Damn, I wasn't expecting this so soon. I think the Divertissement speaks for itself so I'll just say three things (just one comment this time I promise): I was honestly expecting the title for this video to be something like "THE GODDESS RETURNS! ...Oh and Lloyd too I guess." You know what would be a great song to play for the Lloyd and Rean fight? Battle Against a True Hero! (Or maybe that would be more appropriate if you were fighting Lloyd.) Fun fact I only recently heard from Kondo's latest interview by NISA at Anime Expo: he explicitly talks about CS2, and apparently the ONLY reason for EVERYTHING after the initial ending (so the Divertissement + Epilogue) was because they had a song left over that they felt didn't fit the original credits and they wanted a second set of credits to play that song over. Hope you enjoyed the song "Season of Departure" You played a full ten extra hours of content for it!

So once the final dungeon is open (it should be very obvious it's the final dungeon), there is an NG+ only cutscene that becomes available. It's important to see that before CS3, but if possible it would also be nice to react to it in the Funny Moments in sequence. If you search "NG+ cutscene cold steel 2" it should be the first one (slightly under 10 minutes).

At first there were only four Geofront sectors, all four of them corresponding to one of the four primary elements, as was seen in Azure when Mariabell concentrated energy from all four of them. But the convenient thing about the Geofront is that whenever you need a new dungeon in Crossbell, they can just slap on another previously unexplored sector of it and nobody's gonna nitpick too much about it. There are two reasons Falcom slipped Rixia into this segment instead of one of the SSS' core cast and as others noted, those reasons will keep growing in size with every installment she appears in. Because that shit's easier to do in 3D and Falcom is horny. (on a more serious note, Rixia was probably considered more marketable to Falcom when they developed this segment) If you go back into the room where Lloyd and Rixia were talking to Cao, there was actually a issue of the Crossbell Times lying there that you could pick up and read. If you missed it, I suggest going back for it and having a look. Lloyd doesn't have his impeding stun-breaker craft any longer (impede now being assimilated into his Spin craft), as well as his Encourage and Rixia lost her Quigong powerup (though her Moonlight Butterflies craft buffs her speed and by extention her damage output due to her master quartz) and her deathblow-causing Exploding Talisman. (Cold Steel doesn't really do much single-target crafts anymore) Legacy characters losing crafts in their journey into 3D (and several crafts being conflated) is kind of a recurring issue. Maybe due to animation budget constraints for characters who aren't with you during most of the game. In all honesty, Lloyd's always been a weird dodge tank anyway because his kit isn't particularly suited for it. (his weapons giving Eva bonuses in Azure felt kind of random) Good dodge tanks generally have a good range-stat so they can retaliate against monsters who flick stuff at them as well as a move to increase their evasion. (like Sara, who's pretty much built for the role) Lloyd, from this point on, is much more of a facetank whose buff can help him survive stuff rather than dodge it. That said, I think they went with Rising Sun rather than Meteor Breaker because it's slightly more iconic. Lloyd only got Meteor Breaker very late into the last game he starred in, while he had Rising Sun for pretty much 1.5 games or so. At least Estelle and Joshua got Wheel of Time and Phantom Raid late into SC and got to spend the entirity of 3rd with those as their signature ultimates. Well, we got to this part. This Divertissement chapter is one of the things that people who argue that it's best to play all Trails games in order will often bring up. It's essentially an hour-long middle finger to anyone who didn't play Zero and Azure. It stars people who never got more than a passing reference in the 3D games, if even that. As you noted, it happily namedrops every character of note of the Crossbell duology and several noteworthy events as well, which brings a smile to those who know and an annoyed "I see what you're doing here"-cringe from those who don't. The emotional impact of Lloyd and Rean facing off is severely blunted when Lloyd is just a random guest character to the player, rather than a hero who you spent two whole games helping get over barriers. The "don't bother with Sky, play this shiny new game first"-discussion will remain for as long as Trails remains accessible, but us "Gatekeepers" will always have Divertissement in our corner.

Congratulations, you've reached the Divertissement, where Lloyd, Rixia, and Crossbell as a whole made their first official appearance in English. Yeah, it is weird to hear them in English after listening to the Japanese actors throughout Zero and Azure. Wish that the English releases had a dub, but what can you do? And yeah, as others have mentioned, the "Purple Devil of Crossbell" refers to the Aion Type Beta that Kevin wrecked his Merkabah to destroy back in Azure. Anyways, looking forward to the rest of your Cold Steel II playthrough.

