1* Thank you 2* No Theta Sentinel? The guy is already the bastard child for the writers and even the youtubers dont like 3* I Always called Karima of Kamira,i feel soo dumb
If Nimrod the greater and Sentinels teamed up with Ultron, it would be an alternate dimension where everyone dies and most likely go in to space after they were done and merge with the Phalanx. After that, that universe would have severe problems
I was disappointed they didn't explore Nimrod's growth & questioning his own programming. At the end, I remember him cheering on the Xmen as he struggled inside Master Mold before they both fell into the Siege Perilous.
Sentinels were really a nice addition to the X universe and they did it a few different ways to starting with the originals going to Nimrod and beyond. Fun watch
They were part of the X universe since the OG comics... only the movies (and relatively new comic retcons) made them an addition. Hate-mongering anti-mutants needed a bigger weapon to threaten mutants than being the equivalent of knives & bear-skins fighters taking on laser-beams and psionics enemies. Without the Sentinels, every struggle the early-edition Marvel mutants would have would be only the X-Men fighting the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, with everyone else in the background hiding in their basements until they stopped. The biggest nice thing about Marvel is that their writers did their best to try to make their canon believable, no matter how fantastic.
15:22 I watched this video before he X-Men 97 animates series came out... and this guy went from an interesting design of a variant to a HOLY SHIT THAT MONSTER!!!
Nimrod was a monster he easly beat and almost killed Juggernaut! If he was close to a loss he teleported away and repaired himself and he learned from evry battle so you could never trick him with the same tactic twice! He could give world war hulk a good run!
We have Doom sentinels now, I've seen doctor doom just created some to fight the X men mutants if they ever step outta line on his island in the comics.
One thing in the Marvel universe(s) I couldn't understand was why did mutants get so much racial hate while meta-humans did not. When there's a universe with so many superpowers you'd think that there wouldn't be so much hate against one thing, especially when there's no real difference between characters like the Hulk and the Juggernaut.
Just like real life, hate isn't logical. Propaganda based on a few men's vendetta is the reason why mutants are hated and meta humans are celebrated. Mutants also sew envy in humans and feelings of inferiority that some are born better and there's nothing that can be done about it, and knowing how humans would treat others if they had such an advantage makes them project ill will and "replacement" onto mutants.
Someone once brought up the point that it does makes sense because racism doesn't make sense with the unpleasant desire to oust those different from ourselves.
@@MrEndstage it's not simply ousting people that are different, racism is inextricable from the money, whether it's using illogical racist lies to justify pillaging and colonizing foreign lands and people or the illogical racist lies that keep poor white people distracted so they don't realize they are oppressed, too. In Squid Game, it doesn't matter if the white person is green shirt or a middle management position, if they aren't the ones sitting in the cigar room they still have no power and are expendable to the gold face elites.
Given the nature of irrational hatred, it would seem like metahumans would be a target and not just mutants. The fear and hatred would seem to stem from power itself and not just evolved power. One possible explanation is the implications for the human race. Metahumans might be seen as one-off freaks, outliers due to circumstances that can't be recreated, and possessing powers that can't be repeated. Mutants, on the other hand, represent an evolutionary process. Seen from the eyes of bigots and hate groups, mutants will replace mundane mankind. Of course, many metahumans seem to pass along the meta gene (for storytelling purposes), so it would seem the powered offspring of metas would be hated just as much as mutants.
Mmmmm ohhh snap I didn't't think about like dat. Wowwww praise GOD. See this is why we need a Faith and Biblical perspective. This blesses us to see things from a Whole better and new level. A better lence
Think about it. Why did he name hom Nimrod of all things? WHY? Because for the most hateful people to justify their actions sometimes they use The name of GOD. So naming him Nimrod would speak a great deal and send a message. A personal one
Although this Sentinal had a brief moment in Power of X issue 1, the Theta Sentinel seemed a bit prominently despite serving Nimrod the Lesser. Especially since the Theta Sentinel we saw kinda had some personality.
