Kickstarting my 2023 Declutter / Inventory series with a bang and one of my favourite product categories: LIPSTICKS!
And because I am a HUGE fan of lipsticks; this is a collection that usually gets out of hand very fast. At the time of filming this, I had 160+ lipsticks in my collection (I am very confident that this is missing 15-20 lipsticks across my bags and suitcases) and given that it has been a while, I tried to be as ruthless as possible. I go through each of these lipsticks to figure what to keep, what to give away and what to throw away.
I personally find declutters a great way to re familiarize myself with my collection and introspect on my makeup consumption. I also love watching these kinds of videos on youtube; so I hope you will too! Please don't consider this a flex (it isn't!) and I know this is WAY more than one person needs; fully aware.
Few clarifications:
1. I only threw away lipsticks that have gone bad / expired and therefore not safe to use. Everything else will be passed on to close friends; should they want them ♥️
2. Shade references for my skintone as follows:
NC 42 in MAC's Powder Fix Foundation compact
3W2 Cashew - Estee Lauder Double wear foundation
420 G Toffee - Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation
Shade 12 - Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop blurring skin tint
Shade B50 - Chanel Les Beiges skin tint
3. Given the number of lipsticks, it is hard for me to include product links for all the lipsticks mentioned here. But let me know if having product links would be helpful; will plan to include them depending on feedback!