And this intermission is one reason why Cold Steel 2 can't really be played out of order. As you saw yourself, Barrier Boy is back and here with a mission. Sure, you can start here. But you might get frustrated for suddenly having to fight Rean and there are some people who are really weirdly attached to Rean. Like this one guy who said he can't play any sections where Rean isn't playable for whatever reasons. But personally, I loved that Lloyd had Force and CP accessories, so I could just spam Burning Heart and Brave Smash all over the place. And yes, the Crossbell characters speak English now. Btw, something you will notice the farther you get in the series: With each new entry falcom keeps increasing Rixias breast size. Like, every game she stars in, her boobs just keep getting bigger. Also, another fun fact: Lloyd has the same VA as Akechi form Persona 5 and I heard he plays Lloyd really well in all of the English dubbed games he appears in. I hope you are enjyoing Cold Steel 3 so far. I want to finish chapter 3 of Azure this week and then jump back into Harvestella once I beat the game. I grinded a whole bunch of Sepith via combo crafts and almost unlocked every single slot, made some good Quartz and finally bought that evergreen. Now I just need that damn evade 3 Quartz and Lloyd will be untouchable. A fully decked out car is perfect for grinding Sepith btw. I do hope you watched that new game+ cutscene on RU-vid. Cold Steel 3 expects you to have seen it. Enjoy your sunday.

So today, we'll start the post-game. - Before we start talking about everything that happens after, I want to get this debate out of the way; many people ( yourself included) thought that the game should've ended on the Finale and that the Divertissement and Epilogue were unnecessary and drawn out, and while I can understand the sentiment of being burnt out (we did try to warn you about it) by this point since you're expecting the game to end, on a replay of this game, I can't help but heavily disagree; both of those are incredibly important, the former for showing something we were all curious about after seeing the ending of Azure, and the latter as a conclusion for Class VII and their school year, and how they fare after the war and the traumatic experiences they suffered through; I'll explain how they are great in their respective video, but I just wanted to say that the game is better for having these sections instead of them being cut and leaving on a cliffhanger...... Again. - So we start by being thrown 3 months later, March 1205, on a skirmich between the imperial and republican army over at Crossbell, Erebonia seem to have incorporated the Soldats into their strategies with the tanks, giving them an advantage in battle; when the republican army talks about the purple devil of Crossbell, they refer to the Aion type β, the one that decimated their forces during the invasion of Crossbell and was destroyed by Kevin and his merkabah, and it was the more mobile out of the bunch, so yeah, they're right when they said that the Soldats are nothing compared to that and can be handled more easily, and that's where Rean and Valimar comes into play and pluck their airships out of the sky, it's quite shocking to see Rean ACTIVELY participating in conquering Crossbell alongside the army and defending it against Calvard, it doesn't feel right since Rean wouldn't tolerate such action under normal circumstances, much less participating in them, but that's because we don't have all the context m, but it does a great job setting the mood a'd how Rean will be viewed by everyone in this section. - As an aside, I want to talk about something you said during that segment: that few people actually died due to the Civil War; you're not the only one who made this criticism, the fandom does it as well, however, I'd like to ask all of you: who did you wanted to die during this war ? The army ? Even if all the named characters we know are in the army died, it still wouldn't be much; because most characters and NPCs we see in these games are civilians who shouldn't die because of this war; or are you asking for more civilians to have died in this war ? Because wasn't that the whole point of Olivier's third faction and Class VII touring the country and interfering ? To prevent civilians from being caught up in the conflit between the two factions ? Are you saying that they shouldn't have been successfull in their endeavors ? But it doesn't matter anyway because this point is moot, 1: the war wasn't bloodless at all, including the deaths you already mentioned, there was also the arson of Celdic which was quite the big deal, and the western front, which was said to be cuttthroat with civilians being caught in the crossfire, the reason we didn't see this in the east is because Rufus (who was in charge of this front) pushed the front on the edges of the country away from cities, which brings up to my 2: Osborne and Rufus clearly manipulated this war into playing out the way it did, ending it with as few casualties as possible while discrediting the noble cause from the inside; which