welcome Tina yesterday. He was a long time member of her band and had his own career as well. They made beautiful music together.
I love this interpretation of this classic song. It’s hard to believe this passion, voice and connection with her fans has been silenced. I’ve watched this too many times to count. And John Miles went before Tina.
I was talking to a friend in a pub in South Shields last night where John Miles was from. I was utterly dumbstruck when he told me that the great man had passed away December 5th last year. Thank goodness for CDs DVD'S and RU-vid. R.I.P Mr John Miles 😥
RIP John thanks for this superb performance together with Tina. I love Tina's songs but this is the best due to your vocal performance together with Tina. Your own song Music remains also one of my favourites. Living in Belgium I enjoyed your live performance of Music during the Night of the Proms many years ago. That song has been played every year the Night of the Proms was organized in Antwerp.
You said it! My husband booked the Big O for his freshman year frat dance. He knew can drivers and record store owners to make the hook up. This was New Orleans in the mid-sixties. He booked two shows, one at the Lambda Chi frat house at LSU in Baton Rouge, one on the “chitlin circuit” at the Pelican Club in Marksville, Louisiana. He said Otis hugged him around the neck whilst singing “Fa Fa Fa” at the dance. Said it was best hug ever-said Otis was huge, and my husband is no small or even medium man. Yes, there was film. The film shot burned in a fire at frat house years later. The shows were a highlight of his 78 (and still counting) years! This story and The Rolling Stones Wrap Party he planned and pulled off on a riverboat, tour managing the New Orleans Neville Brothers with the Uptown All-Stars across this nation, times hanging with Jimmy Buffett, Ringo Starr and wife Barbara Bach, 3:28 and lots of famous musicians plus not so famous musicians.Love this version as well of the classic Try a Little Tenderness. Now he didn’t meet Ms. Turner or Mr. Miles…😅
83 ans, après 1 jeunesse très dure, elle a énorment souffert. Elle a réussi malgré tout, sa vie de star de chanteuse. Sans oublier la perte de ses 2 fils. Sa + grande famille était son public. Les 2 autres fils (de Ike) qu'elle avait adoptés étaient en froid avec Tina. Elle restera à vie dans nos cœurs, paix à son âme.😢❤

Kenny Moore her pianist died while on tour in Australia in 1997. That's why you now see the two younger keyboard players. Kenny was known as the band's Ambassador!
