Most Heart Breaking Guinea Pig Dump Ever 

Absolute stupidity. I hope whoever it was doesn't have any other pets.

Poor skinny pig. My mum has them and they need to be kept indoors and heated at all times and dry and clean and well fed as well. 😕

So sad and equally frustrating 😕 Skinny piggies are almost non existent here in Seattle, WA. I would of given him/her a home in an instant to be cagemates with my Abyssinian Spaulding 🐹

Just an idea… can you guys put signs around where pigs are often dumped that says something like “please call this number if you are dumping an animal so we can get it before it succumbs to the outside elements” (or something like that) and then have a designated number for these overnight dumps (or any dumps) that happen?

What an idiot. He could at least heard your story. You had a good reason for breaking the protocol. Not giving you a second chance after having saved an animals life makes him not better than people who dump animals.

I always wanted to volunteer at a shelter but if stuff like this happens a lot idk if I could take it.

I hope you dont mind me saying to me the laws for abusing an animal is far to flimsy they do not get punished enough this to me was neglect that led to murder they watched them animals suffering and i think they need to suffer and get a long prison sentence i would say more should happen but i wont say anymore i would like to say though there is this wonderful rescue and other places beg on the street if you got no money dont leave them in that heartbreaking cruel state terrible just so sad x

@@missmtstic77 I'm thinking this could have been parents who bought them for their kids who lost interest in them and the parents expected the kids to take full responsibility. They wanted no part in caring for the pigs and just left it to their young children and when the parents decided they were sick of their kids bedroom smelling, because their kids weren't cleaning the cage or caring for their guinea pigs. They dumped them in freezing weather! No excuse for this, but I know this happens all too often. Saskia really need some volunteers to guard her property at night when shes sleeping. That and or at least several cameras that she can get really good video footage of the people who do this and call the police on them.

@ i think it was funny People need to understand that there is no such thing as a "starter" pet. Not even gold fish for even they need sooo much space to swim around in, preferably a tank with sides and not a bowl so they don't get confused by their surroundings . And parents need to understand and actually know their children before getting any animal for them. Don't buy an animal just to have an animal! All animals are cute when they're babies but they're so funny n adorable and loving when they're older. It's amazing how they grow to love and trust their powers for goodness sake God trusts US to take far wow His creation ! I hate seeing people ar pet stores buying only one guinea piggie or one bird or one ferret, all of those animals besides Beta fish and hamsters need to have at least one buddy but if they can have more then they be given more friends. Smh that Skinny piggie didn't even have a chance. I'm glad that Saskia had her farm saving hundreds of piggies and other animals and educating people. That's what I use my Instagram account for, to post cute videos and pictures of my guinea piggies but to also educate people and I don't hold back. The truth is the truth. I hate when people treat animals ans human babies as accessories it's disgusting.

@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT While I would also like to see justice served for this poor baby, I think even more animals would be murdered if people were punished for giving up their neglected animals. If people know they were going to be punished they would just murder them on their own property instead of at least making somewhat of an effort like these cruel people did. If it hadn't been so cold that poor guinea pig likely would have made it, it was just a very unfortunate circumstance. I also think pets and pet products should be at least 4-5x more expensive than they are now to discourage parents from buying animals for their kids. A guinea pig should cost $200-300 in my opinion, not $15-30. The low price means people don't value their lives as much as say, a cat or a dog. There are many truly evil people in this world.

Last week, youtube's algorithm got me to watch a lioness chase an hours-old giraffe for miles, then apparently kill it with the usual throat crush... only to have the newborn later get up and walk into a river, stand there for six hours in torrential rain, give up and drown.

Thank you , for giving your sweet piggies anther good home, I no that it had to be hard to let them go god bless you, I also have Asthma but they don’t make me me sneeze or wheeze , it’s there dandruff that When ever I hold touch hole or pet cats dogs rabbits and guinea pigs i can not touch my eyes or they will drive me crazy itching until I go wash them out with eye wash and the same thing with hay i could go on a hay ride only if I Cover the hay that i was sitting on because if it picked or scratch my skin I it would make me itchy like crazy and wool makes me itch until I take it off of my skin as long as I wash my hands after holding or petting my piggies before touching my eyes I had no problems, but with air fresheners, perfumes cigarettes smoke a auther things that are burning will make me wheeze, I’m sorry you have Asthma

I say just surrender the pigs and call it a day, no questions asked. The people who kept these guinea pigs in terrible conditions are not going to understand why one would be angry.