means it was INTENTIONAL from the start, this is why I recommend replaying this game at least once after you learn the truth about Rufus, because with the renewed context, you notice the hidden strings behind this war; in fact, I mentionned in a previous video at one point that the priest at Ymir had something interesting to talk about, well, he says that despite the situation of the country seeming chaotic, there's a small degree of order to it, almost as if it's taking place in a clearly defined framework, that all of this plays out according to someone's design...... Yep, this guy predicted back then the true nature of this war and that someone was manipulating it from the shadows, in this case, Osborne and Rufus, it's something that only clicks on a NG+ when you already know the truth, and it's these details that makes these games so good. But yeah, all in all, I don't think it's a problem for this war to not have many "important" characters dying because it's intentional by design, and the ones that DID die made it all the more tragic and emotional and served to further Rean and Class VII's growth. - Back to Crossbell, we change the voice of our main character from Sean Chiplock to Robbie Daymond, whom you may recognize as Akechi from Persona 5, retelling the events that happened in Crossbell for the past few month, and WE GET TO SEE CROSSBELL In FULL 3D, WOOOO!!!!! It's these details that made it worth it, they modeled the central square and station street, as well as the NPCs models, for just this one scene, was it necessary ? No; is it great ? Absolutely. And we get to see Osborne delivering his speech at Orchis Tower, calling out Crossbell for their "sins" against the empire while graciously "forgiving" them for it and welcoming them among his nation (this man has such a way with words, he's a master at the political game), and he present to them their first governor general: Rufus Albarea (you can also see Lechter in the background of the speech); and with that, the annexation of Crossbell into the Erebonian Empire is official...... And we don't like this one bit. - We also get to see the Crossbell news service, as well as Grace and Reins in full 3D; this scene serves to show how Osborne and Rufus are seen by the general populace; they're both charismatic as hell and I can't blame them, it's the reason why they were both popular in their respective parties, not to mention that they haven't done anything outright evil, but we'll get back to that; also as a reminder, Reins is a part of Richard's agency, that was revealed back in Azure in a secret scene. - Ahhhhh, I was waiting for your reaction to this, Lloyd and Rixia in full 3D! I think it's something none of us ever expected to see in a game called Cold Steel 2....but it also means since these games were released in the west way before the Crossbell ones, that people had no idea who the fuck these people are and what's going on, thankfully that problem will fade away with Crossbell finally being localized, but it doesn't change that a lot of people's (myself included) first experience with Lloyd and Crossbell were this section. Anyway, we get to see Cao as well and their mission is to explore the Geofront E sector (which wasn't in the Crossbell games, it went through A to D last time) and reach the terminal at the depth. - Before continuing, I want to talk about the "Achilles heel" moment, I'm surprised it tooked you this long to notice, those are little inconsistencies that ultimately doesn't matter, but shouldn't exist in the world they live in; it's mostly in expression or word that we take for granted; like Hell who should normally be replaced by Gehenna, there's a dish named French fries, which implies that French exist in the trails world, or Hamburger, which comes from the name Hambourg, a german town, so germany also exist in the trails world, but my greatest exemples of this is the fact that they created an entirely new calendar, but kept the same months as us, which is strange because the months were named after Roman gods and emperor, implying that Italy and the Roman empire exists in the trails world; all of these errors comes from expressions and words we normally use that logically shouldn't exist in this world because of their origins, but I don't blame them for making it, keeping track for everything that needs to be coherent like this would be a nightmare, and like I said, these detail s ultimately doesn't matter, I prefer little inconsistencies like this than big ones within the same world. - And we get to play as Lloyd and Rixia too and going through a dungeon with them with Get Over the Barrier as a battle track, didn't expect this to pop out again didn't you ? And with the same craft as in Crossbell, and the reason for Rising Sun to be Lloyd's S-craft instead of Meteor Breaker is the same reason as for why Estelle's S-craft in the future will be Wheel of Time instead of Phoenix Wave like in Zero, because it's more iconic; I don't think it's because it'd be too hard to animate, you have Millium in space during her S-craft so it's definitely feasible.