Ngl Days of Future Past was probably the most deadly & menacing versions of the sentinels I’ve ever seen, really did make them seem as horrific as they are supposed to be depicted
The way that your voice was saying mold was really weird and once it got to the point he was saying master mold and mother mold I think I almost had a stroke
Nimrod followed Rachel Summers temporal jaunt. Nimrod appeared as a result of Doctor Strange using Magik ability to move in space/time, thus preventing Kulan Gath taking over a man's body. D
@@nightal78 didn't say it wasn't. That said, I think the time travel element came afterwards. Sentinels were written before terminator, but the time travel stuff was after I think.
The "Days of Future Past" movie had the ugliest Sentinel designs. I liked the Sentinels from the 90s X-Men show and the Sentinel Squad One designs. The main reason I liked the 90s X-Men show and Sentinel Squad One designs is because the heads, with their robotic human look, just seem very off. If you try to imagine fighting one of the ones I mentioned, their faces are just soulless (yes, I know they're supposed to look like that, but just go with it). Their faces literally say, "'I'm here to kill you.'"
I was always a little surprised that Master Mold wasn't in the Days Of Future Past movie. They could've shown him as a threat from the future or maybe a villainous prototype version in the present. I would've like that more than Magneto once again betraying Charles and becoming the Big Bad.
Mark IV & Mark VI sentinels to me are the scariest because of their hollow plastic human faces. They’re supposed to be non threatening to humans but end up being the most horrific looking abominations.
Theory: Bolvar Trask was a good engineer but an excellent thief. He stole the power system from Stark. He stole the AI technology from Hank Pym. They built an army of giant killer robots, running on Ultron code
You forgot the Sentinel From the "Sentinel" series. Created By Sean McKeever and art by Eric Vedder. It was a unique with the standard Mark 3 design including self repair. Found in a scrap yard, Repaired by a teen and then a cockpit was added. In a funny "Iron Giant" like story line the Sentinel became attached to its salvager Juston. Later on in the story line they added a Stealth model. I do admit it wasnt exactly the Mutant kill you were looking for but it had the same programing, in theory.
There’s also nana from the rebooted marvel zombies that Spider-Man fixed up , but as the rest of your comment points out these are sentinels but they *aren’t* mutant killers
My only question is 2:07 why is Cyclops(im assuming it's him) wearing a quicksilver costume. Edit: I've found the answer xmen #59, the xmen switched costumes with the brotherhood of evil mutants to confuse the sentinals, this would make the sentinals unable to adapt to the correct power of each mutant.
Nimrod - There have been nearly 4 different Nimrods. DOFP's Nimrod became e il again as Bastion. Cable and X-Force (New Mutants) defeated the very first Nimrod prototype. Krakoa's Nimrod.
This Is Always my favorite because this relates to me as a person. I Love the X men. And I Truly do believe the sentinels are a worthy adversary. BUT there are those who made them. And I gotta say, I don't like em so much. Maan... It's Messed up man. But I can easily compare this to Real Life. Somebody need to know what I'm talking about.
Very Nice ‼️ However, I do believe that you missed the Sentinels from the storyline "Age of Apokolips ". It's the story line were Xavier's son accidentally kills his Father, changing the Timeline, making Magneto the founder/leader of the X Men.
If you are watching after this X-Men 97 ❤ I still say Bastion is behind the attack but if it is who everyone thinks it is this is going to be legendary.
One of the biggest reasons I never cared for the live action days of future past movie is because of what was shown in this video the movie left out. It should have had master mold at least in it and have Nimrod at the beginning of the movie being the one hunting down Bishop and Forge alongside him. At least the 90s cartoon run had Nimrod in it and now the 97 season 1 run has Bastion.
There’s been a lot of versions of master mold and the sentinels but is there one where Ultron and Master mold merge or work together? Holy shit that would be Apocalypse type of threat !!!
They should start marvel comics from the beginning. Tell all the stories again from scratch but make them tie in. Project Wide Awake could tie in with the superhuman / mutant registration act. It would be sick.
Trask was right though 🤷🏽♂️ I mean knowing how humans are, if humans suddenly could teleport, create nuclear blasts, control minds, bend reality, etc. we all know that the vast majority would use their powers for selfish and destructive purposes. Though it's good to believe in people's good too. I guess.
Could someone help find the title of a comic book series, it's about knights fighting in a realm in the sky. They fly on dragon like beasts with smooth features, and they dwell on mountains because a impenetrable fog or mist has covered the earth.
