Well.......no......He is top of the line with Castlevania and Vampire Hunter D. I doubt there is any other better representation in anime of vampires than these 3.

I translated & subtitled the X OVA back then, the day it came out in Japanese. My version was the first to be available in the entire world. This OVA will always hold a special place in my heart.
owlstag awn “Sinners will be allowed no quarter. Kill them all, and let God sort them out.” - Alexander Anderson. I know you said it first, but I wanted to correct it. On the reason, because it’s a really good line that he threw back at Maxwell.
The original Hellsing had its vibe far more down to a cool, dark urban fantasy type of show, which is exactly what it was. The Hellsing ultimate music is more for a grand, epic dark fantasy type of show. While the Hellsing ultimate soundtrack have such an ost, most of it is composed from some rock bits which sounds cool, but does not convey the epicness and darkness. On the other hand, every ost in the Hellsing soundtrack nailing the type of show it is, hence why we say it have a better music overall.
@@docbaker3333 true, but in ultimate, the music was very poorly used. it have some amazing tracks, but many of them weren't used properly, such as this one. On the other hand, each and every track in the original TV show was used perfectly. And yes, the Ultimate OVA serise is undoubtly superior in nearly every apsect to the OG serise, but the ONLY aspect in which the OG is better is the music and it's execution.
How do you make music for an anime about an old virgin from British Protestant Church, wielding none other than Dracula himself as a weapon, fighting the modern crusaders of Vatican and an undying Catholic demigod, and *GHOUL NAZIS*? With a full-fledge old-school motherfucking orchestra, that's how.
the perfect Dracula/vampire theme! i dedicate this to BELA LUGOSI AND CHRISTOPHER lee and of curse the voice actors of this badass Alucard , joji Nakata and Crispin freeman!
Sadly, no. I've never seen any other animes which resembels hellsing. Even The other Hellsing anime I feel is to different to say it's like Helling Ultimate.
I'd say Blood+, Blood C and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure have lots of vampires, action and awesome characters, if that's what you're looking for. Also, Fate/Zero is something almost if not just as epic. X)
Dude, I love both dubs (and I love the japanese dub of Hellsing as well), and Crispin Freeman is a voice god. And now, thinking back, the pull at about the same point. But please. Steve Blum is absolutely perfect as Spike, and everyone for their respective rolls.

No, Bleach is not at all like Hellsing- Hellsing focuses mainly on three characters, while Bleach is stretched out thin over a hundred. Nothing really compares to Alucard's power, Seras' struggle, and Integra's constant war.
The Major's unique strength of will, his ideology, and his motivation are what make him the most fascinating animated villain that I have ever seen. Even his subordinates - the Doctor and the Captain - each hold some intriguing plot device that make them easily recognizable and mysterious in a good way. Hell, even the side characters like Mr. Bernadot and Penwood were of strong character, even though they weren't a necessary part of the story as plot devices; Penwood could have just been a general, and Mr. Bernadot could've been a no-name mercenary, but they took it further than that because they COULD. That's why I love Hellsing!
Alucard: (After Seeing Whatever the FUCK that was in Dandy-Dick's Mind: ) Oooooohohohohohoho-! Oh- HohohohHOHOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-!!!
When death and hell are smiling from above .. Your steps will walk with you in this chanting .. You will realise that Satan is the only one who is laughing on your sins
technobabble123 Yes, but I love Bram stokers Dracula (which I read AFTER watching hellsing) and it opened many things for me that happened in the series.
Sorry for not clarifying. I meant to compare their trait and personality. Being both a fan of Dio and Alucard, I know there is something very different about them. Let's see, Dio's charming, and could gather followers and deceive them for himself. Pucchi's probably his only friend. Alucard? He doesnt need followers. Dio never feel remorse or regret for what he's done. Alucard still thinks of his past. Alucard is "darker" if it has nothing to do with his past. Dio, is "dark" all the same.
I'm not gonna get into an e-peen debate over which of the series has a better dub, so I'm just going to simply say that it is preference and we should accept eachothers opinion.