@stratfor140
@stratfor140 27 дней назад
- There's a bunch of stuff you cut out of the video; I'll start with the newspaper, this one will be especially juicy to compare with the next one we'll get in the Epilogue; it's a Crossbell Times issue talking about the occupation when it happened on January 14th (compared to now where it's March 9th), about how Mayor MacDowell and many Crossbellans treat this annexation as a funeral for their state, which is quite true, it much be especially hard for the mayor who spend many years fighting against the congressmen of both superpowers so that Crossbell can be treated as a nation, only for it to be absorbed into the empire because of all the shit that happened in Azure; let's talk about that then, the newspaper spend a good portion of its pages trying to answer a political question that has a lot of room for debate: were Erebonia's actions and subsequent invasion of Crossbell justified ? They break down everything that happened in Azure (including the part where Erebonia attempted to fire the Railway guns at Crossbell, which if you started with Cold Steel, is the first time you hear about this, showing how the Empire's propaganda is strong into portraying them as victims in this whole thing), people in the fa dom have debated on this question, from a morality standpoint, the answer is clearly no, however, you can argue that Erebonia are exercising their rights as sovereign state to conquer a rogue nation who went bonkers on everyone, which is technically true, even if they tried to make up for it afterwards by arresting Dieter and taking down the Aions and Azure Tree, it was too late by this point, Crossbell failed the moment they let Dieter do whatever he wanted to force the continent to acknowledge Crossbell's independance, they stained their international image by pulling this shit and they ripped the consequences of it, before that,Liberl and Remiferia and even Arteria probably could've put pression to keep Crossbell from being invaded, but with the stunt they pulled, there's no defending that and Erebonia has every reasons to do that, also there's a matter of protection against Calvard as well, which as we saw, was the primary concern of the imperial army for ending the war quickly, with Garrelia Fortress gone and unable to serve as a B a r r i e r , if Calvard invades Crossbell, they can use it as a staging area to invade the Empire in turn and there's nothing to stop them, so Erebonia occupied Crossbell to protect themselves from Calvard by occupying Tangram Gate and fighting the republic from there as we saw in the intro; the evidences against Crossbell are damning, but let's not act as if Erebonia is innocent in all of this, we talked about this at length in Azure, but Erebonia alongside Calvard are responsible for a bunch of nasty stuffs that happened in these games, notably the laxative government incapable of pulling reforms quickly, their manipulations to force their agendas unto them as we saw in the Trade Conference, and of course their past intelligence feuds that caused a number of accidents and was the motivation for a bunch of characters to do what they did, mainly Grimwood, Arios and Noel, these things are why Crossbell were supportive of Dieter, some even after the reveal of the Aions which is where we can confidently say was the point where they've gone too far, heck even Dieter's motivations were directly related to this, he had enough of the dick measuring contest of the superpowers, which is why he wanted to unify Zemuria and the idea of justice; the firing of the railway guns by the empire for exemple is also an argument for how the empire didn't needed to go that far, but you can also argue that they had sent their tanks first, and only once they were destroyed, fired the railway gun and deliberately avoided areas crowded with civilians; while the argument for Crossbell from an emotional standpoint is understandable, it also can't be denied also that their response was overexcessive and that to be fair, Erebonia and Calvard gave them plenty of warnings that were all refused by Dieter because of his trump card, the moral scale has tipped to Erebonia for this invasion; however, the reinvasion and annexation was another thing entirely, we spent an entire Finale in Azure correcting the wrongs of Dieter, including invalidating the declaration of independence; while I wouldn't say Crossbell should've gotten off scot free, there needed to be consequences of Dieter's actions under Crossbell's name, their attempt to put things right by toppling the dictatorship and taking responsibility for it definitely should've been taken into consideration too, Erebonia's invasion was too sudden and excessive when it was clearly made aware that Crossbell didn't have their WMD any longer and were defenseless, they were also ready to accept retribution, so the moral thing to do was probably to let the international opinion decide Crossbell's fate, at least that would've been fair and done with the accord of everyone, but instead Erebonia decided "oh, it's free real estate, yoink!" and took it for themselves (even if there was the matter of protecting themselves like we talked about earlier, but as we also saw in the Finale, Osborne intended to invade Crossbell as soon as the war was done, so he probably wouldn't have even listened had they asked for negotiations). So yeah, all in all, with all the things that happened and the different ideologies at play, this is an extremely complicated situation where the line of legality and