Dr Cellini, you are my son’s favourite RU-vid doctor, he even wants to be an IR specialist now, hahaha, he’s only 9, so things can change fast, but he certainly prefers you more than lots other doctors on RU-vid.
Dr. Cellini you're the first doctor to introduce me to IR and the more I learn about it the more interested I get in pursuing it! Thanks for all the videos.
Glad you had such an easy week, it doesn’t happen often. I’m in the UK, so it seems strange with so many places open. Good to have a reminder that life goes on outside of your little bubble.
PA student here, I love your content!! Would love to see more videos incorporating basics of radiology for students, or classic findings in major disease processes that you see a lot of (ex. hampton hump/westermark sign in CXR of PE) . Thank you!!
I wasn’t early this time because I was preparing for my upcoming semester that starts tomorrow, but I’m very excited to watch this video! Great content as always!
do more of these vlogs!! they’re always so interesting to me even if you’re not busy & just hanging out at the hospital. it seems like it’s fun for you too
I get how you feel a bit safer after getting the first dose. I worked on the covid station in december 2020 where no vaccines were yet avaible. Now that I already got all three shots I feel way safer when being around positive patients.
Thank you for what you have been doing on the holidays. I fell bad that you have to work on the holidays. I am mad that I have to wear a mask and learning online you do more I love you guys
Please make a video on risk of potential accidental & long term radiation hazard dangers in the field of General & interventional Radiology. This is my main concern while choosing Radio as a specialty. Otherwise it's a very attractive branch.
I work at a hospital in MRI and I was talking to one of our IR doctors about what I need to do to become an IR doctor. Anyways, I told him about you and your channel and funny thing is that he said he knows you and you both went to the same place in New York or something like that. His name is Doctor Paul O’Connor . I was like whoa what a small world lol we both chuckled haha
Early bird gets the worm! Actually I don’t know how that works with RU-vid since the video stays up haha. But definitely awesome content to catch up on!
This was so interesting! How prevalent are clotting disorders in pts with Covid? Is it a rare occurrence or do you regularly treat pts with this disorder? Are the clots typically located in the lungs? Thank you for your dedication anf hard work!
When you get a call you think is non emergent are you one of those grumpy Drs Nurses love to hate and feel under-appreciated by? You seem like a nice guy so I hope the answer is No. sure enjoy your videos. Thank you for your service and care to others! Watching from Middle GA!
Being covid positive stinks. I am on my second bout with this monster. I am so sad I cannot get the vaccine this month :( Stay safe Doc! Us patients appreciate you
Hello Dr. Cellini, what do you think about the plan to release all of the vaccine doses? Is there a risk that many folks won't be able to get their second dose? Thanks.
A lot of it is related to the clotting disorders in a lot of covid pts. DVT or PE lysis/thrombectomy, and or IVC filter placement. Also, sick pts needing biliary intervention or abscess drains just happen to have covid concurrently. Zero symptoms 3 weeks out from vaccine
That usually depends on the institution where you’re at and the attending you’re under. At many places the senior residents can do the surgery alone if the attending is within a certain distance and has ok’d it etc. And then of course as mentioned, the attending has to be ok with it because it’s under their license. There’s attendings that will let the first year do the whole procedure and attendings that will only let the senior resident retract. It’s highly variable. And as for teaching, in a teaching setting, everyone is expected to train those under them in some capacity.
How do you become a Dr In the states? Currently on route in the UK. Interesting how you guys differ from us? Have you heard of Ninja Nerd Science - great teacher for doctors . Was wondering what your opinion of him was, too. Love your work ethic. Keep it up!
4 years of undergraduate college taking the required pre med courses, then take the MCAT (acceptance exam), 4 years of medical school, residency (anywhere from 3-7+ years), then fellowship if needed
So glad you're getting the vaccine! I got my second vaccine on Thursday passed and I had a sore are for 48 hours which made sleeping a nightmare so I was super tired the next day but that's it I'm completely fine now :) just incase you're at all worried about your second dose! Hopefully this is the start to a brighter future ahead :)
@@ForeverAlexMcC 8 hours past injection and no symptoms yet! 3 hours till my shift starts! Really don’t want to be treating patients with covid feeling like I have covid haha.. but hey maybe it’ll increase my empathy 😋
@@chosenone5346 hey that’s super cool haha I hope you enjoyed! And hope you get that MCAT scare you need and all that terrible studying is in the post soon!!
At what point do y’all stop adding hours and just say this many days in the video title? 😂 I gotta do some serious mental math dividing 168 by 24 to figure out how long you’re on call haha
I'm offended that you do not think drain tubes are not life and death because when my father's bile duct was blocked it was life and death and you acted like it was nothing.
