2017 Camaro SS with Speed Engineering 1" 7/8 long tube headers, ProFab high flow catalytic converters, 3" x pipe, Corsa Extreme mufflers, Rotofab Cold Air Intake.
I’m getting the same setup tomorrow , got corsa extremes on my c7 and getting speed Engineering headers on , only difference is that it will be catless, might post a video of it
Yes check engine light came up later that day since I was just using the front o2 sensors instead of all 4. The car was tuned that weekend and haven't had check engine light since.(5months in)
Yes that is correct. Speed engineering doesn't offer a header kit with high flow cats. I would always run catless in my previous cars (5th 4th gens) but having these high flow cats really reduced the exhaust fumes, and gave the exhaust note more 'sound' instead of just loud noise.
@@LuisSalazar-ge2xw That definitely makes sense. I can see why you went that route. I had catless long tubes on a 5th gen I had and the fumes were terrible. Which high flow cats did you get?
I ordered these through ebay. The brand is Fab-Pros. They are great quality stainless steel body, 3"x7.25" so they are able to fit in most tight spaces, and I believe they run for $60 each.
@@LuisSalazar-ge2xw Perfect I found them. Going with high flow cats vs straight pipe do you still get alot of deceleration crackle and pops like the 5th gen with no cats?
Cool you're gonna love them. I notice the crackles and pops on lower rpm decelerations, haven't really floored it/high rpms. I guess I'll find out when I go to the race track, gonna need some drag radials though lol.
From headers to mid pipes are speed engineering, I then added high flow cats to the mid pipes since they dont offer them in the kit, and from the axles back is corsa.
@@LuisSalazar-ge2xw because I got the axle back coming soon and I'm thinking going with the SE header like u but the only one thing I'm concerned is how is the fitment from header to Corsa is it fit?
Both Corsa, and SE kits are NOT compatible, the Corsa is meant to bolt on to factory mid pipes, and the SE mid pipes are meant to bolt on to the factory exhaust. I ran through this issue, but had a local muffler shop piece them together.
Headers have held up surprisingly well, no cracked welds or leaks in a year and 7mth of owning them. Only complaint would be the supplied clamps as they tend to get lose with time. Have re tighten them twice so far. I would suggest getting thicker band clamps. Overall I’m happy with them, they make good power and sound great without breaking the bank.
I ordered them from ebay, the company that makes them is fab pros. I believe they run for like $60 each. Took them to a local muffler shop and had them welded in the speed engineering mid pipes so it still be bolted on.
Only issue I ran into is the corsa exhaust doesn't bolt on the speed engineering mid pipes, as they are the same 3" diameter. I coupled them with a piece of pipe. Other than that I have no complaints 3 months in.