excessiveness are blurred, to the point where Erebonia can allow themselves to do this without being called into question, does Crossbell deserved punishment for their actions ? Definitely; did they deserved to end as a nation and being conquered ? Hmmmm..... I presented plenty of arguments for both sides, so it's extremely nuanced, however, if there's one thing I think we can agree on, it's that Erebonia took advantage of the situation to claim these lands without consulting the international community, even if they were in their right as Sovereign state, so for the question of "were Erebonia's actions and invasion justified?" I think it's safe to say that it wasn't, but there needs to be a big asterisk alongside it because it's clearly not black and white........... Did I just spend two hours talking about the political situation of two fictional countries ? Yes, yes I did. Also, as we saw at the start of the Divertissement and as said by Lloyd on the recap, the republican army has been invading Crossbell since Erebonia took control of it, and it's still ongoing two months later, the ashen knight was mentionned as the most powerful weapon of the imperial army to bring the conflict to a swift end, and it ends with an editor's note regarding Crossbell's situation, how it will contested and be argued upon for years to come and encouraging the reader to keep thinking, feeling, and dreaming for a better future regardless of what happens. - Let's go back to Lloyd and Rixia, during the dungeon, they will have these little conversation in order to keep us up to speed and potentially answer some of our questions, for exemple, their first answer two that you posed : "how did the two of them got their hands on ARCUSes?" Michel got it for them (and yes, it's Michel, not Michael), and " did we visit this sector?" no, it was a sector hidden from the general public by corrupt politicians and diet members to hide their deeds here, at least according to Elie and it was just one of its use; funny enough, the vent scene logically changes depending on who you're controlling, since for you it was Rixia, Lloyd get to see her........ You know 😏, and when he's in the lead, he's glad he's going through first because of her outfit; the second answers your earlier question on "why is it only Rixia with Lloyd?" Because the imperial army began to keep watch on everyone, Randy being the first one, then followed by Elie and Noel, make sense since they're pretty important figures, be it of the Crossbell's government or the CGF, and probably Tio as well, which made sure to keep Lloyd a'd KeA out of trouble for the time being, KeA being in hiding right now with Arios and Shizuku, so that's why he's with Rixia right now, because everyone else was unavailable; the third references the times Lloyd got nearly blown up by the mines of the Mainz tunnel and when they got also attacked by Gareth in Mainz when they were looking for Randt in the Finale, just to show that her instinct are usually sharp, however she has the sense that whatever's coming is far beyond her capabilities (and based on what we see later, she was most likely feeling the Ashen Knight); also, I like that they the consistency of the bestiary, in this dungeon, you can find the typical monsters of Crossbell instead of the ones in Erebonia, like the fat bats, the cleaning robots and the big ass mosquitos. - And now that they've reached the terminal room, time to talk about their mission, like Cao said earlier, this is the place where all the informations of Crossbell gathers, it contain a tons of data, whether on the citizens, transactions, or even Geofront layout; which means of course that if the imperial army get their hands on it, it would be big trouble, the resistance cannot afford to let them have these informations if they want to liberate Crossbell, so the plan is to wipe the data off the net using an initialization unit so theat the army can't use it, but it's not going to be easy.......
@stratfor140
@stratfor140 27 дней назад
- Just as we start, who shows up but our buddy Rean with Altina in tow to stop the initialization, I like what they did with Rean in this moment, for starters, him working with Altina, one of the antagonist of this game, already makes you uncomfortable, but it's also how he's viewed as an antagonist by the people we're currently controlling: Lloyd and Rixia, who don't know everything he went through; and yeah, like you said, it's the meeting of the protagonists of the last arc and current arc, who fights each other because they have conflicting goals, one fight for the Crossbell resistance, the other for the invading forces, you compared this encounter with pokemon and the battle of Red VS Ethan in mont Silver, but for me, this is the other reason I call this game "Trails of Cold Steel: Civil War" beside the more obvious Civil War, because of the two heroes fighting each other because of conflicting goals when they could've been best friends had they met under different circumstances. The fight against both of them needs to be feasible, even on Nightmare, so the game gave you all that you need in the dungeon earlier to get through it, notably equipement that protects you from the delays of Rean's craft, as well as other potential deadly ailments, while Rean and Altina only have 50 on sleep and Faint, making it easy to inflict them with it thanks to Rixia's Falling Moon and gathering Criticals and BPs, as well as inflicting delays thanks to the Impede quartzs and Zeus Gem you got earlier, however they can still catch