Me too! I don't remember the year but it was just after her come back. It truly was magical. I was captivated by her voice, dancing, looks, energy. Completely captivated.
And if anyone had had a reason to make excuses and give up on life it was her, yet she refused to let her circumstances predict her future. She’s an absolute inspiration to us all. Talk about a humble yet hard headed woman, and those legs!!!

I'm just so amazed of how she can hit certain notes and the range her voice go to...I have always loved this Lady Tina since the summer of 1984 when Private Dancer was released and she has still been one of my favorite female singers, I remember albums my mom had of her in the late 60's but her comeback was the best of all time!!

A month ago I had a deep craving to hear Let's Stay Together, I fell in Love with Al Green vocally when I was a young girl, because my momma loved him. So, quite naturally I loved him, and I would asked early in the week if I could be in control of playing the music on Saturday Morning cleaning up. I would put him on first and on repeat. So, when I became a teenager I re-fell in love with this song. And every time it came on in the car I would turn it up and start singing and back in those days, when we went to house parties this started playing and either I or my boyfriend would grab each other's hand and say this is our song. When Al Green came to town for a concert he said I'm getting tickets, but they are in the balcony on the 3rd row. We were young fresh out of high school and he didn't make that much money and he had a car note. When Al came down the aisle to throw roses to the ladies in the balcony, I asked if he mind if I go get one, he said no, you have always loved him. This lady had to weigh more than 200 lbs, I had always been small for my age growing up. When I graduated high school I weighed less than 100 lbs. This lady pushed me so hard, I almost flew over the bannister, if I had not caught myself I would have landed down below. My boyfriend had jumped up from the middle of the 3 row, people up there and below were screaming at the lady. Even, Al said lady I was throwing that rose to her. He said you already have one, then everybody started chanting you already have one. Give it to the girl. She said no and looked at me and said what you wanted do, cry? Then, Al asked my name and said that the next time he came to town, call the station and remind him and he will give me 2 dozen roses. But, I never called the next time he came. When I went to sit back down, my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go in case what that lady did embarrassed me. I thought my boyfriend and all the people upstairs were going to show her how it feels to be thrown or almost thrown over a bannister, because next to her I looked like a small child. I said all that to say. Nobody can do justice to this song, well, until I heard Tina sing it. The same way as Al does, Tina does as well. They make my heart smile and my spirit soar to the Stratosphere and back to me again. Thank You, Miss Tina Turner ❤
She was. A idol of mine I knew this woman was successful and respected that she got of the states. She found the love of her life too. I'm just sad her illness took her out. I also hate I never got to meet her she was a beautiful soul.