Thank you so much for the sweet little guy they are full of so much love ❤️ and god bless you for giving him the unconditional love that he so desperately needed, I also in 2011 took in two sweet little boy and a old male to mouths later i was at a farmer’s market and the pet store that I knew had 12 baby guinea pigs that each time they would come out of the hide there was about 3 feet and i would start a piggy train it was so cute and seen the littlest piggy it had the same colors as Harley the older boy I could tell that it was a runt of the litter and I took her home with me she had her on cage right next to my bed and boys cages close to my bed her name become Squeakers And she got the boys that were abused to squeak again and the younger robot was a year old and I named him sweety i was adorable to give Harley beautiful loving home for a little over a year before he passed away lung infection my guinea pig veterinarian she gave him antibiotics and it would keep coming back, and i still miss him my sweety lived for seven years right next to squeakers till I had to take him in my arms and tell him that it’s going to be ok and that he was going to fall sleep in my arms and go over the rainbow 🌈 bridge to heaven with the outer guinea pigs that are all ready there and the next year my little squeakers was seven and she had what looked like to be a stroke she could not get to her water bottle so that night in my queen bed i took her favorite soft blanket that she would pull into the side of her cage and and made her one hide since she was little but i would put the blanket on top of her cage and I pull the corner of of her blanket in through the wire six inches high and 12 inches and fold it underneath, I took her blanket and folded it and round and round and put her in the center because she she would try to walk and her left side little foot would go right out from underneath her and she would fall over the good thing was she didn’t try to get out of the blanket that I fixed for her i surrendered feed her water and kreccare i couldn’t sleep that night I cuddle up and her till the morning and i took her to my veterinarian to hold her in my arms and tell her that I was going to be okay that she would be fall sleep in my arms and going over the rainbow 🌈 bridge and going to heaven to be with all the other guunea pigs in heaven and that is we’re I’m going to go when it’s my time when I left the veterinarian with my my squeakers I look up at the sky and there was a beautiful rainbow 🌈

@@tammylines2779 Hi Tammy. yes this broke my heart too. An had me wanting to say a lot of things but I instead took a deep breath and thought about what all could have caused this situation. In no way excusing it. I had some people at a feed store trying to basically tell me I'm stupid for thinking guinea pigs can't survive in the cold. They brought up how guinea pigs live in the wild and that they can survive. I was trying to explain to them that domesticated guinea pigs can't live like the ones in the wild, but they just continued to act like I don't know what I'm talking about. I think the people thought that putting a little blanket over it would be enough, so sad. 💯😢💔

@@JaneMiller0101 Even with camera's unless police can identify the suspect they are not going to go out of their way to try and figure out who it is. Yes it is illegal in most states to just dump an animal off. The problem is it's almost impossible to catch the people that do it. I know I kept telling everyone Saskia really needs camera's. I mean it would help in some cases maybe. An have signs posted everywhere warning people that the property is under video surveillance and anyone caught dumping off guinea pigs will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, might be enough to deter some people if they know they are on camera and could face jail time if caught. Right now people aint worried because they don't think they are being recorded. If not camera's maybe if she had a volunteer she could trust to guard her place at night time. They could catch the person in the act or at the very least bring the pig in to safety where it wont freeze to death, but I don't know if she has anyone who would do that for her that she could depend on. or if someone would be willing to guard her place at night to prevent this

@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT Camera's will stop such people from placing their former pets where they'll get help. Illegal as it may be, these people do dump them where there is skilled help. Better a safe box to place them in if you need to rehome a pet on such short notice than creating barriers against such steps. And ditto for the official rehoming places. Some people cannot take the step of bringing their pet to be rehomed if that means people interactions. They'll feel judged or whatever and leave the animal to suffer untill dead or dump it in a park/forest somewhere.
