17 Guinea Pigs dumped at a local shelter. It really feels like this crisis is never ending.
Thank Goodness we have a small village so we could help some of them but there are SOOO many more in need. Its really hard to go to the shelter and leave any behind.
SCGPR is a 501c3 rescue run by foster volunteers, and our organization operates entirely on donations. Our network spans the whole of Southern California, and we work to serve every community throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Oh my gosh, thankful for that neighbor as it could have been worse healthwise for the guinea pigs too. How wonderful for all to pull together to help these piggies and thank you Val and Wee Companions!

Oh Valarie, what in the world is wrong with people. Bless their hearts. Just a constance piggie mill. Thank goodness for you and the others. And the neighbor who convinced this sick person who just did not give a rat's pootootie that what shebwas doing was cruel and inhumane!!!! 😢😢😢

I really don’t know what’s wrong with people. The shelter volunteers told me that this owner really didn’t understand why her breeding these pigs was such a bad thing. Thank goodness for that neighbor, she really did help stop a potential situation that could have ended up in hundreds of pigs.

Thank God for the groups pulling together! But it just baffles me why people do the things they do with animals? Your piggies look so adorable! What is the happy little white guinea pig' name? Thank you.

So all of the piggies you see in that cage are the ones we picked up from the shelter. The little white one and the others don’t have names yet and they’ll all be heading to San Diego on Saturday. I sure do wish I could Keep them through. They’re just too cute 🥰
