You're supposed to work until you drop, pay taxes and consume things you dont need to impress people you dont care about. Thats what society demands and the government needs. Lovely to see people being "them" and living their lives as they wish. ❤
Congratulations to the new grandparents! Being parents/ grandparents keeps us in the UK as we would seriously think about living in Tenerife otherwise. I would definitely keep a house. Illness, retirement, Old age! It would be very stressful for me without a proper base to return to.

It is incredible how fast your summer work passes by! To get around the 90 days limit in the Eurozone it would be great to see you going a bit further afield - have you considered Morocco for instance - I loved Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, would be a great town to base yourselves for several weeks and an easy trip to Marrakesh from there. Or how about house and pet sitting? Friends have done this all over the world, but mainly in the Caribbean islands and Asia - free accommodation, look after a dog or cat, usually get free use of a vehicle thrown in as well. Or head to South East Asia for a few months - Vietnam is just amazing, as are the Phillipines and incredibly affordable once you land - flights just a bit more expensive from the UK. The possibilities are endless! Looking forward, in the mean time, to your next Canary Islands adventure. Congratulations on the grandy, and you are both looking slim and trim for the winter break ahead! Enjoy.
Sadly we have elderly parents one of whom is very poorly now so going further afield is not something we can do just yet but it's certainly on the bucket list xx

Friends' wedding are mostly a no-no for me too, working mostly as a wedding musician - I'm out working on almost all prime wedding dates. Just goes with the lifestyle.
We still own our House, my husband works 2-2,5 weeks a month, and i dont work. Last yr we spend time in el medano and Las Galletas while you stayed in golf sur. We Will Go 5 weeks from Dec and more weeks in 2024. Fortunately we are EU citizens and Can Go When WE want and as often as we want to Husband Will work 8 more yrs Then we Will do more time in Tenerife in the winter together , until Then WE Will share the time between our House in the Eu country and Tenerife