you by surprise of you aren't careful, they are linked so they can do follow-ups and rushes, but also, they can use their S-crafts, Rean's Termination Slash Dawn in particular is pratically a guaranteed wipe on higher difficulties (and is probably the reason the game gave an Adamantine Shield quartz in Lloyd's build). - After this skirmich, Rean decides to enter Mean status, but before he could do so the initialization is completed, so it's the victory of Lloyd and Rixia, but Rean doesn't hear it that way and calls upon Valimar to completely destroy the terminal (which is something Lloyd wanted to keep intact) in order to split their losses and he let them go after they exchange their names, it hurts a bit to hear Rean presenting himself not as student and member of Class VII, but as a military officer instead; so yeah, Rean failed in his mission, but it's not the end of the world for Lechter, and while Lloyd's mission was technically a success, they also realize that they escaped by a hair's breadth and only because Rean allowed them to, I like that they compare Valimar with the things they know like the Aions or the Archaisms, but Also to the Soldats they discovered recently, and that Llyod feels like there's more to it than just that (not a detective for nothing) he then goes to do a bunch of namedrop and finish it by throwing the B-word at us. Rean on the hand, goes back to the motherland this afternoon by train, refusing to take the Eisengraf back to talk to a certain someone (you can probably guess who), saying Goodbyes to Altina with whom he seem to be more acquainted with since then, and throws out there that he's jealous of Lloyd and Rixia..... Probably because they fight for something they actually believe in while Rean helps the imperial army at conquering Crossbell, something he's not happy with, but we'll get back to Rean's mindset in the next section. - And that's it for the Divertissement ; all in all, that was quite the interesting section that allowed us to view Erebonia's actions, and Rean's in particular, through another perspective, the one of Lloyd's and Crossbell's, a good change of pace and subversion to remind us how Erebonia is viewed by other countries, which we could've forgotten after 2 games of rubbing shoulders with the dorks of Class VII. We'll get back to thel next time though, and there'll be plenty to talk about.

So yeah Crossbell and Cold Steel 1-2 both spoil each other. If you play Crossbell first you know who wins the civil war, hints at the black workshop, Osborne getting shot at the end of CS1 and that Osborne is alive for CS2. If you play Cold steel first you see Garrelia getting blown up, the Azure tree,some text and image that spoil Dieter but this bit could get glossed over and Rixia's identity but not the full context of each event. I played both in order the first time around (Geofront) and did a run with Cold steel first before playing Official Crossbell and it's really interesting how these two arcs are written.
@jmporkbob
@jmporkbob Месяц назад
I think it's very obvious what should be the play order. Crossbell "spoils" Cold Steel by saying that Osborne is shot and a Civil War starts, and by also saying that Osborne survives. But those scenes were clearly written with the expectation that you know that. So if you play in correct order, knowing Osborne gets shot is NOTHING with the shotgun of other twists peppered around it. We have WHO does the shooting. We have Vita as an anguis. We have Sharon as an enforcer. We have the Valimar reveal. Maybe a couple others I'm not thinking of. And then the Osborne surviving "twist" also has Rufus as a double agent, Rufus as an Ironblood, Osborne taking over the Phantasmal Blaze plan, Osborne being Rean's father. In the reverse order, the things that Cold Steel spoils about Crossbell do nothing but take away the twists because they weren't written with you knowing them in mind, so there aren't other things sprinkled in to keep you on your toes and surprise you. And the further you go into Cold Steel, the more it takes away, until the end of Reverie when it has spoiled literally every twist from Crossbell.

Am I the only one who absolutely hates the Divertissement? Cold Steel was my introduction to Trails (for the record, Zero/Azure weren't even localized yet so I couldn't have played them first even if I wanted to) so suddenly having my perspective wrenched from Rean, who was at the lowest point in his life so far, to some random dude I have literally never heard of before, and then being forced to *fight* Rean, completely ruined the storytelling for me. I still hate Lloyd as a character to this day because of it, it is the ONLY reason Cold Steel II isn't my favorite Trails game, and being able to skip it on NG+ is its only saving grace.

As someone who also started with Cold Steel, I kind of really liked it actually. A switch of perspective to show how the rest of the world can see those characters and Erebonia here felt rather eye-opening and fun. Seeing the kind of shit Rean needs to deal with throughout the whole annexation make you feel for him more as well. This section also finally got me to realize that there's a whole franchise out there and Cold Steel was not the first game in the series (I kind of just found it randomly online and decided to jump in so I had no context at that time). Overall makes for a nice teaser to what you can expect/look forward to in the other games. That all, and Rixia is hot af, staring at her the entire time made this section of the game really enjoyable.
