Our 3 month trip to Benidorm with caravan, tolls, sites, eating out, Eurotunnel, diesel came out at £8000 ish :/ It's getting more expensive but we eat and drink out a lot. It's a very sociable lifestyle. Have booked again for this coming December, You inspired us! x
That’s not bad and if you enjoy it why not 😀 we loved the towing to Spain and we had our dog but now it’s nice for Mark to have a complete break as we live in caravan through the season.. no potty or water patrol in The Canaries 🙃 xx

Just info we’ve learnt over the years of doing this.. I write everything down so it’s good to refer back too, I also do projected forecasts to see how much we need to save over the 6 months.. no idea why I do this now never did before and I hated maths 😂

Interesting plans Judy and Mark. On Turkey, you are correct in that you are up the steep hill from Olu Deniz. However, when I was last there, dolmus (shared minibuses) were always travelling up and down. One benefit from leaving the EU is that U.K. tourists no longer need a visa to enter Turkey.
Yes we read re visa as always used to have to buy one at airport.. yes been many times to Turkey although think we last went about 10 years ago .. but do love Fethiye area the best stunning area and the lagoon it’s just fab
I’ve got a Cabin Max bag. It is fabulous ! In terms of your costs last year, it’s even less expensive when you think how much you would have spent at home, as you indicate. I too am looking at Tenerife flights from Manchester for end January. See you there!
Yes our cottage is old and very expensive to heat can do £10 of logs in a day probably not the ideal choice of home for doing this but we bought it before I’d had this idea of lifestyle.. but we do love the cottage but it can be a headache .. hold out till mid May for flights if it goes as last year did they should drop x

Good to hear from you both again.I always buy quality luggage,I learnt my lesson many years ago when I was young and naive,when I was travelling from Glasgow back to Yorkshire, with quite a lot of luggage,(I'd been away 7 months)My taxi arrived to take me to the train station,and to my horror,my suitcase handle came away!! with help I managed to get it taped up,to get me home via 2 trains..
Yes that’s happened to us with trolley bag in Tenerife airport handle came off as going down an escalator and bounced down to bottom .. hand luggage only now less bags less stress! We used to take 2 x 23kg 2 x trolley bags and 2 hand luggage and only wear half of it! Never again x
Still going back through your old ones and looking where we can go in July when we stay at Costa Teguise. Can't wait to visit Puerto Del Carmen and look around where you vlog! Let's hope the buses are reliable 😉😂
Hi the buses are reliable but do get very full at peak times .. car hire is reasonable and we use Cicar but book asap to secure good price online and pay when collect.. PDC has loads to offer especially old town.. enjoy yourselves x

Sounds like a military operation, but a lot more fun. We’re in Tenerife at the mo. Weather haas been great. Need to book for January 25. Chicken in Adeje last night. Car hire was incredibly cheap £75 for 16 days…
I know it’s have to write everything down or I can’t rem where we’re going on what date or from what airport! Can’t beat Adeje chicken up on the mountain… wow great car hire price who’s that with? X
Fair play John I’ve always tried to be good with money but I wish I’d started doing it sooner and not wasted money so much over the years but better late than never.. I rather like being a tight arse 😁

Just the basic ticket price with the free bag.. we’ve also learnt that EasyJet are best as they sit you together if you on one booking so you don’t have to buy a seat whereas Ryan air don’t so you feel obliged to buy a seat …scare tactics
I’ve tried rolling clothes but I don’t get on with that method although rolling Marks denim shorts etc helps. I iron it all flat and then fold flat and small.. flip flops at bottom.. we wear clothes we’d wear on holiday to travel in and pack a macs with deep pockets as we fill them up with plastic food bags with all phone charges plugs wires etc so saves room in rucksack.. try get all toiletries airside from Boots but tbh will just get them when we arrive this time x
I briefly worked in hotels...you would not believe how badly people treat other persons or businesses property. Sounds like a plan but keep in mind that Turkey is not Spain. I look forwards to the videos. Sadly will not be able to make it to Kennex this summer but I am no camper so it would be a day thing anyway.
I trained in Hotels as receptionist so worked for Hilton and yes I know too well the state people leaves rooms in … I see what they do to campsite facilities too .. I’m always ranting about it 😂
I was corporate before starting a business and was mainly in the booking and management side but yes, appauling. Shame to hear the same about your campsite!

It's one of our favourite places & l do like nice hotels overlooking the sea with private balcony plus we did go half board & paid extra for nice time flights/extra leg room seats/transfers & from Birmingham so we did have a lot of extras & had a fab time 😊
